The Alpha's Virgin Witch(6)

She laughed, and he liked the sound. He wanted to make her laugh a lot more.

“You’ve got to learn to do that more.”

“What?”

“Laughing.”

The laughter died on her lips. “Why are you not smiling?” he asked.

“It’s hard. I don’t belong here.”

“The pack is your family. Going out there, it’s dangerous.”

“I’m a witch.”

“Like you said, you could move leaves. What if there’s a bigger threat out there?” he asked. He couldn’t allow anything to happen to her, and the thought alone was too damn much. There couldn’t be a world without Lucy. He wouldn’t allow it to happen.

“You said it was pretty cool.”

“It is when you’ve got the whole pack to protect you. Before you consider leaving the pack, you need to really work on your magic. From what I saw with Patricia, your emotions play a part. You’ll get angry and your magic comes out. Waiting for your emotions isn’t good, not even for you, and when you’re in a battle, you don’t want to wait to get angry.”

He couldn’t let her leave.

“What do you suggest? I can’t stay here forever.”

“Why not? Your family is here.”

She snorted. “I can’t stay here. You’re all wolves, destined to be together. I’m going to have to find other witches, and whatever they call the men. There’s no chance of me ever finding something with someone.” Her cheeks heated, and the scent of her pussy grew stronger.

“What are you not saying?” he asked.

“There’s no one here for me. You can screw half the pack, and no one looks my way. I didn’t have a date to prom, and I can’t date.”

“You want to date?”

“Yes!” She covered her face with her hands, and he noticed in the distance broken down trees starting to rise up from the ground. Her emotions were linked to her powers, and she needed to learn to control them.

“Then I’ll take you on a date.”

“What? No. I don’t want a pity date. I want an actual date with a guy who’ll want to kiss me at the end—”

Cupping her cheek, Caleb silenced her with a kiss. Stroking her cheek, he plundered her mouth with his tongue, going deeper. At first she didn’t respond, but he was determined for her to kiss him back. He’d spent many nights dreaming about her lips on his, and he was going to get a response from her.

She touched her tongue to his, and everything within his world seemed to fall into place. He didn’t know what she’d done, or if it was any kind of magic at all. Lucy had always been different to him. She interested him in ways that no other female ever had before.

Pulling away from her lips, he stared into her eyes. “I want to take you out on a date.”

“If I say no?”

“Then how about I persuade you?”

“How would you do that?”

“We go out on a double date. I date you, and Guy dates Bianca.”

She shook her head. “No. He’s going to hurt her.”

“They’re mates, Lucy. Bianca’s wolf calls to his, and if she wasn’t so submissive, she’d have been mated to him already.”

“I’ve got to protect her.”

“By going on a date with me and Guy, you’ll be protecting her.”

“I don’t trust you.”

“Yet you’re the witch who can impale me any time. I’ve got a lot more to be scared of.”

Lucy snapped her spell book closed. “No. This is crazy and insane. I want to go out on dates, and have fun. You’re just pacifying me.”

“Then how about we make a deal?”

“A deal?”

“You stay in Wolf Valley, learn your magic, and I’ll be here to keep an eye on you. In return for you staying with the pack, I’ll date you.”

He didn’t want her to leave.

“I’m not going to make a bargain with you to date me. Do you know how wrong that is?”

“I want to date you.”

She got to her feet and started yanking on the blanket. “Please, you’ve got the entire pack at your beck and call. You don’t need me, nor do you need to date me.”

“I’m not joking around. I want you.” He got to his feet, standing up close against her. Wrapping his arm around her waist, he tugged her close. “So how about I show you?” He pressed his rock hard cock against her, and her eyes grew wide. Pressing against her, he ran his hand down to her full ass. This was another reason that set her apart from the pack. She was all curves with large tits and a full, rounded ass. He fucking loved her body.

Most of the pack were slender as they had a fast metabolism. There were a few wolves with large curves, like Bianca, but most of them were slender with no tits to speak of.

