Kane's Mate (Armageddon Mates)(24)

Faith groaned as she looked into the mirror to see a sight that was the  hottest thing she had ever seen. Kane's eyes glowed bright blue, his  face had a feral pleasure look with his jaw set, his muscles flexing and  straining. His pace picked up faster and harder until she was white  knuckled gripping the vanity.

Kane growled. "Mine, you're mine, Faith. Always mine."

He leaned down, sucking on her neck. His eyes captured hers in the  mirror, and she slammed back against him and screamed her pleasure. She  could feel his dick growing impossibly bigger. He howled, clamping down  on her shoulder, his hips thrusting into her as he came. Her orgasm  still raking her body, she muttered, "Mmm, make-up sex rocks."

He chuckled against her shoulder. His face held a satisfied smile. He  picked her up, still locked inside her. "Where's the bedroom, princess?"

She groaned as she pointed in the direction. Each step he took was  pulling on the barb that locked him to her, making her pussy muscles  tighten. He opened the bathroom door and she squealed, "Remy and  Bengie..."

Kane chuckled. "I heard them leave out the front door as you were moaning my name twenty minutes ago."

She sighed as he laid them on the bed. Faith snuggled her back into his  chest. "I love you, Kane. I missed our bed, and I can't wait to get  home. I was going to come see you today. I love you so much, and I love  our baby. He's going to be so handsome, just like his father. I've been  practicing how to call and control my visions, and I've been doing  really well. We have a lot to prepare for, but with help I know we will  win."

Kane kissed her shoulder over the mate mark. "I have every confidence in you, princess, and us."

Epilogue

Kane's 35th Birthday

There was a good turnout. Twenty alphas from around the world either  stood or sat in the den. Rane also counted ten military representatives.  All were waiting for Faith and Kane to come in. It would seem the  demons were becoming a lot more aggressive, making themselves known not  just in Australia. They had all underestimated them. It was late  November, and Faith had been back now for a month and a half. Kane had  put a whole heap of blame for Faith's potentially fatal injury on Rane  and their father. The argument was his dad should have somehow pulled  more werewolves out of his arse and Rane should have watched Faith's  back, not left her with Major Samuel Black.

The tension in the family was high, and Kane was driving everyone nuts.  You would think a doctor wouldn't be so overprotective about his wife  being pregnant. Speaking of the devil, Faith walked in, looking radiant  in a black dress with red stilettos and matching purse with a ruby  pendant and earrings. Faith turned, smiled at Rane, and winked, kissing  his cheek, which made Kane growl. Everyone except Kane and Faith took a  seat. Faith stared at them all then came straight to the point.

"I have seen Armageddon."

It was the wrong thing to say. Everyone talked at once. Kane's growl to  "listen up" shut everyone up, especially when Faith added her whistle.

"As I was saying, I have seen Armageddon. Well, what I saw looked like  it, but, and this is a big but, it can be changed from the vision I  had." She looked at the military people. "The military had no idea how  to work with the werewolves or how to fight the demons. What they were  doing was actually giving the demons more power. The foot soldiers  didn't know how to deal with them either, so they were dying, becoming  slaves, food, or something equally unpleasant. Some were fighting, just  not the right way. So I say for starters we need to teach our military.  We need to work together, but I think the biggest help will be all the  supernaturals working together. A major thing, which should be our  number one focus, is finding the tunnels and cells of the supernatural  people the demons are holding." She looked at the wolves. "They have  lots of mates."

That got all the werewolves worried and angry as werewolves' true mates  were sacred, precious, and rare. Only half the pack, if they are lucky,  found them.

Faith smiled, seeming pleased with their reaction. "I have seen that in  the next couple of years, fate's going to step in and up the ante in  your favor." Faith grinned as everyone started talking again, but she  ignored them. Reaching up to pull Kane down, she kissed him and left.

Rane stared at the door where his sister-in-law had just left. Kane  called for quiet, then turned to Rane and asked how the training of his  six new military recruits was going. Rane nodded to Kane and took over,  telling everyone about the six men who had been sent to learn how to  help battle the demons.
