Winter’s Caress(Brac Village 19)(29)

Dasani rocked on his hands and knees, shoving his ass against Winter’s fingers, fucking them as Winter sucked at his mate’s balls. The sounds that filled the room had Winter slamming his fingers into Dasani’s ass.

“P–please,” Dasani begged.

Winter rose to his feet, lubed his cock, and then inched his way into Dasani’s tight ass. Winter placed his hands on Dasani’s hips as he began to thrust in and out, purring at how good his mate felt.

“I like that sound,” Dasani said as he bounced backward. “Make it again.”

Winter smoothed his hands up Dasani’s back and leaned over his mate, purring into Dasani’s pointed ear. He licked at the jewel at the tip, and Dasani arched his back, writhing under Winter. His chest rumbled with another purr as he drove his cock deep.

“Winter. Winter. Winter.”

Winter loved hearing his name on the man’s lips, loved the knowledge that he was driving his mate insane. He leaned back, gripped Dasani’s hips, and powered into the man.

“Holy damn!” Dasani shouted. “Fucking mother sweet kernels of popcorn hell!”

Winter’s rhythm faltered as he tried his best not to laugh. Dasani couldn’t curse to save his life, but he loved the fact that his mate was unhinged enough to try. Biting into his lower lip and smiling, Winter jetted into Dasani again.

“Winter, sweet damn, Jesus uncle!”

This time Winter did laugh. He rubbed his cheek over Dasani’s back and then kissed the elf’s nape. He nipped at Dasani’s shoulder when his mate shuddered.

“B–bite me,” Dasani begged.

Winter growled before he sank his canines into Dasani’s shoulder. His mate cried out as he came, his ass clamping down on Winter’s cock. Winter could barely move as he tried to thrust. He waited until Dasani’s tight hold loosened before he jetted into his mate. He was close. A few more thrusts and Winter was falling over the edge. He licked the wound and circled his arms around Dasani, kissing his mate’s sweaty back.

“I’ll have to dress this way more often,” Dasani said as he went limp in Winter’s arms.

Rakeym stood in the forest of the marshland and gazed down at such a tragedy that his heart broke. He knelt beside the prone body, feeling for a pulse.

“Is she…” Nazul—Rakeym’s most trusted sentinel—moved closer. “Is the female dead?”

Rakeym clenched his jaw as he gently closed the female’s eyes. This was a loss that shouldn’t have happened. He knew the rebellion was growing stronger, but he never thought it would touch such innocence. There was no other explanation. He rose to his feet and scanned the area but saw no one.

“She is,” Rakeym said.

“Whoever did this needs to pay for his crime. His life should be taken just as callously as hers was.” Nazul moved around Rakeym and gazed down at the female’s prone body. “I can have every house searched, have every person questioned.”

Rakeym shook his head. “No. I want whoever did this to think he has gotten away with the murder. I want him to grow comfortable. And once he lets his guard down, then, and only then, will we move in for the kill.”

“Dasani needs to be informed,” Nazul said, and Rakeym could see the sympathy in his friend’s eyes.

Shadow Sentinels weren’t known for their kind disposition. They had no soft side. Each one of them had grown up in a hellish home, had suffered through training, and had demons that rode them hard. Too see the softness in Nazul’s eyes touched Rakeym. It told him that his friend still had hope of one day finding a mate.

“She will receive a proper burial,” Rakeym said. “Go get Jahn and take her to the temple for preparation.”

Nazul bowed slightly and then shimmered away. Rakeym stood there wondering if there was any hope that his tribe would one day live in harmony. His struggle to bring them into a new era was turning bloody. How many more were going to die in order for peace to reign?

Dasani curled his legs under him as he sat in the chair at the kitchen table. Spencer and Kiki were there, making Dasani laugh so hard that his side hurt. “You did not steal your mate’s truck.”

“It was Johnny’s idea!” Spencer said as he laughed. “If you want to stay out of trouble, there are a few people you need to avoid.”

“Like Johnny?” Dasani said.

Kiki snorted. “And Cecil, Blair, Oliver, and, lately, Keata. He’s become even more mischievous than the others. I’m not sure what has gotten into the guy, but not even Cody can tame him lately.”

“They sound like fun,” Dasani said and thought about his friend Kevin as he sipped his hot apple cider.
