Town of Chance_ Believing in Love(52)

She placed her arm over her eyes and lay back on the bed as Parker licked her nipple and played with her belly ring.

“I can’t move.”

He chuckled.

“You need to move. You have to eat,” he told her.

“Later, or how about by I.V.?” she asked and they laughed.

Burker lay down on her other side and kissed the arm that was over her eyes.

“We’ll lay here and rest for a little while but then we eat. You need your strength,” he said to her.

She uncovered her eyes and looked at him.

“For what?”

“Round two,” Tazer said, crawling up between her legs and kissing the top of her mound.

“Oh God,” she moaned and they chuckled, but really she was aroused and ready to do it all again. She was in love and even exhausted she would want them over and over again. This was perfect.

Chapter 8

“I think the guy was lying. Something was going on in there,” Special Investigator Finn Connelly told Tazer as they met up at the police department.

“It wasn’t on the list of bars and locations we found in the logs Rodney had. We can look into it and find out more about the owner,” Tazer told him.

“Ran him through the system already and he’s clean. No violations or even anything minor, he just seemed a little shady and nervous when we asked him questions. The place is pretty rowdy though. Has a top notch reputation for fun and brawls with college kids,” he added.

“I heard about Luther’s before. It can be a bit rough there but the entertainment is what draws the crowds in too. Maybe we should check it out and see?” Tazer said.

“I would. Salvatore and I will go with you.”

“Okay, plan on it. We figure out when. In the interim I’ll have Parker and Burker look into the place and into the owner. I’ll call you later.”

Tazer looked at Lynch and told him what was going on.

“So you think it may be like Clover’s in Tennessee?” he asked.

“Could be, and only a few towns from here which pisses me off.”

“When do you think you want to go check it out?”

“Friday night. Eliza Grace is working late, she said, so if she gets off early Burker and Parker can keep her occupied until we get home,” he said and winked at Burker and then Parker. They smiled.

“She has to be in the mall early Saturday for the runway show,” Parker reminded them.

“We’re going to that,” Lynch added.

Tazer smiled. “I hope we can handle it. That place is big and they’ll be a lot of people around. We won’t be able to see her or talk to her, only watch her from afar,” Tazer said.

“And admire what belongs to us and no one else, brother. Remember that,” Burker said to him and Tazer nodded.

“Damn, I want to wrap up this case and spend all our time focusing on Eliza Grace. That way she’ll feel more comfortable about moving in here with us sooner than later,” he added.

“Hell yeah. I’m all for that. So who are we digging shit up on now?” Burker asked and Tazer smiled. They were getting close to finding the man who ran the prostitution ring. He felt it and something told him this place Luther’s was going to break the case wide open. It was just a feeling or possibly a hope, so he could wrap things up and focus solely on Eliza Grace, the woman they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with.

“I cannot believe that you said you would do one more show. What about the guys? What will they do when they find out?” Missy Ann asked her.

“I don’t know. I want to tell them but then I’m afraid to. It’s only one performance and I’ll be out of there by ten, tops.”

“But what about that guy Si? I thought you said he seemed like he was following you to these shoots this week. Plus it was his yacht that you were on Monday.”

“I know,” she said and thought about it. “Why don’t you come with me? You can even stand back stage off by the bar and then we can head out together.”

“Seriously? Wow, you want me to keep this secret with you? Man, I don’t know. I don’t really like bars and clubs like that.”

“I don’t either but it’s one time and on Friday night. Please, come with me so I won’t even have to talk to Si and the other guys.”

“Okay. I’ll do it.”

“Awesome. Thank you so much, Missy Ann.”

“What are best friends for?” she asked and then Eliza Grace had to answer the phone. Clarissa was calling.

She spoke to her about Edwin Divanni. He wanted her to be the main model in the lingerie show and wanted her to stop by his shop after the runway show Saturday. Clarissa would be there too. She agreed and then hung up the phone.
