So Far Gone in You(Primal Heat 2)(45)

Zach led Coop over to Quad and then settled him into the passenger’s seat. “Thanks.”

“Anytime,” Zach said and then shut the car door.

Coop glanced in the backseat to see Karidon passed out. It was better that way. He hoped his best friend didn’t wake until he was fully healed. Still, the mental healing would take longer.

But Coop was there for the guy. Not only would he stick by Olin’s side but his best friend’s as well.

Chapter Ten

Four weeks later…

“Will you stop?” Olin laughed as he tried to roll away from Coop.

“Get back here,” Coop said as he pulled Olin to his chest. “I can’t help it your birthing ring turns me on.”

Olin shivered when Coop pressed a kiss to the nape of his neck. It was funny how he’d run from this, from Coop. And now he didn’t want to be more than a foot away from the guy. But he could play hard to get. He knew Coop loved when he pretended to be irritated with him.

“My breathing turns you on,” Olin said.

“True. True.” Coop nibbled his way over Olin’s nape as his hand slid over the small distention of Olin’s belly. His hand stayed there as he nuzzled Olin’s neck.

They’d just made love, and it seemed Coop couldn’t get enough of Olin. He pulled his hand from Olin’s stomach and then turned over until he was on his back. Coop tapped his hip. “Ride me, little leopard.”

“I don’t know,” Olin said in a sing-song voice. “Has your vehicle passed inspection? I can’t just get on in the delicate state I’m in if your vehicle is a hoopty.”

Coop chuckled. “I can assure you, fine sir, that my vehicle is a freaking muscle car, top-notch.”

“We are like the corniest couple,” Olin teased as he slid his leg over Coop’s ripped stomach and then settled over the man, resting his chin on his folded arms. “Now what?”

“You take this finely tuned machine for a ride.” Coop reached behind Olin and pressed the head of his cock at Olin’s well-lubed entrance. “Lift that pert little ass of yours.”

“So bossy.” Olin lifted his hips and then sank down onto Coop’s shaft. He groaned and let his head fall forward as his bonded mate’s cock filled him.

Coop’s hands rested at Olin’s sides as he spread his legs and planted his feet firmly on the bed. Olin shuddered as he pressed his hands into Coop’s chest and Coop began to thrust upward.

“Will it always be like this?” Olin asked as he slowly opened his eyes and stared into Coop’s.

“I’ll make damn sure that it is,” Coop said, “because I don’t ever want you to stop looking at me like that.”

“Like what?”

“Like I’m the cat’s meow.” Coop chuckled and then groaned.

“So corny but I love it,” Olin admitted.

Coop tightened his hold on Olin’s hips, his movements growing faster. Olin was the first to fall over the edge, his orgasm sweeping over him. The corded muscles in Coop’s neck strained as he came. Olin had sighed and rested his cheek on Coop’s chest, ready for a nap, when they heard shouting in the hallway.

Olin leaned up and frowned at the door. “Now what?”

If anyone was invading the house, Olin was going to drop-kick them. He’d had enough chaos to last him a lifetime.

Coop tapped his side. “Let me up so I can go see what’s going on.”

Olin slid to the side, and Coop scooted from the bed. Olin’s bonded mate dressed before he stepped into the hallway. Curious, Olin dressed and did the same.

Syn stood outside Talyn’s bedroom door, rubbing his hands over his head as he paced.

“What’s going on?” Coop asked.

Syn’s head snapped up, and relief flooded his expression. “Gabriel is in labor.”

Did Olin want to see what was going on? No. Did he want to see what was in store for him? Yes. He moved down the hallway and reached Syn just as Dane came running out of the room, green at the gills.

“Don’t go in there.” He held his hands up to Olin. “It’s…it’s…” He threw his hand over his mouth and raced away. One of Olin’s brows rose as he watched the guy.

“That bad?” Olin asked when he turned back to Syn.

“Considering I’ve never watched a cub being born, yeah.”

Loud, thundering footsteps echoed in the hallway. Olin turned to see an older version of Talyn and a young blonde woman hurry down the hallway. “Did we miss it?”

“Dad?” Syn said. “What on earth are you doing here? You didn’t call to say you were coming.”
