Summon Toren(84)

He lifted his upper body and watched her breasts move to the vigorous pumps of his hips.

She could only open her mouth in astonishment at the ecstasy he devastated her body with. She let loose her cry when he threw his head back and bared his teeth, the muscles and veins in his neck bulging with a deep metallic grow. He was coming. Oh God, yes. He cut her restraints loose and fell on her. Sam wrapped him in her arms and legs, feeling his orgasm grip his powerful body.

“Oh God, God, Father!” The strained cry sounded devastated with rapture, shock, and unspeakable joy. The sound of an angel’s first time being a real man. But it was the ultimate shattering inside her that tore through her with an uncompromising force. His soul binding to hers, breaking that demon’s hold with absolution.

CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

“What in God’s name is going on in there?” Skylar whispered, looking at the wall.

Ezekiel snuggled into her breasts with a moan of who cares.

“I hope Sam’s okay.”

Ezekiel grunted lightly. “I hope that angel’s okay. That woman seems like quite a handful.”

“Do you feel any different? I mean after that angel came in here like that? Wasn’t he supposed to make some kind of warrior? Did I miss something?”

“I don’t know.” He snuggled into her boob with his nose and mouth.

“You don’t seem very bothered by all of this.”

He finally looked up at her with casual concern. “What am I supposed to say? The…man if we can call him that, pulled my heart out of my chest and put it back, that kind of gets nominated for the biggest wow moment ever. For me at least.”

“I liked to fainted when he did that.”

He smiled at her and leaned up for her lips. “You tried to save my life when you thought he was strangling the shit out of me too.”

“Thought! He was. I mean yes you were an ass, but I didn’t want you dead. Jesus.”

He moved higher so he could kiss her more thoroughly. She moaned when he got bold and pushed her lips open with his and snaked his tongue in her mouth. “I like when you kissed me like that.”

“Did you know…I have a kissing phobia?”

She moaned more when his hand found its way between her legs as his lips trailed to her jaw. “W-why, you don’t seem…”

“When I was seven,” he kissed his way to her ear, “they punished me with a black sack over my head.”

Her stomach knotted and she grabbed his head and pulled his face to hers, staring at him. “They, who?”

He stared into her troubled gaze with an eerie peace. “The soldiers in charge of the new recruits.”

“New recruits? Seven?”

He studied her face, seeming oblivious to the horror of his own words. “You have freckles.”

Skylar’s heart ached at his calm behavior. “The sun likes me,” she whispered, running her thumb along his rough jaw.

He smiled and kissed her lips softly. “I like you too. A lot.”

Her heart pounded furiously with sudden realization of her true feelings. Feelings she had no business having for somebody she hardly knew. But there was such a connection there, it was undeniable and deep. Maybe fated even though she never believed in such a thing.

He seemed to sense her struggle and looked into her gaze. His blue eyes pierced her heart, dark and pensive in the shadows cast by the setting sun of the suites lone window. “Talk to me.”

His whisper strained with need. The need to hear her. Understand her. The need to be trusted, needed, desired. His searching blue eyes confirmed it all, along with the gentle touch of his fingers on her jaw. She fought for courage to say it. “I…”

He sat there, silently begging her, encouraging her to speak her feelings to him.

“I…I’m scared.”

The tiniest frown appeared between his perfect brows. “Please…don’t say that.”

“Not…of you, of my feelings.”

He seemed upset still that she should be afraid of anything. “You’re safe baby.”

The sweet term of endearment broke through her fears and she gasped on the growing emotions she had for him. “I just…” she huffed in frustration, looking at the ceiling. “Why is this so hard, they’re just words for cryin’ out loud?”

He leaned and nibbled extra softly at her jaw. “Say it.”

The broken need in his voice stabbed at her, filling her with a fierce need to protect him. “I love you. That’s what,” she said softly.

He gasped, a burst of warm joy at her ear. He settled between her legs and pushed his erection against her sex. “You love me,” he repeated, his voice a shaky whisper as his mouth found her neck with a startling hunger.
