The Billionaire's Bride of Convenience(35)

‘Are we?’

‘Absolutely.’

A horrible thought suddenly occurred to her. ‘You you will still marry me, won’t you?’

His face showed mock-offence. ‘Would I do that to you?’

‘I have no idea what you’d do to me. I’ve never been with someone like you before.’

‘Meaning?’

‘I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation. I mean, what kind of man stops and chats at a time like this?’

He laughed. ‘A man who doesn’t have to feel guilty any more. But I can move and talk. Trust me.’

When he set up a slow, voluptuous rhythm with his hips, a wave of heat washed through her, her flesh clenching and unclenching around his.

He groaned the most sexy-sounding groan.

‘Oh, babe, you’re even better than I thought you’d be. That feels fantastic.’

‘You feel pretty fantastic yourself,’ she choked out.

‘See? You can talk and move as well.’

‘I I think I’m going to come.’

‘So soon?’

‘Sorry.’

‘Don’t be. I’m not far behind you. But you first. I want to watch.’

His words sent her face flaming and her head spinning. But nothing short of death was going to stop her climaxing.

He didn’t watch for long. At the moment her first spasm struck his mouth dropped down onto her own gasping one, his hands rushing up to hold her face captive whilst he plunged his tongue in deep.

She kissed him back and kept on coming, her fingers digging into the nape of his neck, her back arching from the bed in some crazed attempt to get closer to him. She felt his release too, deep inside her body; felt the violent shudders of his flesh, felt a flood of heat.

His mouth burst free of hers on a strangled cry of what might have been pain, or pleasure. Their eyes met, Hugh’s looking stunned for a moment. But then he laughed.

‘Oh, babe,’ he said, shaking his head at her. ‘You’re in big trouble now.’

CHAPTER TWELVE

‘YES, I know,’ Hugh was saying into his cellphone. ‘It’s a shame. I was looking forward to tonight as well Yes, I’m going to go back to bed. And I’m going to stay there all day,’ he added with a wink Kathryn’s way.

Truly, he was wicked. And a very convincing liar.

‘Bye, Fliss. Give my regards to hubbie.’

Hugh shut his phone and put it down on the breakfast bar.

‘There,’ he said. ‘All done. No sailing this afternoon and no dinner party tonight. Now ’ He slid off the stool and started making his way round to where she was pouring herself a second cup of coffee.

‘You stop right there!’ she snapped before he could reach her, or touch her again.

‘What?’ he said, doing his best to look innocent, not an easy task when he was stark naked. She, at least, was wearing one of his shirts.

‘You haven’t left me alone since we arrived yesterday afternoon, except for a couple of miserable hours in the middle of the night when I passed out from exhaustion. I need a rest,’ she said, resolving to take some control of her life once more. ‘I haven’t even had anything to eat!’

‘Oh, Kathryn, Kathryn,’ he said softly. ‘Don’t go getting all stroppy with me. OK, we’ll have a rest for a couple of hours. Though we’ll still have to stay here. I can’t go out after claiming to all and sundry that I’ve been struck down by a virus.’

‘All and sundry! You only said that to two people. Sydney has a population of over four million!’

‘Yes, but Fliss knows everybody who knows everybody and she’s an incorrigible gossip. What say I ring up and order us a DVD? I know a place that home delivers. Is there anything particular you’d like to see?’

Kathryn sighed. There went her plans to go home today. Not that she really wanted to, a realisation which flabbergasted her. She’d never been this easy before. Or this submissive. She had to show Hugh that she wasn’t like all those other silly females who fell at his feet. Though she had, hadn’t she, in the shower last night?

Oh, God.

‘Nothing X-rated,’ she said sharply.

‘Of course not.’

‘And I don’t want to watch it in the bedroom.’

‘Absolutely not.’

‘And you’re to go put some clothes on.’

He sighed, turned and trudged off towards the bedroom, making a mockery of his seeming compliance when he returned in a pair of black satin boxer shorts.
