Shifter's Baby(214)
Callie sighed. “I’ll be kind of glad when I can get out of here and go back to school.” She said without thinking.
Wyatt shifted his eyes to the rumbling water. Disappointment crippling his entire being. He couldn’t begin to find the words to say what he wanted to say.
Chapter 4
Callie peered in to the deep water from the bank of the lake. Desperate to cool off, she had stripped naked and was about to jump in. Wyatt had become quiet and withdrawn since they had talked behind the waterfall, so in an effort to give him space she had walked down to the water’s edge. Even after months of knowing him in ways a step-sister never should, she hadn’t figured out how to reach him when he became like that.
She knew that he was watching her as she stripped off and she had to admit that she did it partly because he was. She hoped that perhaps it would make him smile and maybe even bring him out of his shell.
Dipping her toe in to the water, she felt a shiver run over her naked body. The water was much cooler than she had expected it to be, but it made a nice break from the sticky summer air. Glancing up at the waterfall she smiled and then waded in to the water. Her nipples hardened as soon as she got thigh deep. Wrapping her arms around herself she rubbed her hands over her arms that were dimpling with gooseflesh. She wondered how closely Wyatt was watching her from the dimly lit cave. She imagined him stroking himself while he watched her. The thought made her warm up much more quickly.
Walking forward she let the water lap at her soft warm skin. “It’s so cold!” She squealed, just loud enough for Wyatt to hear her.
Two more steps forward and she stepped off the ledge and her body sank down to her shoulders. Kicking her legs Callie stayed afloat although she was more than a little startled at the sudden drop. Had she not had the forethought to start kicking she would likely have gone under completely.
“Holy shit!” She shouted up to the waterfall. “I nearly drowned!” There was no response.
Figuring that Wyatt either couldn’t hear her, or was too engrossed in his mood to care, she swam towards the waterfall. As she approached it, the roaring of the waters got deafeningly loud and she decided that Wyatt most definitely hadn’t heard her. Swimming to the rocks on the side, she found her footing on a few of the underwater rocks and managed to stand up again. The water came up to her shoulders and she held her balance with one hand against the rocks lining the waterfall. She stuck her free hand out to feel just how strong the wall of water was. It pushed her hand gently. Deciding that it was likely safe enough, she slid under the side of the rush of water. It pounded against her head loudly. She had expected that it would be like something out of an exotic shampoo commercial, but instead it was like someone taking a jackhammer to her skull. Slipping back out from under the water, she swam back out in to the lake and squinted up at where she thought Wyatt would be. She waved.
While the water felt great on her warm clammy skin, swimming alone was much less enjoyable than she had anticipated. She beckoned for Wyatt to come down and join her. When after a few minutes he didn’t, she began to wonder if he hadn’t slipped and fallen in the cave. It wasn’t like him to be so brooding, he didn’t usually hold grudges – at least not against her. She was just about to go looking for him when he appeared at the mouth of the cave. Every inch of his dark tanned skin showed as he strode over to the bank of the lake.
“Come on in, it feels really good!” Callie said, trying hard not to stare at the thick cock that hung between his legs. She was failing miserably.
“It looks like it does.” He said dipping his toe in the water. “Wow that’s freezing!” He said, pulling his foot back.
“Come on, don’t be a pussy.” Callie joked.
Wyatt squinted his eyes at her. “Oh you are so going to get it when I get in there.”
Callie stuck out her tongue. “You aren’t going to get in here, you’re too much of a pussy, remember?” She asked.
Wyatt stepped in to the water and with a shudder he walked towards Callie. She squealed and tried to swim away, but not too hard in case she actually got away. “You are in so much trouble.” Wyatt said as he stepped unexpectedly off the ledge and disappeared momentarily under the water. When he came back up he coughed and wiped his face with his hands. “Holy shit! A little warning next time?”
Callie swam over to him. “Are you okay? I did the same thing but I caught myself before I went under. I thought you saw me…” She said.
Wyatt shook his head. “Nope, didn’t see that coming.” Callie swam just past him and sat on the rocks where the water reached just to her shoulders. Wyatt followed. “Now that you’re here though…” He grabbed her under her arms and picking her up effortlessly he moved to throw her back in to the deeper water.
