The Warrior's Pet(29)

By:Stephanie West

"What have I done!" Kagan's mind reeled at the implication of placing the conjugo mark on Giselle. That was how he scented her so easily! How was it even possible to form the bond with a foreign female?

As Kagan looked down Giselle's body cataloging the things he'd done to her, he came to the junction of her thighs. There smeared on the inside of her thigh was blood.

Kagan took a stumbling step back, the realization of all he'd done to little Giselle like a knife twisting in his gut.

Giselle

Kagan looked at Giselle like she'd grown two heads.

"I'm heading out to scout ahead." Kagan mumbled as he turned and abruptly left.

Giselle looked at the warriors standing several yards away. They had stopped what they were doing to stare at her in shock and pity. Something draped across her shoulders and she turned to see Dagaa wrapping a blanket around her with a shake of his head.

"What the hell?" Giselle wondered then she looked down at herself as she pulled the edges of the blanket closed. "No wonder." She looked like she'd been ridden hard. Giselle then saw her blood.

"Aw crap!" She exclaimed out loud.

Kagan and his overgrown cock had kick started her period. Great. No wonder the men stared at her. She highly doubted they had anything for a girl on her period.

"Stop staring!" Giselle said to the gawking men. They jumped a bit looking even more shocked that she snapped at them before going about their business.

"I will have one of the Toufik bring something for your injury." Dagaa glanced towards her crotch.

"I'm not injured. Don't your woman have a cycle?" The male looked confused. "A fertile period?" Giselle prodded and Dagaa nodded. "Well that's what's wrong with me. My people bleed."

Dagaa looked shocked and so did several other warriors who'd overheard as they packed up the tents.

"Are you sure? Many of us saw and heard." Dagaa continued.

Giselle rolled her eyes at him.

"Dagaa some girls like it rough." She said with a lowered voice so Sabin couldn't hear.

Dagaa choked his mouth agape.

Giselle giggled and wandered off to use the necessary and try to clean up before the caravan headed out.

Giselle found herself in a cargo transport with Sabin. There was no sign of Kagan all morning and now it was mid-day meal which consisted of a snack while they rode along at a fast pace. Although Kagan hadn't checked on her, numerous warriors approached with concerned looks asking if she needed anything or offering her and Sabin water or food. It was frustrating. Every man but the one that should be concerned had checked on her.

Giselle didn't even know why she was chomping at the bit to see Kagan. Just because the sex was great it didn't make up for the Cadi's distorted views. Then again...it was great sex.

"I am fine. Thank you" Giselle tried to not sound annoyed and smiled graciously at the warrior holding out a canteen of water.

"I get to take care of the manx tonight." Sabin said excitedly as he admired the passing beasts.

"And you will do a great job. So tell me what does a manx require." Giselle gave the boy a broad smile as she adjusted the overgrown cloak she'd been given. Despite Kagan's inattentiveness the child's zeal was infectious.

"You have to water and give them their meat. But watch out!" Sabin said seriously. "They are so hungry from travelling all day you have to drop their food fast and stay clear of their teeth."

"That would be a shame if they were to gobble you up." Giselle raised her arms up and loomed over Sabin baring her teeth and making a scary face. "I bet you are tasty." She teased as she moved in and tickled the boy.

"I am not manx food or Giselle food." Sabin squealed as he writhed beneath her tickling hands.

"Give up warrior I have defeated you fair and square." Giselle laughed.

Numerous warriors looked at them and Giselle wondered if she and Sabin were being too loud. Some of the men smiled, their tails flicking in amusement, so Giselle figured she and Sabin weren't being too rowdy.

Not that long ago the sight of the Cadi's long canines bared would have frightened her. Giselle had even learned that the Cadi's tails were like a barometer for their emotions, much like a cat. Unless they controlled it, the long prehensile appendage would flick back and forth according to their mood. That was perhaps the oddest thing to reconcile about these people. She wasn't judging, somewhere in human evolution her ancestors had tails too.

Sabin's little tail curled at the end which seemed to be a trait only children possessed. It swished happily as they chatted then stopped.

"Do you think I will get to stay with you?" The boy asked looking hopeful.

"I do not know." Giselle replied. She didn't want to promise something she had no control of. "I'm sure Daimio Kagan is very busy with all the warriors." Giselle gestured to the caravan of men. "I don't even know what he will do with me. I'm sure he can't bring me to war." It rankled thinking about what was going to be done with her, like a dog that needed to be kenneled.
