“Hey there. I’ll run along now. You have fun Anna,” her best friend chirped. Anna smiled, knowing that Estelle was trying to keep her cool, but she was probably in the car giggling like a damn schoolgirl.
“I swear, that woman never changes,” she told them.
“Well I think we should head on over to the party. Don’t think we should be waiting any longer,” Kenneth said.
They got to the limo, and Anna was in the middle. The two of them were very close, and she noticed them checking her out. She was embarrassed by all of this, but at the same time, she felt like the queen of the world when they looked at her like that. She felt like she was in control, and soon, she would be all caught up in the pleasures of the night and the fun that was about to begin.
When they got to the gala, immediately a couple of girls started to look at Anna with glowering looks.
“Ignore them. Trust me, I know that they’re just jealous because they’re superficial brats,” Kenneth said.
“Yeah,” Anna replied. She did feel a bit intimidated though. However, the two billionaire men took her hand, and soon she was being led around the party. It was a nice space, with places to dance, drink, and talk with others. Two of their friends came on over, but both Adrian and Kenneth felt a bit nervous.
“Hey there. Who is this?’ one of the men asked.
“This is Anna. She’s a good friend of ours and our date,” Kenneth replied.
“Oh. We’ll have a good evening my dear,” the man said. He rushed off with a girl in tow, and Anna felt hot in the face.
“You okay?” Adrian asked.
“Yeah, it’s just a bit overwhelming,” she replied.
“You’re telling us. We hate going to these things, but we have to in order to make people happy. I swear, if there was a way for us to disappear from these stupid as balls events, I would do so in a heartbeat,” he stated.
Anna agreed with that. She felt out of place here, but what surprised her was the fact that they also felt out of place in a gala like this. She always thought that billionaire boys would be all over this sort of thing, but they both looked distracted, and it seemed like both Kenneth and Adrian were making their way over to a place.
“Let’s go over to the garden, I think that’s a better place to hang out. Honestly, I’m only here just to make a couple people happy, but I would rather just be chilling with you,” Kenneth said.
“Well thanks. I feel the same. But it is nice to dress up every once in a while,” she replied. She did feel like a princess in this getup.
“Well you look great either way,” Adrian stated. Anan felt happy they liked her just the way that she was. They made it over to what seemed to be the entrance to the gardens, but when they got there, a flood of girls attacked.
“Hey there Adrian!” one said.
“Hey Kenneth,” another fop replied.
“Hey there boys, you want to come dance?” a third one asked.
Already the two of them looked angry, and soon Kenneth and Adrian started to push through the area. They grabbed Anna’s hand, causing the girls to glare at them.
“Sorry, but we’re not interested,” Kenneth said.
“Of course you like commoners instead,” one of them pouted.
“Actually we do, but that’s not our problem,” Adrian replied with a smile.
The three of them walked over to the dance floor, with Adrian asking Anna to dance first. Kenneth was nearby, sipping a bit of wine. But then one of his other admirers came over, smiling at him.
“So Kenneth, would you like to dance?” the lady asked.
“Hell no,” he replied.
The woman huffed, but then, it only got worse. Wen Adrian was sitting around, the ladies completely surrounded him, and soon they were practically smothering him. Anna saw this, and in the middle of their dance, she tugged on Kenneth’s shoulder.
“We have to get him out of there. Look at them,” she pointed out.
Kenneth saw this, and already he was growing annoyed.
“Shit. I can’t believe they are doing this,” he said.
They raced over, grasping Adrian’s hand before he was completely surrounded and drowned by these women. They both rolled their eyes, realizing that this was definitely not going according to plan. They had to get out of there, and soon they assessed their options.
Staying inside and around that area wasn’t an option, and the place before was just getting worse with wear. The only other place that they hadn’t ventured over to yet. The three of them snuck out of the general area and over to the garden. It wasn’t occupied, and it gave them a chance to talk to each other about what was going on. After a little bit, they didn’t notice anyone out there, so they figured it was safe.
