“Will I see her soon?”
“Well, maybe not soon, but yes, if you want to come back to visit her, at some point I’m sure that will be possible. Eventually, you will have to tell her that you are moving away.”
“I’m moving away? Permanently?” The whirl of my thoughts greyed my vison. I swayed even with my head resting on a pillow.
“Trust me, once you get there, you will never want to leave. And, I don’t think, once they meet you, that they will want you to go. This is a chance at family, at magic, at writing if you want, some fantastic tales that you can call paranormal even if to you they are real. You know how you started to write our story? Well, you are going to have an amazing series rather than just a happy ending now. A few revisions to the beginning, and you will have a bestseller on your hands.”
“I can’t even go there yet. I’m still stuck on the family and living on some island in a mansion, and not going back to that sucky job, and having magic for cripes sake. But, where does that leave you?”
“Hopefully, right by your side. As long as we can show them that our love only helps you, then I believe they will let us be together. You won’t need protection there, as the entire island is guarded by land, air, and sea. All you will need there is my love and support, and I plan to prove to you and them that you can’t live without me.”
“I can’t. I couldn’t get through this moment without you,” I sighed, breathless, physically and mentally.
“Good. Now, let’s get some rest. We have far to travel tomorrow.”
“Sleep? Really?” I huffed as I reached for his face and brought his lips to mine.
In a dream-like state, I gave into the wonder of it all. We slipped from our clothes and came together as my entire being floated, seemed suspended all around me like a ghost. Our kissing grew intense, to the point of bruised lips and lost breath. Wrapping my legs around him, I sighed as he slipped into me with ease. As my inner walls adjusted to his girth, my body didn’t just tremble: it glimmered like the power I held inside me did. By this, I mean I grew light and powerful, a force to be reckoned with, that I didn’t fully understand yet, but surrendered to anyway.
As he moved inside me, slow and gentle, with toe curling, full thrusts, I opened my eyes to the shimmer of my magic swirling around us in a lazy show of power. As we came together, the force of our love became visible.
“Open your eyes.” I got out the words through my gasps as contractions tightened my core.
He did so, not breaking his rhythm. I saw a smile flit over his face at the sight of all the wondrous colors that made the room glow in the soft, dazzling light of a pastel rainbow with hints of deep, rich colors vibrating within. Then, his eyes closed as the full impact of his orgasm swept him away from the world.
I let myself go there, too. We came together, one being even as our hearts beat together as two. We mated in some true sense of the word, our magic combining together in a way no words could possibly communicate. We didn’t need them. Instead we clung to each other, rode the waves of passion and pleasure that only two hearts meant to be can share.
I sighed as his weight fell to me an instant before he rolled us to our sides. Turning me until we spooned, I felt the tingle of his change, his transformation of man to wolf. Soon, I found myself surrounded by soft, dark fur. Paws more the size of a bear’s stretched out before they pulled in around me, two above my head, and two rested against my feet.
As I closed my eyes, gave into the purest exhaustion I’d ever experienced, which hit me like a tidal wave, his big, cool nose nuzzled into my hair on the top of my head. With a sigh of one blessed, I let go, let my mind fall to dreams of a castle that held a loving family who together became all powerful in a literal sense of the word.
In my dream, my wolf walked beside me in a bright forest full of the whites and reds and yellows of wildflowers. I too, a wolf, broke into a run that he followed. We ran and ran through the trees until the wind rushing in our ears seemed to empower us even more. Coming to a halt with ease, my wolf nuzzled his long muzzle against mine. In a flux of magic, I simply emerged a woman. My hand grazed a tree where clothes hung, and the leaves turned more radiant, shined with life.
My wolf followed suit. Before he could reach for his own clothes, I ran a light finger over his manhood. He growled, a sound that promised me so much more of that once we returned home. I pulled over my head a long dress, one soft like a cashmere sweater and radiant white that caught all the colors of nature around us. As we passed a waterfall, one tall and rapid, with a wave of my hand, I sent the stream to water the woods. Sunshine glittered off the droplets, turning them to diamonds in the air.
