The ride home does nothing to calm me. Not even when Dev rubs his hand soothingly over mine at a stop light. I just feel so fucking stupid. I should have never trusted him. Never given in to a biker, period. Professional or otherwise. You can take the man off the street, but you can never take the street out of the man.

“Fuck,” I mutter as I jump off Dev’s backseat once he’s parked in my driveway. I see a ten-mile run in my future to burn off the memory of Reese fucking Dane.

“Hey.” Dev grabs my arm as try to stomp off.

“What?” I tear my helmet off.

“You made him look like an asshole back there.”

“What?” I nearly implode. “He’s the one who made me look like an asshole. I’m not some bike bunny he can just pass around!” I try to escape his grasp, but he locks on tighter. “Dev, let me go.”

“No, not until you calm down.”

“I’m not going to calm down! I’m pissed off and I want to be alone.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m worried you might be a threat to yourself or others.”

“What?” I tilt my head. “Are you being fucking serious right now? You’re psychoanalyzing me?”

“In my professional capacity, yes.”

“You’re as crazy as your brother.”

“We do share the same DNA.”

“Warped DNA.”

“Meh.” He shrugs. “Whose isn’t?”

He’s got me there.

“We do definitely like the same things.” He pulls me closer. Oh no.

“I’ve noticed.” I step back but don’t get very far. “What are you doing?”

“Going after what I want.”

“No. You’re not.” I put my hands on his chest, my heartbeat elevating.

“Don’t fight me, Kayla.”

“I’m done with both of you,” I spit.

“No, you’re not. You’re just beginning.” He leans in, and I freeze.

“Dev, this isn’t right. I don’t want to ping-pong between the two of you.”

“You don’t have to.” He’s so close; I can feel his breath fan across my cheek.

“How can I not?” I swallow the thick ball of emotion caught in my throat.

“Kiss me and find out.”

“No.”

“Yes.”

“I hate him.” I vent.

“I know you do. But I’m here now.”

There are no words after that, just an explosive mingling of tongues and a cocktail of confusion.

I’m so weak. Five minutes ago, I was fuming. Now, I’m crumbling into Dev’s arms.

I don’t know how long we kiss—minutes, hours, days possibly. The only thing I’m sure of is that I never want him to pull away. As much as I’m damning myself, the allure of burning in hell has never been so rapturous.

The thunderous sound of a street bike careening into the driveway rips us apart.

Hell has no fury like a racer scorned, I guess, because Reese is furious. His eyes are an incinerating blue as he approaches us.

“What the fuck?” he snarls, as I push away from Dev. This is the most fucked-up situation ever. I’m still mad at Reese for what he did, yet I feel tremendous guilt for making out with his brother a fraction of a second later. I need to be institutionalized.

“Don’t.” I step away from both of them, making an escape toward my front door.

“You don’t,” Reese sneers as they both follow me. I try to slam the door in their faces, but Reese strong-arms his way in.

“Get out,” I hiss.

“Not gonna happen.” Reese contends as the two men overtake my tiny entryway. The small space now crammed with bodies. “You’re overreacting.”

“I’m not overreacting! You can’t just pass me around to all your biker buddies and think it’s okay! I’m not a fucking wrist watch you can just throw into the pot!”

“Kayla, do you honestly think I would’ve put you up if I knew I couldn’t win? That I would let anyone else touch what belongs to us?” Reese crowds me into a corner.

“Us?” I squeak. Wait, what?

“Yes. Us. Mine and Dev’s.” He enunciates the words. “You. Are. Ours.”

There’s that word again. Ours.

“I don’t understand.”

“Baby, I think you do. I think you’ve always known where we would end up.” Reese cages me in with his arms.

Dev materializes over Reese’s shoulder, and I internally hyperventilate. I don’t know who to look at first as my gaze compulsively darts between the two of them. Two, beautiful, roughneck men, who both look like they want to have me for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

“How . . . how would this even work?” I crazily entertain the idea.

Both their faces split with a fiendish smile. I must have asked the million-dollar question.

