“Uh.” I made a face and closed my eyes against the bright light streaming in through the windows. “That’s weird.”

“What?” He chuckled.

“You can say that again.” He chuckled as he slid under the sheet, his mouth trailing over my skin.

Disappointment crashed into me, even though I had known he would need to go. I didn’t say anything for a minute, just listened to his breathing and wondered what he was thinking.
