Styx (Walk Of Shame 2nd Generation #2)(20)

It’s a feeling that I haven’t gotten in a while. Something about Styx, makes me believe that there’s something to look forward to. I’ve found that hope is something that I haven’t felt since losing my aunt last year so this . . . it surprises me.

Everything that I have loved has been lost, starting with my parents and ending with the woman that raised me since the age of ten.

That’s why I’ve put everything I have into the patients at the hospital, almost forgetting that I have a life myself. Any attachments outside of work has been impossible for me.

That’s exactly why I need to be careful when it comes to Styx. The sight of him in those perfect jeans, fitted tee and leather jacket does things to a woman’s body and mind.

I lost all sense of thought as I watched him climb off his motorcycle and walk toward me with a confidence that only Styx seems to have.

I smile when I find myself sniffing his shirt. “There’s something about you,” I whisper. “And I think I want to find out just what that is.”

Making a quick decision, before I can change my mind, I jump out of bed and gather some clothes to throw on. I must look like a hot mess right now, but I don’t care.

I know that Styx was just here, but I haven’t seen him in days and spending the little bit of time with him that I did, just wasn’t enough. It only made me want more of him.

So much more.

Within thirty minutes, I find myself lining up outside W.O.S, looking around me at all the women that are waiting to get in.

There’s got to be at least thirty women out here and who knows how many inside already, and almost every single one of them will be drooling over the man that I just had sex with and throwing money his way.

I’ve never felt anything like this before. It’s exciting, yet strange at the same time, knowing that he could have any woman that he wants, but for some reason he’s shown an interest in me.

I let out a flattered laugh and cross my arms, while waiting for the line to move. It seems to be taking forever and I can’t tell if it’s just because I’m anxious to see Styx or if it’s because the line just isn’t moving.

After about forty-five minutes of waiting in line, I look around me to see that the line hasn’t moved much, since no one seems to want to leave to let others in.

“Crap!” Letting out a defeated breath, I turn around to leave, just to be stopped by strong arms encircling my waist and pulling me against a hard body.

“Miss me already?”

My heart races with that excitement that I only feel around Styx, as I turn around to look his sweaty body up and down. He’s dressed in leather pants and holy fuck he looks dangerously sexy.

He’s breathing heavily as he watches me check him out, taking in every glistening muscle. “I’m going to take that as a yes.”

I laugh at his boldness and fight not to get lost in his insane blue eyes. “Maybe I was just bored,” I tease.

Smirking, he steps up against me and wraps his hands into the back of my hair, before leaning in to press his lips against my ear. “I’ll make sure to change that then.”

Grabbing my hand, he pulls me though the crowd, nodding his head at the security guard, Lane, as we pass him to get inside.

The music is loud, the screaming of the women even louder than I remember it from last time.

And having everyone’s eyes on me as Styx holds my hand has my body buzzing and my heart about ready to fly out of my chest with excitement.

“How did you know I was here?” I question close to his ear so that he can hear me over the noise.

“I didn’t.” He turns his face so that he’s talking in my ear now. “I was hoping.”

The idea of him looking for me has me smiling so damn hard that it hurts. It only shows me that even with all these women around, I’m somehow still on his mind.

I get a little nervous when I realize that he’s guiding me over to the VIP session where two beautiful women are sitting on the leather couch, talking and laughing.

They both look up once they notice me and Styx standing in front of them, listening to their conversation about someone named Hemy.

“Woah,” the blonde with tattoos says with a smirk. “Who is this hottie?”

Styx pulls me against him and grips my hip, possessively. “She’s with me. Don’t let any of the other assholes get too close.”

The other girl lifts a brow and looks me over, smiling, as if she approves. “The guys get a little crazy here, so don’t mind his manners.” She grabs my hand and pulls me down to sit next to her. “I’m Sage and that’s Onyx. You’re good with us.”

Styx laughs when I look up at him, confused. “They’re with Stone and Hemy. My family will take good care of you when I can’t. Just watch out for the blonde. She gets a little frisky.”