Reese leans in closely, stopping my heart. “Let us show you,” he murmurs so seductively my knees nearly buckle. I throw a questioning eye at Dev and he nods confidently.

“You both want this?” I ask with a small voice.

“It isn’t about what we want anymore. It’s all about you now,” Dev voices.

Holy. Fuck.

“Say yes, Kayla.” Dev’s tone is soft and velvety. Irresistible. “Say yes to us.”

I press my back against the wall praying for composure, but the longer they trap me, the more the pressure builds, the more my want fights to the surface, and my resolve falls away into oblivion. I find myself nodding because my ability to speak has become paralyzed.

“Good girl,” Reese breathes before he throws me over his shoulder like a caveman.

“Hey!” I grab onto his shirt.

He swats me on the butt as he makes his way to the stairs. “Ouch!” I flail.

“That’s for bouncing out on me. Never do it again. Got it?” He hits me once more for good measure.

“Fuck you.” I flinch.

“In due time, baby.”

I lift my head as Reese climbs the stairs with Dev hot on his heels.

Reality suddenly strikes. Is this really happening?

“Relax.” Dev traps my chin gently. “We’re going to take care of you. And make you feel so good.” He pushes some dangling hair away from my face so I can see him. He’s incredibly calm despite the carnal look in his eyes.

Once in my small room, Reese drops me on the bed. They each flank one side, making me feel like a trapped animal.

I kneel in the middle of the mattress at a loss at what to do next.

“Strip, baby,” Reese instructs as he unzips his leather jacket and pulls the gun from the back of his pants, placing it on my nightstand.

I stay frozen in place.

I know I’m supposed to move, but what’s clearly about to happen hasn’t sunk in yet.

“Need some assistance?” Dev crawls up behind me and kisses my neck. A switch flips. My eyes immediately roll backward. Yes, please, touch me. Both of you, please touch me.

Dev makes easy work of my shoes and socks then moves straight to my jacket, peeling it off before greedily lifting the hem of my shirt, taking my bra with it. I’m left kneeling in only my ripped jeans and bare chest as I watch Reese slowly remove his own shirt. There’s an abundance of moonlight illuminating the room, the silvery rays brightening the space enough to make out the shadows of bodies and facial features.

I falter as he approaches. His inked body moving sleekly and smoothly. His eyes blinking in a slow, languid way, mesmerizing me like a cat.

“Damn.” Dev runs his fingers over my back, outlining the butterfly tattoo that stretches across my shoulder blades. “Badass, Kayla.” He presses a fingertip into a few specific spots on the wings. “Are those supposed to be bullet holes?”

“Yes.” I cover my naked breasts insecurely. Reese pulls my arm away.

“Don’t. Ever.”

I start breathing fast and deep, my unease evident.

“Who hurt you, Kayla?” Dev asks softly.

I laugh distantly.

“Who says anyone hurt me? Maybe I’m the one who hurt someone.”

“Impossible.” Dev skims his lips down the curve of my shoulder. “You heal. You don’t hurt.”

I bottle up the feelings suddenly raging inside. I haven’t always been this person, and it seems my decisions haven’t matured much with age, since I’m on the precipice of sleeping with two men.

“I walk a fine line.” I look back at Dev.

He tilts my face up. “Tonight, there are no lines.” He kisses me deeply, desirously, our tongues rolling against each other gluttonously before he urges me down onto my back. This is really happening. Really. Fucking. Happening.

“Relax.” Dev pins my arms over my head as Reese unbuttons my fly, my pants and panties disappearing.

I breathe faster as Reese spreads my legs and kisses his way up my inner thighs. I’m aching already, and he hasn’t even reached my most sensitive spot. The closer he gets, the more unhinged I become. The first touch of his tongue is soft. Just a savory taste. He moans with prolonged appreciation before burying his face fully into my displayed pussy.

“Oh God!” I arch vainly on the mattress as they both hold me down.

“Does Reese’s mouth feel good?” Dev speaks softly into my ear.

“Yes,” I moan as Reese licks me emphatically.

“I know how good your pussy tastes.” He nips at my earlobe as I squirm on the bed. “I know how much Reese loves eating you out.”
