Maizy the Bear Charmer(Diving Creek Ranch 16)(154)
Lucy nodded and tapped her watch to indicate time was wasting.
Maizy turned to look at all three of them as they enfolded her again and whispered, “I love you so much, my bears. I’m so happy you never gave up looking for me.”
Cody kissed her first, long and languid and powerful, as he towered over her, taking charge of the moment.
Heath was next, overwhelming her with the care in his touch as he held the back of her head, very careful of her fancy hairdo, and tilted her lips up for his kiss, making a happy rumbling sound in his chest.
Spencer took her hands in his and kissed the tops of both of them and then looped his arms around her middle and lifted her in his embrace and allowed her to kiss him. She sank her fingers into his short dark hair, rubbed the tip of her nose against his, and then laid her lips against his and kissed him until she saw stars.
After Spencer set her back on her feet, he said, “Thank you for following your heart and dancing that night, regardless of what anyone else thought. I’ve loved you ever since.”
Cody said, “Angel, we’d still be looking for you. Thank you for saying yes to that first date.”
Heath caressed her chin and she smiled up at him. Joy radiated from his green eyes. “We plan to spend the rest of our lives making you glad you said yes to the bears, sweet Maizy-locks.”
She giggled at the use of the new nickname, a variation of Goldilocks that they’d recently come up. “Life was okay before I met you, though sometimes a little hard. When we got together, there were times I thought it was too sweet to be true. But the reality of loving you, taking care of you, and being taken care of by you is juuuust right.”
