Sexin' My Man's Best Friend(14)

I still couldn't believe that Travis had also said Fuck Valerie when it  comes to his baby. I thought she had his heart. But now I see that the  baby growing in my belly had his heart even more. I just didn't know  what to do. I wanted to make Taylor happy by giving him another baby,  and ever since my talk with Travis, now I wanted to give him the baby he  seems to want too. What's a girl to do?

It was a nice day outside so I decided to just go for a ride. I really  didn't have a destination I just wanted to feel the breeze and let my  hair blow in the wind. Times like this, I wish my mom and dad lived in  the states. Once I turned eighteen and left the house, my parents packed  up and moved to Jamaica. They said since I was their only child and I  was smart and doing well for myself, they would travel the world. I  hadn't spoken with them in months and I missed them dearly. I knew if I  told my mom about the drama I was in, she would start talking to me like  I was a little girl telling me she never should've left me out here  alone. I seriously wasn't in the mood for one of those talks, so I would  not be contacting them about this situation.

I found myself parked outside of a baby store in Kenwood. Mommy 2 B was  the most legit baby store in all of Cincinnati. Everyone came to shop  here for their new arrivals. I knew I didn't know what I was having yet,  but I wanted to just look around. Tomorrow, I would be four months and  could soon find out what exactly I was carrying.

The store was like a warehouse. You could easily get lost your first  time inside, like I did when I was pregnant with Tayla. I actually knew I  was having a girl when I came for the first time. I secretly wanted  another girl. I just thought girls were more fun. When Tayla was a  little baby, I would dress her up in cute little tutu's. Her hair was  just the curliest it could be so I would put little cute pink bows and  ribbons in her hair. She was and still is my twin although most think  she's the spitting image of Taylor. To me, she favored us both.

I walked directly towards the girls section where there were just racks  of pink girly little clothes. If I was having another girl, I would have  to get all new things because I gave away all of Tayla's newborn  clothes to The Salvation Army. Being at the baby store actually made me  forget about the drama that was stirring up in my life. I just kept  telling myself no matter what happened, I loved my baby. I stayed at the  baby store for about an hour. I didn't know how I ended up on the  doorstep of Chantel's house, but I was there. When she opened to door  her eyes darted to my belly.

"Oh My God, Sundy! Look at the belly!" she squealed, cupping my stomach in her hands.

She invited me inside where I found her husband sitting in the great  room reading the newspaper. Her husband was such a square; I spoke  anyways. Despite being a square, he was a very good man and treated  Chantel's big mouth ass like gold. Chantel was my girl and all but for  the life of me, I couldn't understand how such a loud mess like her, had  snagged a wealthy good brotha like him. Word around town was that he  was cheating on her anyways with a classier woman who would never pop  off the way Chantel did but, I was happy for my friend. Chantel led me  into the kitchen where I could smell a pot of hot stew boiling. The  smell of well-seasoned beef and vegetables danced around my nostrils as  my belly began to growl. It was so loud that Chantel heard it and fell  out laughing.

"Bitch! Is that your stomach? Let me find out you're not feeding my  baby. I'ma mess you up!" she joked while pointing a finger at me.

I chuckled. Chantel was hilarious to me. That was the difference between  her and Cynthia. Cynthia was more serious than playful, although she  could take a joke or two. Cynthia and Chantel did not get along, that's  why I was never around the two of them at the same time. I knew if push  came to shove Cynthia would beat the crap out of Chantel.

Chantel was just skin and bones while Cynthia was thick. I've known them  both since forever and I valued both their friendship. One more than  the other of course. Chantel was a friend I would tell some things to  but not everything because she lives off gossip and spreading people's  business. Cynthia would never mouth anything to anyone, not even her  husband. If you told her a secret, your secret was kept. No if's and's  or but's about it.

"I'm starving! What's in the pot?" I asked, taking my seat.

"Some beef stew. You wanna stay for a bite? Déjà is on her way over here  to stay the night. You know my mom sick of her ass being under her roof  so I might take her in. That girl need to get it together because I'm  not her mom! My husband and I want our privacy!" Chantel started to  scoop me out some beef stew in a soup bowl.

I nodded my head. I felt where she was coming from. Although I was the  only child, I still had little cousins who wanted to stay with me when I  was in college living in New York City. I had a condo out in Manhattan  that my parents had rented for me. I told them I wasn't staying in any  filthy dorms with rats and roaches. My parents only wanted the best for  me, so my dad got me the one bedroom, two bathroom condo. I thought I  had it going on for real.

"I feel that," I finally said.

She sat the bowl down in front of me and I wasted no time smashing up  crackers and throwing them inside the bowl and began stuffing stew in my  mouth. I didn't know how hungry I was.

"Damn, bitch! Let me find out Taylor not feeding you over there in that big ass mansion!" she laughed.

I chuckled too. Just then Déjà walked into the kitchen. As soon as she  saw me she waved and gave me a hug. Déjà was so sweet and innocent  looking. She was in her twenties but looked no more than sixteen. She  damn sure wasn't innocent either. I knew I should've been feeling bad  right now because I knew how in love she was with Travis and here I was  pregnant by him.

I prayed that neither she nor Chantel found out that this baby was actually Travis'.

Once Déjà arrived I really didn't feel like being around any longer. I  finished my stew and told Chantel I was heading back home. I wasn't a  phony person so I couldn't sit around and laugh and joke with Déjà  knowing my current situation. When I got home, my phone instantly rang. I  was actually taken aback when I saw it was Travis. I pressed ‘answer'  immediately.

"Yes, Travis," I mouthed into the phone.

"Did you tell Taylor about my baby yet?" he asked.

I had to take my phone off of my ear and look at it to make sure it was  Travis. It really didn't sound like his normal calm cool self. He  sounded a little off-like he may've been a bit depressed.

I cleared my throat. "Ummm, no. You have to give me some time, Travis.  My marriage is on the line and so is yours. I'm just trying to figure  out what to do."

There was silence on the other end. I had to look at my screen to see if he was still on the phone.

"Well, you better get to it, Sundy. I want my child and I'm missing  everything! Doctor's appointments! You better get to it girl because I  meant what I told you at the restaurant."

I rolled my eyes. "Ok, Travis. While you're bugging me, did you tell little miss Becky about your child yet?"

He didn't even respond; he just hung up. I shook my head and headed on  inside. Had I not just chowed down on that stew, I would've been in the  kitchen grubbing on the enchilada pasta Marcia was making. I loved her  enchilada pasta salad.

She would mix together chicken with onions and celery and peppers. She  boiled the pasta giant shells and stuffed them with the chicken mixture.  She then would top it off with cheese and sour cream and crumpled  Doritos on top. It wasn't the healthiest but it was damn good. Although I  was pregnant, I was stuffed to capacity.

I made sure I walked into the kitchen to kiss Taylor and Tayla before I  made my way to my bath tub. It was always a stress reliever to dip your  body in a hot Jacuzzi style tub. It was like the hot water washed your  stress away.

I didn't even know I had fallen asleep inside the tub until I felt  Taylor nudge me. I was so sleepy he literally had to pick me up out of  the tub and dry me off. He lotion my body and slipped me on a lime green  teddy that he knew I loved. I felt so protected and loved being wrapped  in his arms when he carried me to our bed and tucked me under the  covers. He pecked my lips and slicked my hair behind my ear.

"I love you so much, Sundy. I love you and my babies," he touched my  stomach. "I don't know what I would do if something ever happened and  you weren't in my life anymore." He kissed me again.
