Her Guardian Angel (Fire and Snow)(41)

By:Khloe Wren

"We really need to get inside, mon amour. The neighbors do not need us to provide their entertainment for the evening."

Adele shivered when Dominic suddenly moved back from her. With him gone, she felt instantly cold, empty. It was crazy. He was standing just in front of her. She looked up to see him scrutinize the street, like he was checking to see if they had in fact given any neighbors a show. Then he gazed down into her face with such heat, she melted against the car.

"Keys, beautiful," he hoarsely whispered.

On autopilot she reached into her handbag and grabbed her house keys. So far under Dominic's spell, she didn't realize she had dropped them into his waiting palm until the sound of his deep chuckle tickled her ear drums. Mesmerized, Adele didn't react as he put his shoulder against her tummy. A small squeak of surprise escaped as he lifted her in a fireman's hold.

"What on earth are you doing Dominic? I can walk, you know." She so hoped none of her neighbors were watching; she felt slightly foolish.

"I'm carrying you inside, beautiful, because I'm not so sure of your ability to walk--and I can't wait much longer to have you. This way is quicker."

Okay. He had a point about the walking thing. The fresh wave of heat between her thighs attested to exactly how much she liked Dominic's caveman antics. His grip on her thigh tightened as she heard a squeak of a door opening. She clenched her abs against his muscular shoulder as he strode into the house. Her breath hitched as he lowered her feet to the floor. She felt cold as he left her to close and lock the door. Missing his warmth, she pounced on him before he could turn back toward her, molding her curves against him. She felt a zing of satisfaction race through her as he groaned. Unsure of how to continue, she began to dot light kisses over his upper back. The cool cotton grazed against her lips, easing her nervousness.

She wanted Dominic like she'd never wanted anything before. She couldn't stop thinking about him. Day and night, thoughts of this man consumed her mind and body. She wasn't worried about not knowing what to do next, she was pretty sure Dominic was too dominant a male to allow her to take the lead--especially this first time.

Sure enough, moments later, she found herself with her back pressed against the front door. Dominic ground his hips into hers. With a will of their own, her legs parted to make more room for him. As his mouth nipped and nibbled its way over her neck and up her jaw to her ear, he ran his hands down her sides, over her hips and down her thighs. He cupped her bottom and lifted her.

"Wrap your legs around me, beautiful."

His voice was so hoarse. His hands remained on her as she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. She couldn't stop the gasp as her hot core settled on the hard ridge of the erection through his jeans. The thin cotton of her cargos and thin satin and lace of her g-string provided little barrier from the roughness of the denim against her.

Dominic’s voice was so hoarse. His hands remained on her as she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. Adele couldn't stop the gasp as her hot core settled on the hard ridge of the erection through his jeans. The thin cotton of her cargos and thin satin and lace of her G-string provided little barrier from the roughness of the denim against her.

Dominic lifted her away from the door and hissed in her ear as he inadvertently rubbed against her. Smiling, she nuzzled her face into his neck, breathing his scent deep into her. The fact he was so on edge, that his muscles pulled taut around her, warmed her heart and soul. Without ceasing her attack on his skin with kisses and nips on his neck and shoulders, Adele chuckled as he all but ran to her room. Stopping short at the end of her bed and releasing her, Dominic allowed her to slide down and put her feet back on the floor.

As soon as her feet landed, she remembered the candles she'd planned on lighting and began to back away.

"Where do you think you're going, beautiful?" He growled playfully at her.

"I won't be a minute, just wanted to light some candles so we can turn the light off."

With a wink, she headed for her bedside cupboard, lit the candles quickly then headed over to turn off the light. Warmth flowed through her as Dominic viewed her room with desire and approval. Adele had gone to a lot of effort for tonight. Her room was spotless, the sheets clean and fresh, made up with hospital precision--some training just stuck, she couldn't help it. His eyebrow rose slightly when he glanced at the bed. The butterflies in her stomach took flight at the thought of Dominic’s reaction to her other surprises.

A quick replay of her afternoon flashed through her mind. Shopping on her way home to splash out on some sexy lingerie. Adele’s feet shifted nervously and her G-string pulled tight against her flesh. Yeah, she was rocking a lovely little baby blue satin and lace ensemble beneath her cream cargo pants and baby pink fitted shirt tonight. There had also been a visit to a salon, where her usual eyebrow and leg wax was done before working up the nerve to be big and brave and have other places waxed. Boy, that had hurt like a bitch. Smiling to herself, Adele wondered what Dominic's reaction would be to that particular surprise.
