"Because it is no surprise, and I know how you must feel now so I won't give you a hard time. Like I told you before, I have been there."
Selena couldn't say she wasn't surprised at Krystal's attitude now, but she surely appreciated it.
"So what now?" Melanie wanted to know.
"Now life goes on as usual. Ethan...Mr. Bloomfield is back to being obnoxious again and there is nothing attractive about that."
Just then Krystal started whistling. "What?" shouted Selena.
"I didn't say anything," she laughed. "Okay, but you do know that the cat is out of the bag and once it is you can't really shove it back in. You won't think or feel the same way about him anymore and it is going to freak the hell out of you."
"Oh shut up Krystal," Selena said, but deep down she knew her words were true. She had already started harbouring thoughts of being with him, and the green snake of jealousy had already begun to rear its ugly head. She may desperately want it to be over, but they all knew this may only just be the beginning.
Chapter 7
She was wearing nothing but a chiffon dress and as the wind played about the hem, the fabric billowed all around her. She was on the beach and the sound of the ocean drowned all others and she looked around to find the source of her happiness now. He stood about two feet away admiring her turning about on the sand with her hands outstretched as if she wanted to capture the breeze. When she saw him her face lit up and she walked towards him. He moved too, and they met in the middle lips first. She circled his neck with her arms and tasted the salty air of the ocean on him as their mouths collided. He held her around the middle and pressed her closer to him and they began a slow dance that would last for eternity. Then she opened her eyes and saw the long queue behind him; of the red head, the brunette, Megan, the blonde and so many others she had seen in the office before. She pulled her lips away from his, and as she watched he slowly backed away and started kissing the others one by one. Selena's hand flew to her mouth as she saw the grin on his face when he looked back at her, and she turned to run. She didn't get far as his voice echoed in her head a laugh that mocked her and as she ran she tripped and fell in the sand.
Selena flew out of her sleep as cold sweat washed over her. She grabbed the pillow and covered her face with it as she tried to stifle a scream. Was this going to be her life from now on? Was Ethan going to haunt her sleep every night? She hadn't wanted to sleep with him, not at first. But now she knew there could be no other encounters. He had already gotten under her skin after one night of passion albeit a night that had left her more satisfied than she had ever been all her life. And why wouldn't it? He was a master at the game, having had years and tons of women as practise.
With her face still hidden under the pillows, she tempered her breathing, and her mind drifted back to two nights ago when she had first felt his lips on hers. Her legs started moving as she remembered how his warmth had captivated her entire body from root to tip; how his hands had made their mark all over her frame. Involuntarily her own hands began to move until her fingers found her now wet and soft spot. It slid over her clit like snake on ice, and she felt her own juice as it began to spring. Slowly she wet her fingertip and then used it to massage the valley around her now erect mound, circling it and then rubbing it over the tip. She could almost feel his mouth there as he had licked at her, and the memory caused a moan to escape her as sensations all too familiar now rose in her.
Her free hand reached for her breast and she squeezed down on it as she felt the ache below intensify. She longed to feel him buried deep within her; for him to evoke all the feelings he had before. Her fingers began to move faster now, and she spread her legs as she imagined him taking her, drinking all the juice that endlessly flowed from her now. Unable to contain the feeling any longer, she started to vibrate and she gripped her breast even harder as the feelings overpowered her. For seconds she twitched as she got lost in the moment, and soon the vibration stopped, but she still throbbed. Slowly her legs slid to rest on the bed and she heaved a sigh as she relaxed once more.
She was free to fantasize about her night with him, but she knew it was nothing more than a one night stand she would not allow to turn into anything else. Spent from her recent activity, her eyes grew heavy and sleep overcame her once more. By the time she opened her eyes again, the sun was already up. She flew out of bed, wondering why the alarm hadn't gone off. It was then she realised it had stopped working and one quick look told her she had thirty minutes to arrive at the office.
Fifteen minutes later and a half ironed suit later and she was speeding down the busy street once more. She knew she risked a speeding ticket once more, but she would rather a ticket now than losing her job. Not that at this current rate she would have a job much longer. She needed to sell something and she would practise what Mr. Bloomfield had told her. Maybe she had been wrong in her approach all along. What she now knew was that honesty may not always be the best policy, though it was a damn good one. She had always relied on the house to sell itself, and when it couldn't, that's when she had started failing. She needed to change her strategy and see how much good it did.
She hurried into the office at twenty minutes to nine, just in time to see Mr. Bloomfield come out of his office. "Selena, a moment please."
Usually Megan would be thrilled that Selena would be scolded for being late, but this time she wore a frown. She wasn't sure whether the girl would be receiving a lashing or a whooping. "Right away Sir," Selena responded.
She timidly walked into the office behind Mr. Bloomfield, unsure of what reason she would give this time as to why she was late. Surely she couldn't tell him she woke early, and was plagued by thoughts of him that refused her sleep; and how she had pleasured herself and had been drained in the process that she overslept.
"I'm sorry about being late..." she began as soon as she closed the door behind her. But she was surprised at what happened next. Ethan wheeled around and caught her in his arms and before she knew what was happening his lips had found hers and were crushing them with his need.
"You have no idea how many times I have wanted to do that," he breathed into her.
Selena parted her lips and received him and was half way through kissing him when she pulled back. "No," she said as she wiped her hand across her mouth.
Ethan looked at her with confusion in his eyes. "Why not?" he asked as he reached for her once more.
Selena walked away from him before he could confuse her again with his touch. "Because the last time was a mistake; it shouldn't have happened."
"What was the mistake, going to dinner with me, or my home?" he teased.
"The entire thing; it was all a mistake and now..."
"Now?" he asked as realised there was something more she wasn't saying. "You did enjoy it didn't you?"
"I did...no, stop confusing me," she said at last. "Just know that it was a onetime thing and it will not happen again."
"Are you sure?" he asked as he advanced on her once more. He brought his lips down on hers once more and this time it took Selena all the will power she had to resist him.
"Please stop," she told him.
"I won't. I want you Selena," he whispered against her ear.
"But you have so many others; you don't want me," she said and by her rapid breathing he could tell he was having an effect on her.
"I don't want them; they want me. It is you that I want, sweet Selena, and the way you are resisting me now is turning me on," he told her. He caught her hand and placed it on his growing member and she pulled it back as if she had been burned.
"This can't happen again Mr. Bloomfield," she said as she dodged him.
"Would you stop calling me that for Christ's sake? Call me Ethan."
"I think that would be highly inappropriate. I feel I must maintain calling you that lest my mouth should slip here at the office and give rumours to the already wagging tongues here."
"Oh forget about the gossip mongers. Just focus on the real issue here."
"The real issue is it was inappropriate for me to have slept with my employer. I can't take it back, but I can surely stop it from happening again."
"Oh you will," he teased as he gave her a sly smile. Selena suddenly grew afraid; she felt like she was his puppet and he was controlling her with strings.
"I have to work Sir," she said as she cleared her throat.
"Okay, you are free to go. But make no mistake; I always get what I want and right now, I want you."
