Ruined: Loving An Alpha Male(149)

I rolled on my back and pulled her to me to where she was lying on top of me. She straddled my hips and leaned in to where our lips were almost touching.

I inhaled her scent and watched the love and adoration in her eyes. I really don’t deserve this woman, but I’m thankful that she’s here none the less.

I put one of my hands in her hair and the other rested on her shapely and squeezable ass.

I said, just as softly, “And you, my angel…you deserve to be loved, admired, desired, spoiled, and protected. Until I take my last breath, I will make it my life’s mission to give you everything you have ever wanted and more. I can’t wait to make you my wife. I can’t wait to marry you.”

I kissed her with as much passion as I could express in a kiss. I sat up and put both my hands in her hair as I moved her head to deepen my kiss.

When I pulled back, I only hovered inches from her lips.

I said huskily, “Put me inside you, baby. Let me show you how much you’re desired and loved.”

If you ever get a chance to find the person you were meant for, I hope you don’t waste any time trying to figure it out. Time is precious, and wasting it could only result in you missing out on the most beautiful and treasured thing in your existence.

I made love to my soul mate all night and into the morning. I held her close to me, trying and hoping that she could feel safe and protected, loved and desired, wanted and—most of all—needed. I plan to tell her everyday how much she means to me. I’m not too proud to tell her that and show her that. I don’t care what anyone thinks or feels. She’s mine, and I’m hers; ‘til death do us part and even after that.

Chapter 26

Epilogue

I could hear the panic in his voice when I answered the phone. He’s been on edge ever since we arrived in Hawaii. I couldn’t expect anything less than this idiot calling me in the middle of the night before our wedding day.

“Mason, you all right?” I asked him.

I heard him clear his voice before he said, “Actually no…I’ve been thinking…”

Aw hell. “Uh-huh.”

“Angel, do you think we really should be doing this?”

I knew he was nervous. Hell, I knew he was stressed out. It was his idea to have this wedding in Hawaii, thinking that hardly anyone would come. But he was sadly mistaken. We have almost fifty guests here waiting for us to take the plunge—mostly his family, which pisses him off even more.

“What do you mean, Mason. Do you not want to marry me?” I asked him.

“Baby…I’m not saying that I don’t want to marry you. Fuck, you’re the mother of my beautiful twin boys. You’re the love of my life…It’s just…I can’t stand this shit.” He got quiet then said softly, “I need to see you, baby.”

“We can’t, Mason. It would be bad luck for you to see me before the wedding.”

“I don’t give a fuck about that. I need to see you, baby. Come on…Please? I just want to look in your eyes and know this is really what you want, that I’m really what you want forever.”

“Mace…”

“Please? Just meet me, okay? Remember that cliff we went to last night? Can you meet me there just for a few minutes? I promise to behave. If you like, I won’t look at you.”

I laughed. “I thought you wanted to see my eyes and all that.”

“Okay, scratch that. See I can compromise. Come on, angel. If you love me, Allura, you’ll meet me.”

I laughed again. “You are pathetic, you know that?”

“Yes, I do.”

I was quiet for a minute. Then finally I said, “Okay, Mason. But this needs to be really quick. Give me about thirty minutes to get dressed.”

“No!” he said quickly “Just come as you are.”

“I can’t come as I am.”

“Why? Are you wearing your wedding dress right now?”

“No, but…”

“Are you naked?” he asked, with a hint of desire in his voice.

“No, you pervert.”

“Okay, then come on. See you—or rather, hear you—in fifteen minutes.”

He hung up, and I just stood there. I didn’t have my wedding dress on at the moment. I had just put that dress up a few minutes ago. I did have on my after wedding dress. It was an off white long silk gown that swirled around the curves of my body and draped down to the ground. There was a split up my leg that stopped at my thigh.

Mimi curled my hair earlier, and I promised to sleep on a special pillow so all she had to do was touch it up. So I let my hair hang around my shoulders, grabbed my key, and walked out to meet my hubby to be.
