Seduced By The British Billionaire(22)

She nodded, rather shamefully. “I paint when I’m stressed.” She admitted, sitting next to him.

He relaxed a little and admired her work. “I never did tell you what I do for a living, did I?”

Flipping her hair back from her ebony skin, she shook her head. “We never even got that acquainted with each other. I feel as if we are doing everything backwards.” She volunteered.

He agreed, taking a sip of tea and then wincing as it singed his lips from the heat. “If I may, I would like to start over,” he suggested. “Can I do that?”

She debated for a second before answering, twirling her hair habitually. “I don’t know. You’re still married and things are so complicated…”

“I understand.” He nodded. “I’m an art collector.” He smiled on a different note. “My uncle actually left me a rather exquisite art business that buys and collects art…such as yours. You seem rather promising actually.” He beamed towards her sincerely. “This is one of the things I couldn’t help but like about you.”

The scent of tea filled the room, making it feel calm and peaceful. Amber leaned towards him, extremely intrigued. But as she got closer, the hypnotic perfume of him wafted over her, threatening to drive her resolve to a place where she could never return. It tingled and tickled her senses until she couldn’t stand it anymore. She felt the urge of the other passionate night washing out any ill feelings she had towards him until there was nothing in the void of her heart but a desire so deep, it was almost impossible for her to ignore.

“Wow.” She swooned, attempting her best to control the situation.

“I love you,” he said almost awkwardly. His eyes betrayed the feeling before the words finished exiting his mouth. “I don’t expect you to understand, Amber Baptiste, but I hope that maybe you could give me a second chance. I can’t guarantee what will happen in the future. I live in the now. I wake up every day thinking about you and go to bed every night hoping that I will live another day to wake up to your face in my head.” He reached out his hand to touch her cheek gently. Her eyes began to moisten with tears when his confession fully came out. She wanted to believe him so badly.

He finished. “I’m not staying with Liv. I can’t do it when I feel this way about someone else. And whether you decide to give me another chance, I can’t keep going in this marriage. I want to take you out on a date and do things right. I wish we could erase everything and just start over.”

He was pouring out his soul bare before her. He was naked, all aspect of his ego left in the dust. He was just a simple man in love. The emotional girl she was slipped out with a single tear. Embarrassed, she tried to turn her face but he held her in place. His eyes pierced into her soul, crumbling every shield she had built for herself. This time, he didn’t ask to kiss her. He leaned in, wiping the deserted tear with his thumb. Gently planting his lips on hers, she battled herself until everything came crashing down. Any resolve melted away in the tenderness of his touch. She was swept away by him, completely helpless and blissful.

She kissed him in return, feeling the softness of his lips, and his fingers sliding on her neck. His breath mingled with her own; those sweet pheromones prying such longing. Their kiss intensified until she forgot everything. All that existed was the two of them. Their differences disappeared in the blink of an eye, letting her reach beyond the barrier. Her hands went up in acceptance, touching his hand and squeezing to let him know that he was forgiven. She couldn’t fight it any longer. He smiled in the middle of the kiss, making her lips almost crash into his teeth. They both giggled. Imperfection could be so attractive at times.

She grew sober, her face an inch from his. “I love you, too.” It came out before she could stop herself. It was way too soon, but it felt right. She needed to accept his feelings and convey her own.

In response to her confession, the male beast in him lashed out fully. His breaths were deep and steady, fingers trailing into her long dark hair. He pulled back on it, making her expose the front of her neck to his probing hungry lips. She yelped in surprise, tingles spreading across her skin as he softly brushed her erogenous area. He teased her, licking softly while building up the suspense. She was helpless in his grip, unable to control the situation. She didn’t even care.

When she couldn’t stand it any longer, he bit her playfully, sending her body into wanton convulsions. He zapped her with his electricity of passion, turning her on in such delightful places.
