One More Chance (Part 2)(51)

“What time is this wedding to start?” I ask feeling lost, because I didn’t plan any of it.

“At one.”

“It’s already noon,” I say nervously.

“Why the hell are you nervous?” Kenzie asks, “You’ve wanted this man forever, what on Earth is there to be nervous about?”

“I’m not really nervous, just excited. I didn’t expect this and it’s a little overwhelming.”

“Liam does have a way with things, doesn’t he?” Denise says laughing.

Just then there’s a knock at the door, “I’ll get it,” Quinn says before disappearing down the hall. It doesn’t take her long to walk back with an envelope and a small package. “It’s for you,” she says as she hands me the items with the biggest smile.

“Thanks,” I say as I stare at the envelope.

I open the envelope and pull out the letter, opening the letter to see that Liam wrote it.

Hails,

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love you. You have given me the best gift a man could ever ask for, but not only have you given me you, you’ve given me a beautiful baby girl that I’d do anything for. Today symbolizes the love that we have for each other. I know times have not always been the easiest or the best, but I can promise you that I will be the best damn husband you’ve ever seen.

When I almost lost you, it took everything out of me. I tried to remain strong because we had Lily, but I don’t know what I would have done if you weren’t okay. Baby, you make me see things and wants things out of life that I never even dreamed about. I look forward to our future babe. I love you Hails; enjoy your gift.

Love-Your Soon to be Husband,

Liam

I open the black velvet box to reveal a beautiful necklace that has a locket on it. I open it up and see Liam on one side and Lily on the other. I can’t help when my eyes start to water.

“That’s beautiful,” Mom says sweetly.

“No crying,” Kenzie shouts, causing me to laugh.

“You guys look beautiful,” I say to Kenzie, Quinn, and Rebecca who are wearing matching bridesmaid’s dresses in the blue color I picked forever ago.

“So do you,” Quinn praises as she looks at me. I’m wearing a white strapless gown that flares out at the waist down to the floor. I have a ribbon that goes around my waist that matches the girls’ dresses and Lily is in a soft white dress that has blue and silver in it, matching the theme our wedding.

A few minutes before 1:00 p.m., I’m being escorted downstairs to the back of the house where my wedding will be taking place. It’s pretty quiet around here, so there won’t be any interruptions, which I’m thankful for.

I watch as the girls walk down one by one before it’s my turn. Dad takes my hand in his and leads me toward the man I’ve loved all my life.

“I can’t believe you’re married,” Quinn coos.

“I know, thank you so much for helping with everything. It looks amazing.”

“Absolutely. Gosh, we are pretty lucky aren’t we?”

I look at her and see her watching Brody and Liam talk, as Liam feeds a hungry Lily. “Yes we are,” I say as I watch my sexy husband hold our baby girl.

As the night progresses, we dance, we drink, we laugh and I couldn’t be happier. I’m surrounded by the people I love most. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

“Have you seen Kenzie?” I ask as I glance around.

“No, but I don’t see Spence either,” Liam says with a look as he approaches.

“Am I missing something?” I ask feeling lost.

“Does Kenz like Spence?” Liam asks.

“No, not that I know of, why?”

“I’m pretty damn sure he likes her,” he says, as he looks around.

“I’m going to go look for her,” I say as I stand up.

“I’ll take her,” Denise says as she takes Lily from Liam. “You know we would love if you two would move back to Delaware when you’re done with school Hails.”

“Mom, let’s just take it a day at a time,” Liam says interrupting her.

“It was just a thought dear,” she says as she walks away.

“I’ll be back babe,” I say, as I stand and kiss my husband.

“I’ll come with you,” he says as he links his hand with mine, “Who knows what we’re about to see.”

“Oh please, she probably isn’t even with him,” I say as I call her name through the house.

“What room did she sleep in?” Liam asks, looking anything but happy.

“The one across from the bathroom,” I say as we head in that direction. I knock on the door, but there’s no answer so I turn the handle to open the door. “Holy shit,” I yell as Liam slams the door shut. “Oh my God, get that vision of Kenz and Spence out of my head,” I plead.
