Sexin' My Man's Best Friend(20)

In the meantime, I was enjoying my life again. Baby Travis brought so  much joy to my life. Just last week, Tayla had come over for the first  time to see her baby brother. She was so happy and loved her little  brother. She held him tight and cried when she had to leave us; I missed  her so much. Cynthia had also been stopping by to help during the day  when Travis was at work. She was such a big help.

I wish that it was the summer time, so I could go outside and show off  my fat little man. Travis was already talking about playing football  with him. He wasn't even three months old. I could tell Travis  absolutely loved being a father. When Travis was around, I'd be lucky to  breast feed my baby in peace. Travis was around all the time.

Today, me and baby Travis were finally alone. It was just us and I was  more than happy. I had that bonding time with him just watching him  suckle on my breast while I brushed his soft hair. I was caught off  guard when I heard my buzzer sound off. I figured it was Travis because  he told me he would only be at work for a couple of hours and to expect  him back soon.

Without checking to make sure it was him, I just buzzed him in. Travis  felt he should have a key to my place but I quickly simmered that down.  It wasn't like I was working or anything. I was always home so his  getting a key was not necessary. I unlocked the door so I wouldn't have  to get up and open it for him. I wanted to continue having bonding time  with Travis Jr.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in, it's open, Travis." I yelled out.

To my surprise, no one came through the door. I yelled out again for him  to come inside, but still nothing. Irritated, I pulled down my shirt  and laid Travis Jr. down on his blanket. When I opened the door, not  even God could have prepared me to see Taylor standing on my doorstep. I  didn't know what to do or say. All I could do was staring at him. I  hadn't seen him in almost a year, so seeing him on my doorstep was  shocking.

"May I come in? I need to speak with you." Taylor said in his normal meek tone.

Without second thinking it, I stepped aside so he could come in. I shut  the door and told him to follow me to the sofa that was across from the  couch that Baby Travis was squirming on.

When Taylor saw baby Travis for the first time, he smiled at him.

"Good looking, kid." Taylor complimented. I couldn't help but blush.

"Ummm, thank you," was all I could say. An awkward silence filled the  air. "So, what was it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked, as we  both took our seat.

Taylor cleared his throat and exhaled. I could tell he was taking his  time to get his thoughts together. I had to admit that I was scared of  what he would say. I just knew he was going to tell me he made up his  mind that our marriage was over and that we would share custody of  Tayla; I just knew it.

"Well, first, I wanna say that I'm still not fully over what you was  doing behind my back. I knew something was going on because you wouldn't  want to sleep with me, But because I thought you were better than that,  I shrugged it off," he paused briefly, then started back at it. I just  sat and listened.

"I knew something was suspicious when your belly had gotten bigger  rather quickly. To only be two months pregnant, something wasn't right  but again, I shrugged it off because I just knew you couldn't, or better  yet wouldn't cheat on me. However, this entire time though, I couldn't  stop thinking about you. I wanted so badly to be over you and to just  let you and Travis be. I know you don't deserve me but I just can't let  you go." Taylor stopped talking, and stared at me. "I can't live without  you Sundy Jones. I've tried … . I've tried for months to move on from you  but I can't do it. Our good still outweighs the bad and ugly. Whenever I  think about the good times, I smile. You're my world, my heart, my soul  mate; I need you with me."

By this time, tears were running down my face like a waterfall, nothing  but tears of joy. I was so happy that Taylor was not giving up on us and  that he still loved me just as much as I loved him. I wrapped my arms  around him and hugged him tightly. It had been an entire year since I've  felt his body, his skin, and his soft lips. I took full advantage of  the situation. I wrapped my lips around his and was kissing my husband  passionately.

"Oh my God, Taylor. Thank you. Thank you for forgiving me. I promise to  do right by you. I love you so much. You have no idea how happy I am," I  cried.

Taylor hugged me tighter and stroked my hair. "I love you too baby. Always have, always will. Come back home."

"Are you sure that's what you want?" I asked, wiping the tears away. "I  mean, are you comfortable with baby Travis being around?" I questioned.

I needed to know that for certain because if Taylor was going to feel ill will towards my baby, then I couldn't go back.

He took his time answering my question. I knew he was going to answer it  honestly. "I've thought about that too and I know that if I want you  back, your son will be in my life as well, which is not a problem for  me."

Those words were music to my ears. I missed our home. I missed Tayla and  I missed Taylor; I missed it all. I couldn't wait to pack up and head  back home where I belonged.

"What about Travis? He's coming over later to see baby Travis."

Taylor rubbed his goatee. "Tell him to come by the house to see him.  Figure out something because you're coming back home today so get to  packing. "

I smiled widely. "You don't know how worried I was, Taylor. I thought  our marriage was truly over. When you were ignoring me, I thought you  would never forgive me," I admitted.

Taylor hugged me again and whispered in my ear. "I love you, girl. Now go pack."

I did as told and packed up baby Travis' clothes. I wasn't too worried  about mine because I knew I still had clothes at Taylor's home, plus I  could always come back to get them. It didn't take me long to pack up  baby Travis. I was on my way back to my true home.

NINETEEN

Being back at my home was more than I could ask for. Taylor was treating  me and baby Travis like we truly belonged. When Travis first found out  that we left the condo and returned back to Taylor's, after Taylor came  to take me back home, he was furious. He thought Taylor was trying to  keep his son from him. I had to express to Travis that was not the case  at all. I let him know Taylor and I were working on our marriage but it  would not affect him seeing his child.

"How the fuck I know that, Sundy? What if Taylor try to do something to my son? Then what!" he yelled.

"Travis don't even go there," I snapped. "You know Taylor would never  hurt him. He hasn't said anything about you not seeing your son. You can  come get him anytime you please or I could always bring him to you!"

It had been three months since returning home and Travis was still not  comfortable with baby Travis being at Taylor's home. Travis adored his  son, he needed him; he lived for him. Travis Jr. was the reason that  Travis breathed, and that reason alone is what brought me to the  decision of maybe letting Travis raise his son. I knew that this was a  big step for him but more so me, than anyone else. I told Taylor earlier  before he went to work, that when he got back I needed to speak with  him. Even though Taylor wasn't his father, Taylor was my husband and his  opinion meant a lot to be; he was my husband after all

I sat around in the kitchen waiting for Taylor to arrive. Marcia was no  longer working for us. Taylor told me he fired her the day of our  argument, that he no longer liked her and she needed to go He said he  didn't like her anymore and she needed to go. He hired a new maid but  when I returned, I fired her too and informed Taylor that I wanted to do  all the cooking, cleaning, and washing around our home. That's what I  was there for, to be a queen in my castle and he agreed with me.

I could hear Taylor's shoes click-clack on the marble floors as he walked through the house to the kitchen; it was dead silent.

When he entered the kitchen, he smiled and pecked me on the cheek.

"What's up, boo ?" He took his seat next to me.

Slightly smirking, I sucked in my bottom lip. "Taylor, I was thinking  about something." I paused to gather my thoughts because allowing my  baby to go live in a home I wasn't going to be living in was not easy.  "You know how Travis throws fits about baby Travis being here and he  feels the baby should be with him since he's all by himself while I have  my hands full?"

Taylor nodded his head. "Yeah, what about it?"
