Loving Lies(44)

She grabs hold of a condom and I let her go to work. Within seconds I’m wrapped up tight but then a minute later I am deep into her heat.

“Greedy much in the morning?” I tease, letting her ride me how she likes.

She flashes me one of those breathtaking smiles of hers and I feel my heart trip over itself. I would be one hell of a happy man if I woke up with her every morning. I grasp her hips and all talking and teasing evaporates as we pick up our rhythm and get into the feel of each other. I buck up off the bed wanting to be even deeper inside of her. She sets the pace with long up and down movements and I’m watching the show which is truly magnificent. Her head is laid back as passion takes over. My fingers claim her nipples and I’m tweaking them hard but she’s loving it. Finally she sets down and starts to grind hard on me and I move a hand between our slickened bodies and find that pebbled clit of hers. One touch is all it takes, and watching Alyssa’s orgasm take-over is blissful. She almost collapses on me so I haul her tight.

She knows I haven’t made it over the edge so she eases back up and then somehow takes hold of my sheathed cock in one hand and braces her other arm on the bed. She rips off the condom and the hot feel of her palm on my cock makes me dizzy. Within seconds I’m the one screaming out her name as she fists her hand tight around my erection. She lets me come all over those beautiful breasts which just makes me want to do it again.

She carefully removes herself from me. This time I’m the one watching her pad naked to the bathroom. I hear the water turn on and let her enjoy a leisurely hot shower alone for a change. When she comes back she’ll be ready for round two which I know will surprise her.

Two hours later we’re finally ready to leave the cabin. We’re both sporting love wounds we’re mighty proud of and I know I’ve got a permanent grin on, but I don’t freaking care.

She lets me take her hand which surprises me. As we make our way up to the main resort I can see Kat and Amy walking down the road. As usual Kat’s wearing a business suit, but the look of pure delight on her face transforms her from serious to joyful.

I let Alyssa slip out of my hold. I get that’s she’s nervous. We might be a couple, but it’s kind of new and there’s no need to flaunt it to everyone, even though that’s exactly what I want to do.

“Alyssa you won’t believe what happened!”

“What?” Alyssa asks, but she sounds more nervous than excited.

Amy holds up the local newspaper from Deerfield and states, “You made the news and you have clients.”

Alyssa groans. I grab the newspaper and quickly scan it for any unfavorable mention of her but all I read is a glowing account of her photos. “You will want to read this. It’s really good.”

My reinforcement makes her smile. “Really?”

“Oh yeah,” says Amy, adding. “Shannon’s phone hasn’t stopped ringing. She’s actually shocked and we’re all very excited.”

“Why is her phone ringing off the hook?” asks Alyssa, still not putting together the pieces, but I’m one step ahead of her.

I lean into her and smile. “I’d say clients are calling to book you.”

“Not only clients but two galleries in Toronto want to showcase your work.”

With this news, Alyssa sags against me. “You are freaking kidding me.”

“And there’s more,” says Amy but she doesn’t look as happy with that announcement.

“What?” asks Alyssa.

“Your father wants to have breakfast with you.”

Alyssa grabs hold of my hand and this time I know it’s my strength keeping her upright.

“I’m not so sure about that,” she says.

“Well, he said he’d sit there all day until you joined him and I get the feeling he means it.”

“Can you give us a moment?” I ask Amy, needing to give Alyssa a much needed hug.

“Sure. You can keep the newspaper. When the McCaids saw that, they ordered a dozen more newspapers.” Amy laughs and walks away, smoothing down her slightly wind-blown hair as she makes her way to the resort shuttle to town.

I haul Alyssa in for a much needed hug and she sighs into the crook of my shoulder. “You don’t have to have breakfast with him.”

“I know. But I might as well get this over with.”

“I agree. Do you want me to come with you?”

She leans back and I give her nose a quick kiss. “No. I need to do this alone.”

I get that so we walk hand in hand to the restaurant. At the door, I haul her in for another long hug and then watch as Alyssa straightens her shoulders and with her head held up walks into the restaurant.
