Town of Chance_ Believing in Love(13)
“Why? You gonna go stalk the woman, Freddie?” Johnny asked. They laughed.
“Hey, I may just be driving by in my convertible mustang and if she has a love for classic cars then I can offer her a ride,” he said and they started carrying on about what kind of ride they would give her.
“What’s wrong?” Tazer asked Lynch as he saw his angry expression.
“Shut the fuck up. And if any of you ever go near her, I’ll fucking kill you,” he yelled at them and everyone got silent.
Finn looked at the picture too. “Eliza Grace? Whoa,” he said, knowing who Eliza was and that Tazer and Lynch were her guardians. As Tazer absorbed Eliza’s picture he heard Finn telling everyone to get back to work and to leave the calendars.
Tazer absorbed Eliza’s pose, the short, tight dress she wore and how sexy she looked leaning against the white car. Her thighs were exposed, the skirt nearly to her crotch. What the fuck was she thinking? Holy shit, she looked incredible.
“What the fuck, Tazer. Did you know about this? Did Parker?” Lynch asked.
“Hey, it’s a great picture of her. She’s a beautiful young woman. Don’t worry about the guys. They were just being dicks. It’s not too sexy of a pose,” Finn said to them. Tazer gave him a snarl.
“Did you see the cover?” Salvatore asked as he looked at his own copy of the calendar.
There was a picture of Eliza Grace wearing a see-through beach cover up that shimmered in the sunlight, her breasts peeking out from the beige, golden top and the Marlin Bay Marina with the yachts and other boats to the side of her. She looked so damn sexy and classy, he couldn’t speak.
“Damn, she is gorgeous,” Finn said to them.
“Look at the cover,” Connolly told them as he looked at his own calendar, smiling.
Tazer and Lynch flipped to the cover and Tazer felt his blood pressure boiling. There she was in the center of the photograph with the other models all wearing bikinis, but Eliza’s was hot pink and stood out, as much as her very large breasts, her flat belly with the belly ring and the seductive way she smiled at the camera.
“Holy shit. What four lucky bastards you are,” Finn said as he looked at the picture too.
Tazer was pissed off.
“Let’s go. We’ll touch base with you guys later. Let us know if you need us for anything else,” he said to them and shook Finn’s hand and then Salvatore’s. “Hey, take it easy on her. She isn’t your woman yet and you won’t want to piss her off.”
“Like you would stand for your woman posing in calendars and worrying about other men fantasizing about her? Let them be,” Finn said to Salvatore and Tazer and Lynch headed out of the police department. Before Tazer even started the engine to the Charger, Lynch was on the phone with Parker.
“Well, if you didn’t know anything about it then I suggest you guys take a look at the fucking calendar.”
“So she models, Lynch. We knew that about her.”
“Parker, just look up the fucking calendar, the cover and the months of September and August.”
Tazer sped off, gripping the steering wheel and envisioning Eliza doing the photo shoot as some guys watched and maybe even the photographer told her to lift her dress higher. “Fuck,” he mumbled, grinding his teeth.
“Holy shit. She looks incredible,” Tazer heard Lynch say.
“This is not good. Do you know how many men have seen this? There are cops looking to find out where she lives and want to meet her. What about scumbags and losers who might harass her?” Lynch stated and Tazer was getting angrier and angrier.
“Does he know where she is right now?” Tazer asked.
“It’s Saturday and nearly five o’clock. I’d say she’s getting ready to have dinner with her dad and then meet her friends at Spencer’s.”
“Then plan on going there tonight too,” Lynch said and disconnected the call.
Lynch looked back at the calendar.
“Do you have any idea how many people will see that thing?” Tazer asked him. He was feeling so jealous, angry and protective of her.
“I don’t want to think about it,” Lynch replied quietly. His brother was the most intense of all of them. The most quiet, the hardest to get to open up. Tazer wasn’t any better. In fact, it was him and Lynch that held back from pushing Eliza Grace to let them be her guardians. She was so much younger than them. Their experiences in life, the dangers they involved themselves with on a regular basis still would get in the way. She deserved better, but the thought of another man other than him and his brothers having her just didn’t sit right and made him sick and angry.
