Shelter Me(49)

“Touch your pussy for me, baby. Tell me how wet you are for me.”

I obey, running two fingers down my slit and dipping them inside.

“Oh God, Luke. I’m so wet for you right now, baby. I want you so much. You feel so good. I want you so deep inside of me right now.”

“I am, baby. Slide a finger inside yourself and stroke your clit with your thumb. That’s me touching you, Shayne.”

“I want to touch you, too,” I whisper breathlessly.

I hear Luke’s breath become uneven.

“Baby, you are. My cock is in my hand and I can feel your sweet, luscious lips all around it. You’re taking me deep into your mouth. So damned good,” he growls. “Fuck yourself with that finger.”

I pump my finger in and out of my wetness, burying my face into a pillow to smother my screams so I don’t wake Lucy. I feel energy rising from my tingling feet all the way to the top of my head as my body tenses on the edge of orgasm. With one final surge of my fingers I shout my release, listening as Luke finds his own, screaming my name.

I lie there waiting as my harsh breathing calms down. After a moment, Luke breaks the silence.

“Fucking hell, Shayne,” he pants. “Do you know how many times I have jacked myself off over the last seven years thinking of you? The noise you make when you cum, the way your hair flows across the pillow while I have my head buried between those long legs of yours. Now that I know you’re the mother of my child, it makes me love and want you so much more. I love you so fucking much, Shayne Andrews. So fucking much, baby.”

Still out of breath from my orgasm and from his words, I slowly lift myself up off my bed.

“I love you so much too, baby,” I manage to get out.

“Goodnight, love,” he chuckles. “Sleep well. I will be there tomorrow.”

I hang up the phone and throw myself back on my pillows. Grabbing my beer, I down half of it and lay my head back, repeating the words he just spoke over and over in my head.

************

Looking down at my half naked body, I thank God I still have my shirt on and that Lucy is such a hard sleeper. Rolling out of bed, I grab a pair of shorts then pull up the blinds. I face the direction of the early morning sun where it has just risen and it feels so good on my skin.

Lucy is still sound asleep in her room, so I decide to make some coffee while I wait for her to wake up. I check the time on my phone to see how long I have before I need to get Lucy up for breakfast and a shower so she can go with Adam.

It’s later than I thought. I get the coffee going and start to climb the stairs to get her up when I hear the front door click open. In walks Adam carrying a few cups of coffee and what looks like a bag from my favorite donut shop. I run back to him and go up on my tiptoes, giving him a kiss on the cheek as he sets everything down.

Snatching the bag off of the counter, I take a big whiff of the contents. Mmm. I can smell a cranberry lemon muffin and my mouth starts to water. Pulling it out of the bag, I take a big bite as Adam starts to laugh.

“What?” I ask through a mouthful of muffin.

“If I didn’t know you so well I would say you’re happier to see that muffin than you are me.”

“Well this morning I am because I love these things.”

“I know you do. I brought you a vanilla caramel latte too, but could I at least get a ‘Good morning, Adam’ before you shovel it in?” We both start laughing so hard. Adam pulls me into his arms and kisses the top of my head.

“That is the best sound I have heard in a long time,” he says pulling back from me a bit.

“What is?”

“The sound of your laugh. You’re happy. What gives?”

Reaching around him to take the coffee I gesture for us to take a seat at the table and tell him everything that Luke and I talked about yesterday and how wonderful he is with Lucy. I listen to him talk for a few more minutes about his plans with her for the day not wanting to interrupt him but needing to ask him why he didn’t tell me he talked to Luke. I wait until he goes to freshen up his coffee from the fresh pot and then I pounce.

“Why didn’t you tell me that Luke called you after he found out about Lucy?”

Adam pauses for a moment but goes right back to fixing his coffee nonchalantly.

“Well, I wanted to make sure we talked face to face, and I haven’t seen you,” he shrugs. “He called a few hours after you left and asked me why I never told him anything. I told him it wasn’t my place to tell him and after a few harsh words, he finally agreed with me. Then he wanted to know everything. I filled him in on all I thought I could, then told him that the rest had to come from you. I stressed what an amazing job you have done with her and that you deserved for him to listen to you.” He gently places his hand on my shoulder. “He needed someone to talk to, Shayne.”
