Mandy’s inner muscles contracted fiercely around him as her climax persistently started to build, her lungs struggling for air, her skin beaded with sweat. Ethan buried his face in her hair and inhaled deeply, kissing her neck and rubbing his cheek against hers. Telling her how much she drove him crazy as he made love to her, sweetly, honestly.
He linked his fingers with hers and drew her arms up over her head, pinning them high as his pace increased, his gentle strokes replaced with urgency. Inside her, he hardened and swelled further, taking her breath away with each thrust.
“Keep going, baby,” Mandy pleaded as the flames licked higher and faster. “I need to feel you deep inside of me. It’s been so long.”
Ethan growled, eyes flashing danger, face flushed with the strength of his control. Her hips rose to meet his and she felt him stop, reach a hand between them, and pull her tight into his strong embrace. Her last hold on resistance snapped and she finally gave in to the fall.
“Now, Ethan,” she whimpered, throat sobbing as finally, she erupted around him. Ethan came with a fiery roar, pumping his hips furiously before finally collapsing on top of her.
He released her hands and cupped her sweat-dampened face, kissing her lips tenderly. With one last look of possessive delight, he pulled out of her, both of them shuddering.
“Ethan, the time…” Mandy said, eyes absently moving to the clock and then widening when she saw they only had a few minutes left.
Ethan chuckled, not looking the least bit perturbed. “We’ll just have to be late,” he murmured, running an index finger down the middle of her cleavage bared by the half-open dress.
They lay there for a bit, just smiling and stroking each other tenderly, Mandy’s fingertips tracing the thin line of hair that ran the length of his chest down to this navel.
"I want to stay like this forever, Ethan…but we really have to go," Mandy said with a regretful sigh. "The venue promoters put a lot of thought into the party and you don’t want to be late.” She sat up as Ethan reluctantly slid off the couch. "But I'll need my panties back."
"Yeah, I guess you do, huh? Can't have my girl walking around without her panties," Ethan chuckled.
He had a sly grin on his face. "Well, get them then," he said, indicating his right jeans pocket.
Mandy rolled her eyes, but she stuck her hand in to rummage in the confines of his snug-fitting jeans. A slight frown crossed her face as her fingers came in contact with something hard and round, not silky and lacy. She unearthed the strange object. "What's this..." she began, only to gasp when she retrieved what looked like the biggest diamond ring she'd ever seen.
"Well," Ethan replied with a wider grin. "That’s for you."
Mandy's eyes widened in surprise. "Ethan! What? I don’t understand."
"I'm proposing, silly," he teased, kissing her forehead. "I know it’s not the most romantic way to do it, but…”
Mandy looked up at him and saw fear in his eyes…fear that she’d reject him. She stared at the beautifully designed ring and then up at his wary smile.
"Ethan. I... I just never dreamed you'd..."
"I know." Ethan replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "But you’re all I’ve ever wanted, Mandy. Why wait? We know this is real…this feeling that we have when we’re together. I want to marry you, Mandy. I want you to be my wife."
"Oh Ethan," breathed Mandy. Ethan’s wife. Nothing sounded more perfect, more incredible. She slipped the ring on her finger, tears staining her cheeks.
"Yes! Yes, I’ll marry you!" Mandy squealed, throwing her arms around him.
Even the sudden, loud knocking on the dressing room door did nothing to shatter the moment. Ethan pulled Mandy into his arms, melding her softness against his hard body and as he leaned down to claim her lips, she saw much more than passion in those blue depths. She saw forever.
