Twice Driven(141)
I laughed, and then a thought hit me. “Anna, let me call you right back."
"Everything okay back on the home-front?" Tyler gave me a look over the jewelry display case we were hovering over. I bit my lip and looked at him, watching him slowly grin as he recognized my mischief look. "Ok, spill it."
"I-" I came around and hugged his arm. “Look, would it be weird to invite Anna out to dinner tonight? I know, you and I don't have that much time together, and it’s weird with her being from home too. But she's my best friend, and she’s got a lot of crap family stuff going on. I just thought it might be nice to make her feel loved instead of having her sit around moping in the room all night.”
Tyler nodded and then grinned at me slowly, his look apprehensive. "It's not going to to be- I don't know, I mean she's not weird about the other weekend-”
I giggled and hid my blushing cheeks in his chest. "No, not at all. Nothing phases that girl, and besides, we hashed it out.”
He chuckled as he wrapped an arm around me and gave me a squeeze.
"Just, try not to think about the fact that you’ve seen her naked, okay?” I gave him a look and poked him in the chest, watching as he grinned widely at me.
“Baby, I’m sure I’ve got enough right here to take my mind off of it,” he said with a sly grin as he pulled me into a kiss.
Anna ended up making way more of a fuss about coming out to dinner with us than Tyler had, and eventually it took me putting him on the phone to convince her to come.
"No, Anna, you're not playing third wheel. We both want you to come out."
He grinned at me as he nodded at something she was saying over my phone to him. "No, no. She's not twisting my arm at all. I'd love to see you. It’ll be a home-town reunion .”
Another silence and a grin. "You know how she gets, it'd tear her up all night if she thought you were just sitting alone in the dorms watching T.V. and feeling sad. Honestly, I want you to come out with us; my treat.”
Anna said something else on the phone, and I saw Tyler’s cheeks suddenly flush red. "No, I can promise you it won't be weird at all because of last time.”
I found myself blushing as well.
Tyler wanted to take us both out someplace nice, which meant I was going to need to go back to the dorm to change.
"We really can just meet you out, you know. You really don't need to come to our cramped dorm room if you don't want to." I made a pleading face at him, secretly thinking about how freaking messy the room Anna and I shared was. I hadn’t expected to have him come by the dorms this trip, and the place was a disaster.
He grinned at me, his eyes twinkling. "Afraid I'm going to see how messy you really are, baby?”
I blushed. “No, I just-”
"Ahh, don't want all those young guys to see you with your old boyfriend?" He laughed as I groaned and pushed my face into his strong chest. "I just want to see where you sleep when I'm not around, you know. I’ve never actually seen it in the daylight.”
I stuck my tongue out at him; "Ok fiiiine, but no judging. It's not all my mess you know."
“You know, it's not that bad,” Tyler was standing in my doorway, finally seeing my dorm room in daylight for the first time. "I mean, I think I can actually see a piece of the carpet over there in the corner.”
I rolled my eyes and punched him in the arm as he cracked up before pulling me into a hug and kissing my neck.
I felt my pulse jump as his lips found that magic spot right above my collarbone, and I moaned quietly.
"You know, you make those incredibly sexy noises like that and a guy has a real hard time not pulling you into this room and fucking you right here on the floor,” he growled into my ear. I felt my breath catch as he pulled me tightly to him, letting me feel the thick bulge in his pants against my ass.
I whirled around to kiss him hungrily, tasting his lips with my tongue and feeling him growl into my mouth before I pulled away. "How fast can we b-”
I was cut off when the door swung open as Anna bounced in. She stuttered to a halt, seeing us wrapped in each other arms and going a little red in the face. “Oh, shit! Uh, hey guys!” She looked at me guiltily. “Sorry, I- I can come back lat-”
Tyler smiled at her and pulled away from me with a little squeeze. “Nope, I'm the one intruding on your room here.”
“No, I'm just- well, I'm just not exactly used to assuming Christina has a guy in the room when the door’s closed." Anna stuck her tongue out at me as I gave her a look, while Tyler just chuckled.