Caleb love tits. He loved them big, and just by holding Lucy, he knew he’d love fucking her.

There was that feeling of being grounded again. Lucy set his pulse racing, and yet her presence soothed his wolf. Most of the time he was begging to get out, to run, to chase whereas Lucy calmed all of those instincts, apart from two, the need to protect, and the need to fuck.

“Our deal?”

“Okay. I’ll take your deal.”

“Every day, I’ll meet you here, at this spot, and not sooner or later. I expect you here by noon, no later.”

“I can do this by myself.”

He shook his head. “You’re not doing anything by yourself. I won’t let you.” He pressed a kiss to her lips.

“I’m a witch.”

“And I’m a wolf.” He squeezed her ass before stepping back. “I’ll be here to protect you so no one invades your practice.”

“You think I need to practice?”

“In order to succeed, you do. At the moment, you wouldn’t make it out there.” He saw she was struggling with the decision. “If you can’t do this for yourself, then do it for Bianca. She and Guy, they’re destined to be mates. You can’t stop her from being with him. In time, neither of them will be able to deny their need for each other.”

“How long has Guy known?”

“Long enough. Do this for her,” he asked.

Over the years he’d seen that Lucy would do anything for Bianca, even hang out with a guy she didn’t like for her.

“Fine. I’ll go and see Bianca.”

“I’ll meet you tonight at seven. I expect you both to be ready.”

Chapter Four

“Do you really want to go out with them?” Bianca asked.

Lucy smiled over at her friend. Adele and Kyle were in the kitchen talking about some pack stuff while they waited for Caleb and Guy to knock on the door.

“I don’t want to go out with Caleb.”

“Then why did you agree?”

“You like Guy, right?” she asked, seeing her friend blush at the question.

“I don’t know.”

“You don’t have to worry about the answer.”

Bianca frowned. “I don’t know what I feel.”

“Try, I won’t laugh, and I won’t judge. This is you being able to do and say what you like.”

She heard her friend sigh.

“I don’t know. Thinking about him now, it scares me that I’m going to be with him tonight. When I’m with him, something seems to shift inside me, and I don’t know what to do with myself. My body, it comes alive. I can’t control it, and I want to be with him. Does that make any sense?”

“It does.” Lucy thought about Caleb like that. Today when he was touching her, he was setting her body aflame, but she wasn’t afraid. She missed that, she really did.

Biting her lip, she stared down at her hands. Being around Caleb was going to be a kind of torture in itself. She did find him attractive, and the fact he knew that didn’t help. He made her nervous, excited, and thrilled to be with him.

“What about Caleb? Why do you want to date him?”

“He asked me.”

“That’s all?”

“Yeah. It’s not like anything can happen between Caleb and me. We’re completely different.”

“Opposites sometimes attract.”

“A witch and a wolf? I doubt it. He’s probably dating me as a favor to his dad or something. This has nothing to do with me.” Even as she said the words, it cut deep. She wanted someone to love her, to adore her, and to fall for her. Lucy wanted want her own parents had. Her own life confused her. She had two sets of parents. The first pair she didn’t know, but the second was Adele and Kyle. They were her mom and dad.

“It could happen. There’s no rule to state that he’s got to mate to another wolf.”

She laughed. “Look at the pack, Bianca. There’s only wolf mating with wolf. It’s okay, really. In time, I’ll go and find my own guy from my own kind.”

Someone knocked on the door, and she got to her feet to answer it, happy to be doing something. The more she sat and thought about how alone she was, the harder it was for her to not cry. For too long she’d been by herself, and she didn’t want to be anymore.

Opening the door she saw Caleb and Guy dressed in jeans and plain white shirts. They both filled them out well, but her gaze was on Caleb.

“Are you going to invite us in?” Caleb asked.

“She is. Don’t be rude, Lucy,” Adele said.
