Millionaire in Command(18)

He palmed just below her  breasts, stroking his thumbs along the sides,  then around to her already  tight nipples. The pressure of his gentle  torment made her ache for  more and she arched against the warm pressure  of his leg between hers.  His blue eyes darkened to near violet,  broadcasting just how much he  wanted her, too.

Her eyelids went heavy, and she couldn't stop  them from closing even as  she mourned losing the vision of him over her.  Other senses  heightening, she inhaled the tangy scent of him mixed with  the musk of  desire. Part of her felt the frantic edge of passion  clawing to get  free, but she gritted back the impulse to rush. Reality  would take over  soon enough.

She felt the hot gust of his breath  an instant before he took her  mouth. He kissed her, long and well with  the talent of a man who knew  how to please.

Tasting the pungent,  buttery flavor of brie, she explored just as  deeply. He stroked her  breasts with persistence until she wriggled  against him, hungry for  deeper pressure. And she could tell without  question he wasn't  unaffected. The hard swell of him throbbed and she  ached to learn the  intimate feel of him.

Phoebe slid her hand between them and  encircled his hard length, slowly  caressing until he rolled onto his  side, taking her with him. She  considered tumbling farther so she could  be on top. A quick glance told  her the angled ceiling was low enough  that if she lost control and  arched back she could bump her head. A  definite mood buster.

She draped her leg over his, understanding  now why he'd shifted, and  she found she liked the equality of power in  the position so very much,  especially when he hooked his thumb along the  low waistband of her  underwear. Her hand stilled, every nerve ending  focused on where his  search would lead him next … .

Yes.

Two  thick fingers dipped inside her panties, his touch cool and welcome   against her overheated flesh. He stroked, parted, found the tight  bundle  of nerves. Her hands fell away and she gripped the comforter,  tighter  and tighter until her muscles burned.

Faster, but softer he  circled until frustration knotted within her. She  nipped his lip. He  growled lowly, trailing his mouth away, along her  neck. She gasped,  again, and couldn't stop the moan that followed. If  she didn't find  relief soon, she might well scream.

"No more teasing. Finish this. Patience is for later, remember?"

"Whatever  you say, whatever you want." He traced the curve of her ear,  his  promise stroking her senses as surely as his hands, his tongue,  even the  enticing brush of his body against her.

Still, he wouldn't allow  her the release she craved. She let go of his  hip and tried to slide  her hand between them again to torment him as  fully as he was tormenting  her. He clasped her wrist, halting her  progress.

A whimper slid past her lips. "No more."

"Do you want to stop?"

"No! I mean, no more playing." She stroked the full length of him.

He groaned. "We're in agreement on that."

If nothing else.

But  she didn't want doubts or darker thoughts now. She  needed-deserved-this  stolen moment of pleasure with him. He thumbed  either side of her  panties and skimmed them down. His hands came back  up and somehow he'd  palmed a condom. Before she could chase that  thought further to a time  when she'd considered getting pregnant, Kyle  sheathed himself and pulled  her to him again.

Side by side, he nudged against the core of  her, entering, stretching,  her body oh-so-sensitive from such a long  stint of abstinence. Gasping,  she went boneless from the sheer pleasure  of the thick pressure. She  slid an arm over him, her fingers threading  through his close-shorn  hair.

He whispered in her ear, words of  encouragement, of how much he wanted  her, how she turned him inside out.  Each sexy sound stroked her  emotions as smoothly as he stroked her body  while they rocked against  each other.

She'd wanted him since  hearing that sexy voice of his for the first  time. It had been so damn  long since she'd even felt desire, much less  pursued it. The rippling,  sweet surge of sensations stormed through her  as she writhed against  him. She pressed her face against his neck,  grasping him with frenetic  hands, her nails scoring down his back.

Too soon, the storm  gathered in that tightening swell and as much as  she wanted to delay,  she lost control. She clasped him closer, harder.  Her teeth clamped into  his shoulder with the force of her completion  exploding through her. He  thrust harder, faster, drawing out her orgasm  until every nerve  tingled, damn near burned until he followed her over  the edge.

Slowly,  she realized her arms were locked around him, the vent chilling  the  light sheen of sweat slicking her body and his. He rolled to his  back,  hugging her to his side. His chest still pumped heavily and she  couldn't  have found the air to talk even if she knew what to say. She  wasn't  even sure what to think.

She was too busy being scared. Because  without question, she'd found so  much more than she'd expected to  experience here with him. Ever with  anyone. At an earlier, freer time in  her life, she might have taken a  chance on this man with potent kisses,  restless feet and a carefree  smile. A risky proposition, to say the  least.

With Nina's stability at stake, Phoebe feared she couldn't risk another night in his bed.

After  their jet landed and they gathered their luggage, Kyle opened the  car  door for Phoebe, enjoying the way the moonlight played with her  loose  hair. Hair loose and fluffed from lovemaking.

Before they'd even  had time to steady their breathing, the pilot had  called over the  loudspeaker, announcing they were preparing to land.  Phoebe had launched  from bed and shimmied into her dress again.

He'd known she had a  passionate nature beneath her cool exterior, but  he hadn't had a  freaking clue how much steam waited to be tapped. His  body surged with  the memory of how she'd fit against him, of how she'd  responded. Of how  damn hot she'd looked wearing nothing but diamonds  and a light sheen of  perspiration. His back bore the marks of her  pleasure.

And he looked forward to adding more as soon as they both recharged with a few hours' sleep.

He  slid into the driver's side of the Mercedes. "We'll be home soon.  I've  already arranged for someone to come by in the morning to watch  Nina so  you can sleep in."

She looked at him sharply. "Thank you, but I'd rather not. I've already spent enough time away from her."

He drove out of the small airport's parking area and onto the main highway. "I can see how that would be upsetting for Nina."

"It's  more than just not wanting her upset. She's had enough shuffling  in her  life as it is." Phoebe shoved her hair back from her face,  frustration  sparking in her eyes as clearly as the diamonds refracting  the dash  lights. "Don't look at me like I'm being overprotective."

Had he  done that? "Sorry." He reached across to tunnel a hand under her  hair  and massage the back of her neck. "I only wanted to make sure you  had  enough rest."

She tucked her tongue in the side of her mouth.  "I'm the one who should  apologize for snapping. You were just being  thoughtful." She sank back  into the seat, easing away from his hand.  "I'm so afraid of doing  something wrong with her. Before Nina came into  my life, I knew so  little about babies. As Bianca started depending on  me more and more  for babysitting, I did research to make sure I had all  the most current  information."

Good God, if she inched any  farther away from him she would fall  through the open car window. What  the hell was up? Suddenly her speed  in getting dressed and out of the  jet seemed like evasion rather than  efficiency.

He needed to keep  her talking and hopefully clear the furrows from her  brow before they  got home. Before they went to bed. "How did you and  Bianca end up  friends-and staying friends? You're both so different."

"We met  in a theater history class in college. Roger was a theater  major, too,  and I took the class to be with him." Streetlights whipped  past on the  nearly deserted road. "We met Bianca and we all hit it off.  She's more  the flamboyant type and I crewed backstage for a couple of  productions,  building sets, making costumes."
