The Prince’s Forbidden Lover(55)

Sitra was having none of that. “Daddy, you told me the other day that Mica was too pushy. And when Badri tried to pull my hair, you told me to be pushy right back.”

Joline cringed when the admissions were made. When Rais lifted his eyes to hers, she tried to distract him. “Aren’t you going to get angry with Badri for pulling our daughter’s hair?”

Rais looked at Sitra and winked. “You got him back, didn’t you?”

Sitra’s grin widened. “Of course, Daddy. Just like you taught me.”

Mica’s fist pumped into the air. “Yeah!”

Joline rolled her eyes. “We do not condone violence,” she told both of her children.

Sitra’s wide, hazel eyes looked up at her mother’s. “I didn’t hurt him. I put a pink bow in Zeus’ ears and took pictures,” she explained. Zeus was Badri’s German Shephard dog and best friend. And a mighty, ferocious beast who protected all of the children as if they were his own puppies.

Rais and Joline stared at their daughter for a long moment before bursting out with laughter. “Good girl!” Rais said, kissing her smooth, little girl cheek. “Ingenuity and beauty,” he said and looked at Joline as well. “A dangerous combination.”
