Shattered Edge(18)

“Holy hell Justin. No damn wonder I get my panties all wet when I think of you!” I felt, rather than heard his laughter. I opened my eyes to see his face right above mine and him laughing.

The next thing I knew, his hands were underneath my ass and he was picking me up. My fingers were still clenched on his shoulders and I asked, “Is this how we’re going to eat dinner?”

He let out another loud bark of laughter. “Only if you want. I had something else in mind at this time though.”

We walked, or rather he did, lugging me around his waist and still inside of me I might add, through his bedroom and into his bathroom. I spied the shower so I had an idea of where we were headed. My oh my, this was going to me a very nice evening.

An hour later, we emerged all nice and clean.

“So, are you hungry?” he asked with a wicked gleam in his eye.

“Well, what do you think?” I sassed back.

“I hope you are because I have some good stuff for us to eat. Come on.” He grabbed my hand and I stopped him.

“Aren’t you forgetting something?”

“Nope,” he said with a smirk.

I didn’t have any clothes. He tossed me a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I put on the shorts and was happy to find the drawstring on the waist. He tugged it tight for me and tied it up.

“You look very cute and sexy in my clothes Ms. Mitchell.”

“Er, thanks I think. But I can spot a bull shitter you know.”

“Terri, that stuff is still on your eyes.”

I moaned. “I know! I can’t get this crap off. And my eyes are getting redder and they’re so itchy. Look.”

He bent down and really inspected them. “Honey, I think you need to see a doctor about that.”

I poked him in the ribs. “Will you be serious?”

“I am.”

“You are a doctor.”

“I’m a surgeon. You need to see a dermatologist. I don’t know a damn thing about this kind of stuff.”

“What is it with you doctors anyway? You only know certain things?”

“That’s right. It’s called being a specialist.”

“That’s so annoying. You all should know everything.”

“Honey, that’s ridiculous and you know it. That’s like saying a plumber should be an electrician too.”

I grumbled at that but he had a point. “Whatever. I don’t have a dermatologist.”

“Jackson’s wife is one. Do you want me to call her and get you an appointment for tomorrow?”

“Could you?”

He grabbed his cell and made a quick call. Then he gave me a number to call and told me it would be set up and all I had to do was call her office in the morning. I hoped I still had eyelashes in the morning.

We went down to the kitchen where Justin had prepped everything for the meal before I got there. He was cooking salmon on a cedar plank, orzo with grilled vegetables and a salad. He poured me a glass of pinot noir and got to cooking. Forty minutes later, we were eating a scrumptious meal.

“Wow, that was really good. I didn’t know you had these hidden culinary talents,” I marveled

He laughed. “Pearce and I used to have cook offs. We’d make our friends judge our meals. We thought we should be on Iron Chef or something, I don’t know.”

“This was probably the best salmon I’ve ever eaten.”

“Probably? Probably?” His chair flew back and he grabbed me. I was lifted off of mine and thrown over his shoulder in a flash. “Remember what happened the last time you made a comment about me like this?”

“Oh yeah. I ended up giving you an amazing blow j...”

“Okay, stop. You win!”

He slung me around until we were face to face.

“Will the sexual attraction always be this intense between us?” I asked. The question had been on my mind, but I had no intention of asking it. I was shocked I did. My hand flew to my mouth and I covered the O it had formed.

He put his hand around my wrist and pulled it away from my mouth. In that deep and husky whisper of his, he answered, “I don’t know, but God I hope so because it’s a staggering thing.” Then his mouth was on mine.

Not much later, he walked me to my car. He tried his best to talk me into staying the night, but I decided it wasn’t the best idea. Everything in my body begged me to stay. My tingling nerve endings, my pounding heart, the way my heart shifted when he touched me. But I also wanted to have some rationality about this whole thing too. When I was near him, all rational thought developed wings and was out the window like a damn bird.

We kissed, soft, slow and easy.

“Think of me, how I am when I’m inside of you making you come, when you’re all alone in your bed tonight Terri,” his breath tickling my ear as he whispered to me.
