The One I Gave My Heart To(4)

Each of their names held weight, and nobody was stupid enough to fuck with any of them on some dumb shit, unless they were willing to be responsible for their own homicide. Hell, they even had some of the law on their side. The police rarely ever gave them a hard time because, even though they were flashy and known for a lot of drug related activities, they always gave back to the community, which in some sort of way made them look good.

To the eye, they appeared to be bachelors as well, and some young wild, crazy niggas they were. As absurd as it may sound, that is what made them even more attractive. It was very rare that you would see any of them with the same chick on their arm, so you’d be one lucky ass bitch to get either one of them to settle down.

Every nigga around town wanted to rock with Dola and his squad, because of the luxurious lifestyle that they seemed to live, while still being a part of the hood. Most niggas would get rich and move up out of the hood, forget where they came from, and never return, but not these niggas. They were always in the hood showing off and handling business. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know of their profession. The cars, bikes, clothes, and hoes was enough proof for me and everyone else, and they spoke for themselves. They had it all. Shit that most people like myself only dreamed of having. Anytime I had ever saw Dola, he was always surrounded by the same people, confirming that he kept his circle small and tonight wasn’t any different.

Kelsi nudged me with her elbow, interrupting my thoughts. “Bitch, look who’s making their way over here.” She smiled.

When I looked up and saw Dola walking towards me looking like a pot of gold, I wanted to crawl up under a rock and hide. I was just that damn nervous. I mean, y’all don’t understand how long I had been fantasizing about this nigga hoping that I’ll someday get his attention. It felt like a King was coming to acknowledge the presence of his Queen in front of the world.

Instantly, my palms began to perspire and my heart sped up skipping a few beats along the way. The effect that was taking over my body during that moment shocked the shit out of me. I just wasn’t myself at all. It was something unexplainable that I had never experienced by a man, or known a man to cause. I had been waiting for this day to come, and Lord knows, I didn’t want to fuck it up by doing or saying something stupid and embarrassing.

Yeah, Dola was definitely that nigga to have this type of effect on someone and he owned it. Money, power, and respect is what he looked like, as he made his way over to the bar. You couldn’t miss him for the simple fact that every piece of jewelry worn on his body was shining brighter than the break of dawn. He stood out from the crowd, as usual, and when he walked, it seemed as if the entire club had stopped to clear the way so that he could walk through. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rich Homie Quan’s “Walk Through” didn’t come blasting through the speakers.

His presence alone was impeccable. From his strong facial features, all the way down to the way that he sauntered. His thug demeanor was enticing… too damn enticing if I must add. Especially to a good girl like myself. As he walked in my direction, I couldn’t help but notice that, through his denim blue jeans, he was slightly bowlegged, and that only added more sex appeal to what he already possessed. I watched his muscular arms flex, as he dapped a few niggas up, and I saw a few chicks even tug at his shirt, as he walked pass them trying to get his undivided attention. To my surprise, he kept on moving. The closer he reached me, the clearer the smell of his stimulating cologne became. I wasn’t sure of the kind he was wearing but, whatever kind it was caused my faucet to leak like the pipes were broken.

“Let me get three shots of Drelli!” He told the bartender and took a seat on the empty stool next to me. Play it cool, Mia. He’s only a man. Just relax.

“What’s up, Pretty Lady? You must gotta eye problem, or sum? You been watching a nigga all night…” He smiled, sexily, causing me to shift a lil’ bit in my seat nervously. Damn, his teeth are pretty! Dola’s teeth were a glossy white, and his goatee was trimmed to perfection.

“Is that right?” I giggled. “I’ve been watching you all night? Are you sure about that?”

His sarcasm was quite flattering, and I had to laugh at his cleverness. He tried it.

“Yeah, I’m sure. Me and my niggas saw you and ya girls over here snickering and shit. I came over to see what’s funny, huh? Tell Dola what’s funny.” He smiled, again, licking his smooth lips seductively, captivating not only my mind, but my body as well.

I could feel my cheeks turning red due to the fact that I was blushing so hard. A few moments later, the bartender walked over with a tray in her hand that held the drinks that he had just ordered.
