So Far Gone in You(Primal Heat 2)(33)
Olin thought about giving up his job at the club. He thought of how drastically his life would change. Images of him waddling around with a swollen belly entered his mind. And then he remembered Coop’s guarantees.
If Coop bit him, they would be able to have many babies over the course of their life. If Coop didn’t bite him while in Primal Heat, they would still be bonded mates, but Olin’s body wouldn’t go through the change.
They would forever be childless.
Taking in a fortifying breath, Olin cupped the back of Coop’s head and pressed the man’s canines against his shoulder. “Bite me.”
A loud, vibrating purr rumbled through Coop’s chest before he sank his teeth into Olin’s tender flesh. Olin cried out as his second orgasm tore through him.
Coop’s hips pistoned forward as he continued to purr into Olin’s shoulder. His thrusts became erratic, and then Olin felt Coop fill him with his seed.
Olin gasped for air as he finally settled back. Coop licked at the wound, purring. The wound would heal, would always be sensitive. In the future, whenever Coop touched it, Olin’s body would respond.
Coop slid his cock free and then spooned behind Olin, wrapping his arms around Olin and pulling him close. Olin lay there staring at the window and then smiled to himself, feeling content for the first time in his life.

Coop shot up in bed when he heard something crash down the hall. He eased away from Olin, who was sleeping, and grabbed his pajama bottoms, putting them on before he hurried from the room.
“Fire!” Karidon shouted from the living room.
Coop rushed in to see the curtains ablaze. The fire rushed up the walls and covered the bookcase, where a ton of books littered the shelves. The books only fed the flames. He raced to the kitchen in search of a fire extinguisher but didn’t see one anywhere.
“Coop!”
His heart lodged in his throat when he heard Olin shouting for him. When he returned to the living room, half the room was engulfed. There wouldn’t be time to try and put the fire out. The only thing he could do was get everyone out.
He heard another crash, this time from down the hall where the bedrooms were.
“Go get Ollie,” Coop shouted at Olin. He turned to Karidon. “Get Fester.”
Coop raced down the hall and burst into the bedroom just past the bathroom. He hadn’t known whose room it was, but he spotted Mya up, scrambling to gather things in her arms. When he looked behind him, he could see smoke coming from under the door of the room across the hall.
“We don’t have time,” he said as he rushed to grab her arm.
She raced to the window, flung it open, and then threw the items onto the front lawn.
“I’m not losing my precious memories,” she cried as she went for the closet.
Smoke filled the hallway and spilled into Mya’s bedroom.
“We have to go, now.” Coop grabbed her around her waist and hoisted her flailing body onto his shoulder before he entered the hallway. The smoke was so thick that he couldn’t see, couldn’t breathe.
“Olin!”
Coop saw flames licking their way down the hallway. He had no choice but to retreat to Mya’s bedroom. He set her on her feet and grabbed the television from the stand, heaving it at the large, middle window. The glass shattered. He hurried across the room and slammed the door shut.
“I need you to put something on your feet,” he said, although Coop’s feet were bare. “I don’t want you to cut yourself.”
She shoved her feet into her slippers and then grabbed the jewelry box from her dresser before she nodded.
“Okay, come over here and let me ease you out of the window.”
Thank fuck this was a one-story house. Coop grabbed her by her waist and lifted her, leaning over the windowsill before she jumped clear of the bushes. A sharp pain shot across his abdomen, and he knew he’d cut himself on the broken glass still clinging to the sill.
When he eased back, blood trickled down his belly. Coop grabbed a pillow from the bed, empting it, and then used the pillowcase to press against his wound as he leapt out the window. He hit the ground and rolled, shouting at the pain in his gut.
When he looked up to search for Olin, a shotgun barrel was pointing in his face.
“What are you doing, Fisher?” Mya shouted as she grabbed at Fisher’s arm, but the guy shoved her away, making Mya fall to the ground.
“There’s a mighty nice bounty on your head,” the guy said to Coop. “And I plan on collecting it.”
Another man appeared from around the house with a knife to Olin’s throat. Coop snarled as he pushed from the ground and got to his feet.
“I wouldn’t do anything rash if I were you,” Fisher said, “or Craig will slice the punk’s throat.” Fisher moved behind Coop, and then Coop felt something hard snap around his neck.
