Shafted(Devil's Blaze MC 4)(85)

“Shh, baby I got you. You’re safe now,” I tell her, holding her captive.

“Don’t you ever do that to me again,” she cries, her entire body shaking, so much my body jerks with her.

“Okay sweetheart,” I tell her still holding her close. I’m never letting her go, not ever.

“Jesus, I never want a woman,” Keys mumbles walking over to us.

“Thanks brother,” I tell him, searching his face.

“Keys! You’re hurt!” Bree yells, as if she’s just now realizing it. She gets up going to inspect his wound.

“It’s just a scratch. He just grazed me,” he shrugs at her.

“We better get you inside and clean it just the same. You don’t want an infection,” she mutters through her tears, trying to lead Keys toward the compound. That’s my girl.

“Hey what about me?” I smother a smile.

“I can’t talk to you right now,” she mutters refusing to look at me.

“Why the hell not?” I growl, getting up.

She waves her hand at me as though I’m a nuisance. “Because you said horrible things about me! In front of everyone! Even my grandfather!”

“What I said wasn’t horrible.”

“It was!” Her eyes land on me for a brief second before she turns her attention away.

“And it was not a lie!” I yell, trying to get her to dial her anger down a notch.

“I’m never doing that with you again!”

“Doing what?” I ask her, catching up to her and a reluctant Keys who looks like he’s about to burst out laughing. Hell, Pops is standing just behind me and that fucker is laughing.

“You know! I’m never touching your cock again.” Her eyes smolder, I know deep down she wants me.

“You’re lying.”

“I am not! You’ll be the one to spank the monkey,” she mutters giving up on pulling Keys with her and just walking off. I let her go, I’ll deal with her attitude in a minute.

“Pops?”

“Yeah, boy?” He steps forward awaiting orders. Fuck. I really do like the bastard.

“See to the body.”

He squints at me. “Reckon’ I will. Too bad we don’t have some of those gators Colton was wanting.”

“Told you. Florida is where it’s at,” Colton says. Shit, I forgot all about him. I spare him a glance and he’s holding a gun too. I wonder how many people Jeff had shooting holes in him? Not enough, that’s for damn sure.

“Where you going to be while we’re doing your dirty work?” Colton asks.

“Proving to my woman she can’t live without my dick,” I yell overtop of Bree’s screaming as I pick her up, throwing her tight little body over my shoulder, then I stomp off toward our bedroom.

I guess being a president does have its perks.

Chapter Sixty-Two

Bree

“How does it feel to be kissing a high school graduate, honey?” I ask Jax as we break apart. I just attended my graduation ceremony, which was really just getting my diploma at the school board by the superintendent. It was even at his office, which is located by the bus garage. Not very fancy, and no big shindig for me. However, after all of the crap with Jeff, having to bury a woman who was like a surrogate mother, and just everything else, I needed simple. Besides, I have plans and this works right along with them.

“I don’t know,” he says and he’s smiling, looking more relaxed than I’ve ever seen him. “It was pretty hot giving my dick to a schoolgirl.” He grins wide showing his pearly whites.

“Pervert,” I laugh, shaking my head at him. He joins in and gives me a squeeze while placing a kiss along the inside of my neck and shoulder.

“We better get going baby. Pops is planning a surprise party for you. Don’t want to disappoint the old buzzard.”

I look up at him, loving the smile he is giving me. “How’s it going to be a surprise if you tell me?”

He shakes his head. “Like you didn’t know. I swear that man doesn’t know the meaning of the word secret.”

“Well, last night, when he stood up in the bar and demanded everyone be there tomorrow at three to celebrate with his Breezy, I did kind of get an idea.” I wink.

“He’s smooth, that grandfather of yours.” He places a quick kiss to the top of my head.

“You like him,” I tease.

“He’s growing on me—kind of like a wart. Anyways, we better get going. You’ll need to change before the party.” He looks down at his watch. “It’s almost time now.”

“You don’t like what I’m wearing?” I ask him, trying to hide my grin. We’re weaving through the school buses.
