The Billionaire’s Sweet Surprise(6)

Vince slowly pulled his cock free and once again, caught his wife as she nearly fell to the floor in a heap.

A dazed smile was his reward for fucking her like a cheap whore. God, what a woman!

He kissed her tenderly as he carried her to the small sofa. He tucked her into his lap, loving the feel of her damp, well-used pussy on his lap.

“What took you so long?” she asked with a satisfied smile, curling her fingers along the nape of his neck.

“I was trying to be a gentleman,” he answered wryly.

“I didn’t marry a gentleman,” Emma reminded him.

“You’re right, you didn’t,” he agreed, parting her legs and sliding his fingers along her soaked seam.

He pushed his finger inside her, his passage made easy by the fluids still dribbling from her core.

He pinched her clit and she jerked. “And you’ve been a pain in my ass for the last few weeks.”

Emma giggled. “Well, it’s about time you did something about it.”

Vince slowly pushed his finger inside her, loving the way her eyes darkened with need.

She was an insatiable little thing, which was another reason why they clicked so well together. “I’ll remember that, sweetheart.”

He slowly worked his finger, taking time to caress, flick and rub her clit and within moments, she was coming again.

She gripped his shoulder as she broke apart, panting and moaning until she shuddered and curled against him with a happy sigh.

He withdrew his finger slowly, enjoying how she jerked as he grazed her sensitized clit and then licked her juices away. She buried her face against his neck, embarrassed.

“I love the way you taste,” he said.

Emma lifted her head and smiled. “And I love you.”

“You forgive me for being reluctant to share the bad news?”

She nodded. “Is it really bad news? Or are you secretly relieved?”

Vince answered without hesitation. “I’m ready to close that chapter of my life. Malvagio is part of my past, not my future.”

“It means a lot to hear you say that. I hate feeling as if I’m being the prudish wife who is making you choose between your former life and your new one.”

“No one is making me choose. I made the choice willingly.”

Emma relaxed against him. “Thank you.”

He rested his chin lightly on the top of her head, loving the way she nestled against him.

She shifted slightly as if in discomfort and rubbed at her stomach.

“Everything okay?” he asked, concerned. Damn, he’d been too rough. He helped her off his lap. “Babe, you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m sure it’s fine. Just a little twinge. Maybe we did overdo it a little.”

Emma tried to stand but cried out as she doubled over. “Vince…I don’t feel right,” she admitted with a gasp, her face blanching with pain. “I…I think I need to lie down.”

Fear struck his head and he scooped her up in his arms, not willing to take a chance. “You’re going to the hospital.”

“No,” she protested. “I’m sure it’s just a pinched nerve or something. It’s fine.”

But even as the words left her mouth she was panting, clutching at her stomach and he wasn’t going to take no for an answer.

He carried her to the car and bundled her into it, texted Nolan and Dillon and went straight to the hospital.

She couldn’t be in labor. She had four more weeks to go. But as much as she wanted to believe Vince was overreacting, there was no mistaking the rhythmic band of pain squeezing her insides. “Call Lana,” Emma told Vince in a panic. She needed her sister with her. “Slow down, Vince! I don’t want to die on the way to the hospital!”

Vince ignored her sharp tone and seemed to drive even faster.

Thankfully, he was an above average driver and when he pulled up to the emergency room entrance, she was secretly relieved because the pain was intensifying with each passing moment.

She groaned as another wave hit her. “It feels like someone is scraping razors across my lower back,” she told Vince, tears stinging her eyes. “It’s too early, Vince. I’m not supposed to go into labor for another four weeks!”

“We’ll see what the doctor says, sweetheart,” he said, once again picking her up as if she weighed nothing when in fact, she could probably kaleidoscope his spine.

He strode into the bright hospital corridor, shouting orders and she wanted to die of embarrassment but she was also glad to have him on her side. When Vince wanted things done, they got done.

“We need a doctor! My wife’s in early labor!”

Nurses appeared with a wheelchair and Vince deposited her gently. The triage nurse took her vitals and then wheeled her over to an empty bed.

“How long have you been having contractions?” the nurse asked, handing Vince a paper gown for her to put on.

Emma frowned, unsure. “I don’t know…I mean my back has been killing me for days but, um, this pain,” she sucked in a tight breath, waiting out the agony “just started after we…um, had sex.”

“Hmmm, okay. We’ll get someone in here to check you out. In the meantime, try to relax and use your breathing.”

“She’s four weeks early,” Vince insisted. “I want my wife’s doctor right now. Page him, call him, send a smoke signal, whatever it takes but we need Dr. Albright now.”

“Honey, it’s okay,” Emma tried to reassure Vince but the pain was intense. She groaned and clutched her stomach. “Why do people tell women to breathe when they’re having contractions! It doesn’t fucking help!”

The nurse, apparently accustomed to panicked fathers, just nodded and disappeared.

Vince slipped his hand into Emma’s and held tight. Emma responded by nearly cracking his hand in two when the next contraction hit.

“Ahhh, honey, those are my bones you’re crushing,” he said, trying to loosen her grip but she was holding on for dear life.

“It hurts, Vince,” she cried, losing her ability to stay calm in rapid fashion. She knew labor would be painful but this was off the charts. “This is our penance for having sex!”

Vince wisely remained silent and just allowed her to squeeze his hand as she needed. Dr. Albright appeared a few moments later with a concerned smile.

“What are you doing here?” he asked. “You’re not due yet.”

“Dr. Albright…please make it stop. It’s too early,” she begged, afraid for her baby.

“Let’s take a look under the hood and see if we can make it stop,” he said, sliding on gloves and encouraging her to scoot down so he could examine her.

After a long minute, he rolled back on his stool and removed his gloves with a frown. “You’ve been in labor for some time. You’re five centimeters dilated. That’s nearly halfway there. I don’t think we can stop this. Have you been in pain?”

“My back,” Emma answered, panting. “It’s killing me.”

“Back labor in the beginning stages often feels like a dull ache. It’s easy to mistake it for the usual ache of carrying around the extra weight in the front,” he said frankly. “Well, it looks like your baby is anxious to meet you.”

Emma looked to Vince with tears in her eyes, then back to Dr. Albright. “What does that mean for the baby?”

“It means we’re going to give you a shot to help the baby’s lungs and then we’re going to do our very best to make sure your baby is healthy.

In the meantime, let’s get you into a room.” He clapped Vince on the shoulder. “Get ready…someone’s about to be a dad.”

Emma had never seen Vince pale so quickly. He turned to her, his gaze strong for her sake.

“Everything is going to be fine. This is the finest facility and our baby is going to get the best of care.”

“I know,” she said, holding his hand as she waited out another intense contraction. “I just want him or her to be okay.”

“Me too.”

Within a few hours, everyone was at the hospital waiting for the news. Vince emerged from Emma’s room to give details but Lana bypassed him and went straight to Emma’s room, which was fine because Emma wanted her sister with her.

“Is she okay?” His sister-in-law Penny approached to ask, concerned. “What happened?”

Vince pushed his hand through his hair, so worried he couldn’t think straight. “Dr. Albright thinks she may have been in labor for the last few days but back labor is sometimes hard to recognize, particularly for first-time mothers.”

Penny nodded in sympathy. “That’s true. I had wicked back labor with Robert.”

Shannon, Nolan’s wife, nodded vigorously. “It’s the worst. I didn’t realize I was in labor with Aubrey until the pain got super intense and I thought I was going to die.”
