Alexia Eden(107)

As I walk into the dark house I panic, I could have never been prepared for what I was seeing when I switched her bedroom light on. Lexi was lying curled up in the middle of the bed clutching a blood stained blanket. Her naked back facing me and I could see the bruises covering her back and her bare arm. Her back is covered in welts and long slits of dried blood. Someone whipped her, the marking is all too obvious. I walk closer as I watch her lay there frozen staring at the curtains that cover her window.

"What happened Lexi!" I cry out as I rush to her side, her one eye is swollen shut and her face is covered in dry blood with a few scratches on her face. I look at her wrists and I gasp, they are slit the whole way around, the skin raw, I lift my hand to move the blooded piece of hair stuck to her forehead and she flinches away from me wincing.

"Oh my God, who did this? What happened?" I ask her leaning my knees onto the floor in front of her so I'm at eye level.

She just stares numbly over my shoulder at the curtain as she mumbles distantly, "Drake..."

My eyes widen as the shock takes over, how could he do this to her? I quickly pull the curtains opens trying to get more light into the room so I can access the damage. I need to get her out of here.

"We need to tell Jax about this or his dad, Drake needs to be punished. He can't get away with doing this to you!" I yell and notice her wince.

"No! No one can know about this, especially not Jax. Just help me get up because I can't, then you can leave." She says bluntly and I know she trusted me to help her so that's what I'm going to do.

"I'm not leaving you like this, I'm going to run a bath so you can wash all the blood off, then we can clean up those cuts and put ice on your eyes." I run out of the room before she can tell me to leave and put the water on in the tub of the shower.

After getting the bath ready for her, I send Ronny a text knowing I will be a while here.

CHLOE at 12:36pm: Hi Hun, I'm not feeling well so I'm going to head home. Let me know when you’re @ the house & I'll stop by. Love you! Mwa

RONNY at 12:37pm: What's wrong? Do you want me to come with you?

CHLOE at 12:37pm: No Ron its fine really, just a little headache & I can't focus on school work, see you in a couple of hours.

RONNY at 12:39pm: Ok Love you hope u feel better.

I make my way over to Lexis's room, I can see her struggling to lift her weak body to a sitting position so I rush over to her side to help her up but she flinches at my touch.

"Please Lex, let me help you. I won't hurt you, I just want to help." I say trying to keep the tears at bay because I need to be strong for her. I don't want her to see that I’m weak or make her think she made the wrong move calling me to help her.

She nods but I can see she is still hesitant when I gently touch her and try to help her up. She finally gets into a seating position, the white mattress and bedding is stained with blood.

"Did he do more than beat you?” I ask cautiously having to know just how far he went.

“No.”

"I'm still going to kill him." I say angrily. Her attention snaps to me and she puts her bloody hand on my shoulder making sure I listen to what she saying.

"No! Chloe you don't go near him! Don't mentioned one word of this to him...he could hurt you for finding out about this. You need to be safe! If he finds out you know he will come back and do worse. We need to hurry before he gets back!" she says starting to panic. The terror that takes hold of her face and body shows the horror that Drake put her through last night and I tremble from the fear that radiates from her.

I help her up but she can barely walk, I know she's in pain as her small body stumbles and limps beside me taking short breaths but she doesn't cry.

How could he destroy someone he loves like this? He is out of control....

I help her into the bath with the thin sheet still wrapped around her; she hesitantly pulls the sheet off and hands it to me. As she lowers herself into the water I grasp as I notice how bruised and beaten her body is.

The clear water now has a pink tint as she sits in it; she lifts her knees slowly wincing at the pain from the welts that are on her bottom and lower back then she turns her head so she is facing the wall as she rests her cheek on her knee. I take that as her wanting privacy.

I turn and make my way out but she stops me as she mumbles with a soft voice, "Don't go..." it's almost a whisper but I hear her.

I lean against the tub and use a jug to pour water gently down her back, she winces at the contact and continues to sit tensely as I pour the water over the cuts and remove the dry blood with a cloth. I gently wipe away the blood on her wrists, face and neck. I wash her hair avoiding the cuts near her hairline on her forehead. She washes her legs and the rest of her body. The water is cold by the time she pulls the plug draining the bloody water.
