When You Know It’s Real(8)

By:KC Mills

When I entered my room, Jock’s eyes were on me and I frowned at him, which made him chuckle.

“Hold up, Siah.” Just that quick, Jock had flipped the switch and was grilling me hard as hell. “The fuck you frowning at me for, shorty?”

I ignored him and walked into my closet. I was glad it was just Siah on the phone, but I wasn't about to let him know that.

“Yo, I’m back. Kizzie gon’ fuck around and make me jack her ass up, walking around in here like she run shit.”

I stuck my head out my closet. “Nigga, I do run shit. This is my house, so you can get the fuck out.”

“Yo, Siah, I’m heading out in a minute. Let me deal with her crazy ass. I’ll meet you at your crib.”

I shook my head, knowing that Jock was about to come start some shit with me, and sure enough, I felt his presence behind me. His hand went around my neck and then to my chin, tilting my head back enough for his lips to connect to mine. His kisses were like poison. They took over and controlled my body, but I loved it.

“What's your problem this morning, Kiz? You always swear I’m up to something. I bet your hating ass thought I was on the phone with a bitch, didn't you?” Jock wore a grin as his hands moved under my towel.

“I don't care who you talk to, Jock. My man’s name is Red, not Jahari.” I used his government name just to annoy him.

“Man, call me that shit again and Imma fuck you up for that shit, Kizzie. And if Red is your man, then why the fuck were you screaming my name this morning, ma? Explain that shit, shorty.” Jock had a cocky ass grin on his face before he leaned down enough to suck on my neck, causing a reminder of our morning activities to sweep through my thoughts.

“Didn't you just tell Siah you were leaving, Jock?”

I pushed him away and tried to step around him, but he grabbed my waist and tugged my body until it was against his again.

“Why you stressing my moves, Kizzie? That nigga can wait, and he will. So don't play me like that.”

“Jock, gone. I have to get dressed so that I can meet Red. I’m already late.”

He laughed arrogantly. “Yeah, aight, go meet your fuck boy and try to keep a straight face while you still feeling the effects of my dick inside you.” Jock kissed me on the forehead and then walked out the closet.

I inhaled and grabbed a pair of jeans and a button up polo shirt. When I entered my room again, Jock had his back to me at my dresser putting his watch on. When he was done, he filled his pockets with his keys and phone before he lifted a thick fold of money and turned to face me.

“You good, baby girl? You need anything?”

“I don't need your money, Jock.”

“Kill the fucking attitude, Kiz. I know you do your thing and don't need shit from me, but I’m still gon’ offer and make sure you’re good. Now does your stubborn ass need anything?”

“I’m good, Jock, but thank you.”

I smiled at his hard ass always trying to check me, but then do soft ass shit when it came to looking out for me. We had a brief stare down before he pulled off a few bills, shoved them in his pocket, and then placed the rest on my dresser. He pressed his index finger on it briefly and then pointed at me.

“You keep a nigga’s pressure high as fuck, yo.” Jock walked to me but didn't pass by until he delivered one last kiss. “I'll hit you later. Tell your fuck boy I said what's up.”

I didn't even dignify his statement with a reply as he left my room. I finished dressing and then hit Red with a text to let him know I was on my way. I was meeting him for breakfast since he had been out of town for a few days to handle some business, which was part of the reason why I had been kicking it with Jock so strong. But I missed Red, and couldn't wait to see him. I knew it was foul, but all in all, I was torn between the two.

I pulled up at the restaurant and parked next to my baby’s whip. After checking myself in my mirror, I grabbed my purse and hopped out, excited to see my man. The second I entered I saw him in the booth looking like a muthafucking vanilla dream, and I couldn't hide my smile. Red was such a cutie. Red was my little light bright with vanilla skin and light brown eyes. He had sandy brown hair, which he wore in locks that hung around his shoulders, but right now they were loose and held in place with the polo hat he wore on his head.

When he looked up and saw me, he got on his feet and waiting for me with his arms open. I fell into him and he closed his arms around me. Damn, he smelled good, and it felt like heaven being in his arms again. I didn’t understand how I could be so gone over two men. Red and Jock were nothing alike, but I was in deep with both of them, and I hated it.
