Melissa was still a virgin, and even though she wanted Luke and Damian to make love with her, to touch and kiss and caress her, she was scared to. Had Sara been right? Was it Wesley who had the problem and not her after all?
She’d never forget her embarrassment or Wesley’s disgust with her. He’d wanted to show how good it could be between them and she had been horny after watching a romantic movie at the cinemas with him, and she had thought that she may have cared for him more than she really did. He’d been kissing her and had pushed her jeans and panties down her thighs and then he’d begun rubbing her clit. The repulsion she’d seen on his face as she’d come had made her feel so dirty and ashamed. She never wanted to see that look on another man’s face. But the more she thought about Wesley the more she realized how wrong he’d been for her and she hadn’t been the least bit in love with him.
She remembered how often he’d talked about his friend Bob and began to wonder if he’d gone out with her to cover up the fact he preferred men. Melissa didn’t care what other people’s sexual orientation was but the fact that he could have been using her and made her feel such an aversion to her own sexuality and femininity made her angry. She didn’t know if she would ever trust another man completely again. And yet these two men affected her so much, she couldn’t deny the connection she felt with them. At least not to herself.
She wasn’t normally a person to trade affections so quickly or to jump into anything without thinking long and hard about the situation, but these two men got to her like no other. She felt connected to them on such a deep level she couldn’t bear to walk away without at least experiencing their touch.
“I’ve never felt like this before.” Melissa finally started trying to explain what she was experiencing, but she didn’t have the words to expound on what she was going through, physically and emotionally.
She took a deep breath and began trying to explain again. “I know I will have to go home soon, but I don’t want to. I feel like I belong here.”
Damian gave her a soft smile and pushed the hair falling down across her cheek back behind her ear. “That’s the way it is with mates, baby. There is so much we want to tell you, but I’m not sure you’re ready to hear it all yet. But just be assured you are the only woman we will ever want in our lives. Don’t think you’re the only one that feels the connection, because we feel it, too, Mel.”
“But what if I agree to…be your mate? What if you…claim me and it doesn’t work out? What if you change your minds?” Melissa looked at Luke and his expression was so possessive it shot straight to her heart, and when she glanced back at Damian, he had the same expression on his face.
“We would never do anything to hurt you, baby. Let me put your mind at ease.” Damian cupped her face between his hands and stared deeply into her eyes. “There is no way we will ever change our minds. When a wolf mates, it’s for life. If you let us claim you, we will never walk away from you. We can’t and wouldn’t want to even if we could. A mating claim between a werewolf and their mate is so much more than a human marriage. We won’t want to be away from you for very long. We would need you close to us nearly all the time.”
“But…”
“Shh.” Damian leaned forward and kissed her lightly on the lips. His lips clung to hers and when he pressed a little firmer, she closed her eyes and pressed her body closer to his.
And then she was lost. Damian was a force to be reckoned with. He angled his head and covered her mouth with his. She opened to him and moaned when his tongue pressed into her mouth. He tasted different to Luke. Spicier, but no less sexually intoxicating. The more he kissed her, the more she wanted. When the hardened peaks of her breasts brushed against his muscular pecs, she realized she’d moved closer to him. She couldn’t help but moan as the brush against her sensitive nipples made her crave for a deeper touch. His tongue slid, danced, and dueled with and against hers, and she wrapped her arms around his neck so he couldn’t pull away.
She needed to be closer to him and Luke more than she needed her next breath. There was no way she could walk away without experiencing their complete touch. Their complete possession. If not in mind and heart, then at least in body.
Damian slowed the kiss and then lifted his head. He was gasping for breath and she could have sworn that she felt him trembling.
“Baby, we want to touch you and show you how good it could be between us. We won’t do anything you don’t want us to, and if you ask us to stop, I promise that we will stop immediately.” Damian paused to swallow and Melissa heard him. That little sign made her realize that he wasn’t as sure of her as he seemed. She looked over at Luke and saw that he was clenching his jaw, and he also looked like he was holding his breath.
