“Maybe. But are you truly happy that we got pregnant so fast?”

“Hell, if I were a smarter man I would have been poking holes in the rubbers just to make sure you were stuck with me. I am beyond thrilled.” He kissed her abdomen. Then he cupped her face and kissed her.

She broke away from their embrace and settled into his hold on the bed and sighed.

“I wanted a Christmas wedding in San Diego.”

“So.”

“It’s July. I’ll be eight months pregnant. We can’t do that.”

“We can do whatever the fuck we want to do. You will be the most gorgeous bride imaginable. Everybody’s already planning to be in San Diego at Christmas for the wedding, they said so when they came to Piper’s graduation, so what if your gown just has to be a little fuller than you anticipated?”

She shifted so she could look at him.

“You’re from a small town, are you sure that there isn’t part of you that won’t feel uncomfortable about having a pregnant bride.”

“Honey, are you kidding? I’m going to be proud when you walk down the aisle to me.” His smile was breathtaking. “What about you? You’re from a small town in Alaska?”
