The Doctor and I(12)

By:Ava May

“So Dr. Shaffer called me into his office to tell me that the other nurses were complaining about me,” I started.

“Oh my god, those bitches. Really, what is their problem with you?” Valarie was just as upset as I was.

“I told Dr. Shaffer that they were acting like juveniles and he laughed. But then he told me that he wanted to help me with a great reference and that he would help me to find a job after I finished school,” I told her, excited.

“Really?” she exclaimed. “That is amazing. I guess those bitches won’t like that, will they?”

“But there was something weird,” I continued. “He told me that he could help me but that I needed to help him as well. When I asked him what he meant he said to think about it overnight and give him a call in the morning. That we could meet at his house.”

I thought Valarie’s eyes were going to pop out of her head and her mouth almost hit the floor. Our waitress walked up with our food and we were silent as she refilled our drinks.

“Girl, do you have any idea what he is talking about?” she said.

“I told you, I don’t know. What could I do that would help him?” I asked her.

Valarie almost choked on her soda. “You really are naïve, aren’t you?” she asked me, “He wants you to sleep with him!”

I laughed at her. “You are wrong.” I could not stop laughing. How could she think that a man like Dr. Shaffer would want to sleep with someone like me? The thought of it sent chills down my spine and I could feel wetness between my thighs.

“Yeah,” Valarie said smiling. “You call him tomorrow and ask him. I am sure he is going to tell you that is not what he wants.” She started to laugh at me.

I looked down at my food. I felt like she was making fun of me, just like the nurses at work. “Ah, Ivy,” Valarie said. “Don’t get upset. You know I love you, and I say if it is going to ensure your future, girl, go for it!”

“You would,” I said, and both of us laughed. We both knew that Valarie had been with plenty of men, and if she was going to benefit from it, she would sleep with anyone. I wouldn’t though; I would think that’s wrong. Plus, I had only had sex once and it was terrible. But Dr. Shaffer was something else. I was so attracted to him and he looked like he would give me a good time in bed. If sex was really want he wanted, I wouldn’t mind finding out what he could do just for the sake of my lust, not even for career advancement.

I enjoyed my evening with Valarie and headed home. I could not get the thought of having sex with Dr. Shaffer out of my head. No matter what I did I could not deny that I was turned on. A man like him wanting me. The wetness between my thighs continued to get worse, and when I finally got home, I was more than happy to get in the shower.

I thought about what I would say to Dr. Shaffer when I called him in the morning. I thought about what it would feel like to have his hands on my body, to taste his lips. I wondered what he looked like naked. I knew he worked out a lot; even though he was almost forty years old, he looked like he was in his late twenties. He was very muscular and extremely attractive.

The more I thought about the next day, the more I dreaded it, but I also became more and more excited. I dried off and dressed for bed. It was turning out to be a very interesting weekend. I walked into my living room and turned on a movie. I needed something scary to take my mind off of the tingling I could not get rid of. I had to get my mind off of Dr. Shaffer. I ended up falling asleep on the couch.

When I awoke the next morning, it was still dark out. I made my coffee and got dressed. I wore a flowing maxi dress that showed off my curves as well as my cleavage. If Dr. Shaffer wanted to see me, I wanted to look good. Once the sun had come up, I picked up my cell phone and called him.

“Hello.”

“Um, Dr. Shaffer… it’s Ivy. You told me to call you,” I stammered.

“Well, aren’t you up early?” he laughed. “So have you thought about my offer?”

“Yes, sir,” I replied. “I will do whatever I can to help you. Whatever you need.”

“Hmmm, whatever I need…” he replied. “Why don’t you give me about 30 minutes and come over? We can talk more here.”

“Okay,” I said, hanging up the phone. I was shaking while I stood in my living room, not really sure what I should expect. I hoped that Valarie was wrong but something in my gut told me that she was right.

I busied myself doing a few chores around the house and then headed off to Dr. Shaffer’s. The drive seemed like it took forever and when I finally got there, my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest.
