Tainted Love(39)

By:Amo Jones

Maybe I should bill him for that?

“You ready?” he asks.

I nod my head. “Yeah, let’s go.”

He pulls on my hand, tucking me under his shoulder as we begin walking down to his car. The past twenty-four hours have been fantastic. I’ve loved being away from everything with just him and me, even if it was under shit circumstances. Pulling out my phone and text messaging Vicky, I let her know we’re on our way back. No doubt, she’ll be panicking. I intentionally haven’t picked up her calls over the past day. I shove my phone back into my pocket.

She’s going to be mad as fuck.

We set off on the highway, heading back toward reality.

The next morning, I wake up and stretch my arms out. It’s wedding day! I clap my hands and jump off the bed, trying not to wake Ade, who’s sleeping peacefully next to me. I pull on his SS T-shirt, which hangs to my knees and stare at him for a few seconds. Admiring him like a stalker, before going into the kitchen and preparing the batter for pancakes. I plug my iPod into the hotel dock and turn on 2Pac ‘Thugs Get Lonely Too,’ I need a bit of gangster in my life this morning.

Beginning to dance around the kitchen, I’m in my zone. I love dancing, it heals everything, not that I need healing right now—I need Ade Nixon rehab. Looking up after pouring some batter into the pan I see Ade leaning against the doorframe, smirking with his arms crossed in front of his bare chest. His hair is all messy, standing around his face and his piercing blue eyes are peering into me as if they can see into the depths of my soul. My tummy flips upside down and I try my best to hide my sudden excitement at seeing him standing there watching me dance. I turn the music down a bit.

“Hey! Pancakes?” I ask him, holding up a pancake on a spatula.

He laughs, walking over to the bar stool and pulling it out.

“I’ll eat anything you want me to eat just to watch you shake your ass like that again.”

“Hmmm, maybe you don’t need to eat anything to see me shake my ass. Maybe I’ll just do it for free, alone, locked in a room, for months,” I say smiling at him innocently.

He raises his eyebrows in surprise before leaning over the kitchen bench and pulling my face in, kissing me long and hard. “Maybe I’ll just eat your sweet pussy all day and you can dance your little ass all over my face.” I gulp down in shock and he laughs.

“You’re fucking perfect, I don’t deserve you,” he states, running his thumb over my bottom lip.

I lean my head into his grasp and look up to him. “You deserve more than you realize Ade, and I will happily prove that to you for as long as you need.”

His eyes turn soft, a gentle smile arriving at his lips. “You’re too much sweet, Kalie-Rose. Way too much.” My name rolls off his tongue and heads straight to my core. I’m doomed with this man, everything he does affects me. He sits back on his stool and leans into it. I continue stacking up the pancakes before placing them in on the bench. Moving around the corner I sit on the stool next to him. Picking up a stack and pouring maple syrup all over them—a little excessively—

but that’s how I like it. Scattering some bacon, bananas, and strawberries before digging my fork into them. I can see Ade look at me out of the corner of my eye and I turn my head to him.

“What?” I ask around a mouthful of pancake.

He laughs, wiping some maple syrup off my chin and sucking it off his finger.

“I love how you eat whatever you want without counting calories. I fucking hate bitches like that. Eat a fucking pizza and shut the fuck up about your weight. We don’t even notice the things most girls complain about on their body, they probably waste half their life stressing over bullshit things we as males do not give a fuck about,” he mumbles while eating his pancake. I put another big piece into my mouth.

“Well, rest assured, you will not have to worry about me complaining about what I eat. As long as I get exercise in six days a week, I’m happy to eat pizzas with you,” I say smiling at him.

He laughs and kisses me on the lips, despite the fact that both of us have food in our mouth. “Like I said…perfect.”

After breakfast, we go our separate ways. He needs to meet the boys and I need to meet the girls and the wrath of Vicky.

“Vicky! You look beautiful,” I say pulling her into me as I walk through her hotel room door.

“Is Carter okay? I’m still gutted he couldn’t come,” she pouts.

“He's all right, a little shaken up, but I think Ade is looking into it.”

“How are you two?” she asks, wiggling her eyebrows.

“Please, don’t ever do that eyebrow thing again. You and Alaina creep me out. We’re good,” I say smiling. “Really, really good. I really like him, Vick,” I confess to her shyly.
