Six(38)

By:Hilary Storm

"What the fuck, lady. You almost shot me."

"I hit exactly what I aimed for. The next shot I take will make you scream." She lowers one of the guns to point at his dick once again. He grabs it again, trying to protect it and I start to remember things from my past.

"Ed Douglas. What do you know about him?"

"He owed the club money. We went to collect." Six gets stir crazy with his reply.

"This isn't about fucking money. You don't rape and kill over money." He sits up in his chair better; I can see his eyes searching for an escape. What he doesn't realize is she's not the one he needs to be trying to get away from.

"TEX. Tell me what in the fuck had you killing Annie Douglas and nearly allowing Ed's daughter to follow in her footsteps? Quit fucking around and tell me."

He looks at me with a look of defeat. Sadness washes over him and I watch him struggle to speak.

"Blade. You're my boy. My son. I'd never do anything to hurt you." I reach out and run my hand over Six's arm, sliding it down until my hand is over the gun aimed at his head. She looks at me with an uncertainty and I nod, before I slip it out of her fingers. I let her keep the one aimed at his dick.

"My father wouldn't rape a woman. He wouldn't have to. My father doesn't kill innocent women or children. He's helped me rid the streets of many dead beat parents who beat their children. My father doesn't send eight fucking men out to pick up a woman. A woman who just happened to be with my sister."

"Alright, I'll give you the real story. Ed hired us to kill his wife."

"LIAR. He wouldn't do that."

"Said he had a policy out on her and we'd get paid once he collected." She drops the gun and leans against the wall as he continues to talk. "He never paid."

"Maybe he didn't appreciate you raping her."

"He actually paid more to make sure we did, said he caught her fucking some guy and wanted her to pay." She raises her gun again and I wait for her to pull the trigger because honestly, I would. I would shoot him in his fucking mouth for agreeing to do such a heinous job.

"How did you sleep at night?" She's no longer yelling. Her tears muffle her words as she speaks with repulsion on her face.

"Shit went south fast on that deal. We've spent years trying to get away from that type of business."

"Why did you send your gorillas after me last night, then?"

"I didn't. I'm laid up in this chair."

"I DON'T BELIEVE YOU. THEY REMEMBERED ME. WHO ELSE WAS THERE THAT NIGHT? I WANT FUCKING NAMES."

"Memphis was there." He's one of the other original members of our club.

"Do you know why he would put out an order on her?"

"Ed is preparing to run for President next year. I can only assume it's a way to remind him of his roots."

"WHO ELSE?" I'm going to have to think about bringing her to trial. She's fucking terrifying.

"There were five men there that night besides me, Memphis, and the man Blade killed. Three of them have died since."

"So that leaves two. We know at least one was there at the attack last night." I do the math quickly, attempting to narrow it down.

"I want names. I need to know who I'm running from." She's irritated and I don't blame her.

"I'm not letting you run. I'll take care of you."

"I can't ask you to risk any more than you already have. There's been too many people killed and this is a fucking mess."

"Tex. I'm going to ask you to do something. Call Memphis over, but first let me get my guys in here to record it. He’ll talk to you."

"I can do that."

I turn to Six and plead with her to let him help bait Memphis into talking.

"He’ll pay for what he did to your mom, but first we need to work to make sure you're safe." She rightfully hesitates, looking at him once again before handing me the other gun. I get on the phone with Shadow instantly and have him on his way with everything we need.

I turn back around to hear Tex talking to Six.

"So you're Tori. I was told about you from a few of the guys. It looks like you've got my son all tied up. Can't say I blame him." She's not impressed. Tex isn't used to not winning over the ladies. I don't think he has a chance in hell at winning this battle.

"Shadow is on his way. Text Memphis in about an hour and have him come over. I'll hide our vehicles in your barn out back and we’ll be upstairs."

"I can do this, but get me some more fuckin Tootsies. How am I supposed to act normal if I don't have a cigarette or candy in my mouth?" I look over at the bullet hole in the table and decide it's something that needs covered. I set a magazine on it, grab the candy from the floor and set it in his lap. She picks up the glass and hands him another bowl from the kitchen.
