Victoria’s Secret Wish(13)
He should go. Really. But Victoria’s feet were up on the wicker ottoman… So he sat. “Probably no more drinks.” Booze was bad for the bod, and he’d have to work extra hard to get back in shape after vacation anyway. “Thanks again for letting me use your phone.” And see your wife’s perfect feet. What was wrong with him?
“So your brother knows where you are?” Victoria asked.
“Yeah. I kinda used Daniel to get here. He got on the plane with me at Oklahoma City–where the flight board said we were headed to LAX. He was wearing one of my endorsement tracksuits, and I was in the ball cap and shorts. He got off at LAX, where the media thought he was me. I stayed on the plane for the connecting flight to San Diego. He said I’d owe him big-time and have to pay his way for the next cruise.” Even though he’d already scored two chicks and a free night in a Ferrari.
“You could travel together next time,” Carmyn said. “Tori gets all kinds of requests for twin action.”
“Hell, no. Not to be rude, but that’s just…” He shuddered while the others laughed.
“I can relate.” Brett leaned down to Victoria’s ear. “You think the twin thing would be weird, love?”
Mark said, “Victoria has an identical twin, as well.”
A twin just like her? That was kinda hot. His eyes met her emerald-green ones, and a shock ran through him all the way to his cock. He had to stop doing that. She was a married woman. An older married woman. Although, the age seemed to be sitting well enough on her…
“–loudmouth!” Carmyn squealed and pulled Mark’s leg hair. “That’s not something she bandies around!”
Victoria sighed and he met her eyes again. “I’m not too worried about what David finds out. We’re all comfy and confidential around here, right? We’ve all got secrets, and we’ll all respect each other’s secrets.”
Mark chuckled. “Ms. Confidentiality, what secrets do you and Brett have? Pretty much the entire world knows you’re here right now.”
“No secrets.” Brett chuckled. “That’s just part of Vic’s psychobabble tactics she uses to get clients to open up.”
“Bullshit. Tori has secrets too.” Carmyn’s hand had disappeared up the leg of Mark’s shorts. “She’s just best at hiding them. That’s how she remains such an enigma to the public.”
“No.” Victoria sat up straight and shook her head. “I do that by living on a mountain with no public access.”
“Ha!” Carmyn rolled her eyes, while Mark jumped and grabbed her hand. “You’re the only person I know who can be Googled, and only the stuff you want comes up. I think maybe you own the search engines.”
“Why the hell are you Googling me? And don’t even say it’s because I don’t call enough. You know I’ve been busy as hell getting this ship up and running.”
Carmyn stuck her tongue out and put her other hand up Mark’s pant leg.
David squirmed. Should he fess up? “I Googled you. Today in the cyber-cafe, after I saw you when I was boarding.”
Britt laughed. “Yeah? What did you unearth? Do tell.”
Victoria’s mouth hung open.
So she thought she was the only one who could go around digging up the 4-1-1 about people she hadn’t met yet? He’d show her different. “Someone made a connection between you, and a woman who married a doctor in LA. A doctor who was friends with you two.” He pointed toward Mark and Carmyn. “There’s a photo of you all at his graveside, on Wikipedia.”
“And that’s it?” Brett asked, head cocked to the side.
“I got a link to you,” David answered. “And found out you were an attorney who’d worked at Fantasy Mountain since it opened, but you’d just managed to ‘capture Victoria’s heart,’ according to the article.”
“See?” Carmyn’s voice raised. “Only the stuff she wants!”
“Well.” He couldn’t believe he was telling them this, but, “There was a sex video.” All eyes were on him. “But the woman in it doesn’t look much like Victoria. And she was pretty heavy into bondage and tatts.”
“Was it any good?” Brett asked. When Victoria gasped, he said, “So I can decide whether to send them a cease and desist order!”
They might as well know. “It was filmed in hi-def. But the acting and story were pretty poor.”
“You watched it?” Victoria gasped again, but he wouldn’t meet her gaze.
“It’s not like my mom would find out.” He shrugged. Probably shouldn’t have admitted he’d watched it. “Hey, if it’s on the net, it’s fair game, right?”
