Red Hot(Sex & Mayhem #5)(112)
“‘Jack’ will do. Unless you wanna call me ‘bearded God’ or something.”
“No one ever used a pet name for you?”
Red Jack stilled. “I’m guessing Carrot-top, Pube-head, or Spotty doesn’t count?”
Loki sighed. “Those fuckers, they were just jealous that you stand out so much.”
“Doubt that. Let’s get cleaned up or we’re both gonna stand out with the smell of cum.”
“We’re already smelling of vanilla and raspberry. It’s like Candy’s using the baking essence as perfume,” sighed Loki, pulling away from Red Jack without much enthusiasm.
Jack patted his ass with a smile. He hoped to live long enough to do this again with Loki.
Chapter 31
Loki stuffed his face with a spicy, deliciously sweet cake. It was fluffy and a lot like a gingerbread loaf, only with a pleasant hint of bitterness. Candy was still busy in the kitchen, popping out every now and then, but with the whole house smelling of buttery dough and beef, it looked like they’d be staying for dinner once Sam arrived.
Loki didn’t mind their hostess’s absence. As much as he liked Candy, he was more than eager to be alone with Jack. Their bodies were still tingling with the aftershocks of sex, smelling of rich vanilla and sperm. Loki kept his hand behind Jack, touching him discreetly enough to pull away in case someone invaded their privacy. He couldn’t help but smell Jack’s flushed skin, and every drag of the scented air brought back memories of Jack’s back arching, the strong muscle flexing in a way that made Loki want to bite straight into it. That tight, wonderful ass was so amazingly cozy, but as nice as the fucking had felt, it was Jack himself, the way he’d yielded to Loki that really kept coming back to him. It made Loki all warm inside that Jack had gone for it because he wanted them to be close, even when thinking it wouldn’t really feel that great.
“You think this has alcohol?” asked Loki, chewing on the dough.
Red Jack smiled. “I sure hope so.”
A door slamming made Loki pull back his arm, but it was Lucy, not Monster nor Sam walking into the room.
She eyed them both with a bit of a squint. “So… where’s Monster?”
Candy walked out with a bright smile. “Oh, hey, the guys will be back soon. Are you staying for dinner?”
Loki wet his lips, staring at Lucy, suddenly alarmed. He slid his arm out from behind Jack’s back but kept his hand splayed open between them, touching Jack’s thigh with just the tip of his little finger. What was she doing here? She looked completely different than at club parties. Her long black hair was a bit messy and as much as the tight black T-shirt and jeans stressed her slim silhouette, it was nothing like the sparkly outfits she wore for stripping. She looked like any other attractive woman.
“Do you have gluten-free options?” Lucy asked, but her eyes were on Jack and Loki.
“Um… I suppose I could work something out,” Candy said with a hint of annoyance to her voice.
“What happens if you eat gluten?” asked Loki, increasingly agitated by Lucy’s presence. He took a cautious glance at Jack, and yes - he definitely checked her out.
“You get all slobby and bloated,” Lucy said with a straight face. “But you can do whatever you like. I just rather avoid it.”
Jack put away his half-eaten cake.
“So you’ll have Candy make something just for you? Can’t you just make an exception once? It’s not like you’re actually allergic,” said Loki.
Candy didn’t say anything, pretending to look at her nails. Ha. Jackpot. Loki would much rather be on good terms with her than Lucy.
“What’s your problem? I don’t have to eat anything. I was just asking if there was an option. Maybe I’ll just go.”
Jack groaned. “Maybe it’s for the better. We’re waiting for Sam and Monster. We’re gonna have stuff to deal with later.”
Lucy put her hands on her hips. “I came here to help you out with that, you ass. Monster asked me. But I guess I better be going.”
Loki shot to his feet. She was the person Monster recruited? He took a deep breath. If Lucy was here to help Jack, he’d stand her. He could do that. “Look, that didn’t come out right.”
She took a cautious step back. This wasn’t good. “What’s up with your eyebrows anyway? You two look like aliens.”
Jack rubbed his forehead. “It’s a long story. Did Monster tell you what this was about?”
“Yeah, sort of. He said they’ll fill me in on the details. He didn’t say it was for Mr. I-will-cut-you-bitch here.” She pointed at Loki.
