Logan shook his head thinking, God, us humans are idiots. How could we not have figured out that werewolves existed? A group of over two hundred ridiculously good looking people living together should bring attention to themselves. He was jolted out of his musing when Rane let slip that Kirby was pregnant, and in a little over six months there would be a new addition.
He blamed it on the pain that he was still in when he said, “What! We can breed with animals?”
Rane growled, and so did the hot blonde.
His mother gasped at him and he winced when she used his full name. “Logan Jonathan Brown, I did not bring you up to be like this.”
He sighed and looked over to his brother for back up, and was shocked to see him glaring at him with a look of disappointment.
Logan turned back to his mother. “You can’t tell me you’re happy that your only daughter is married-mated to a werewolf, a being that turns into an animal?”
His mother’s face was red as she turned to Rane, then the hot blonde. “I’m so sorry.” She then turned back to Logan and whacked him upside the head. “These…beings, keep us safe, they have from the beginning of time, and I wouldn’t care who my daughter…” She turned to Hayden. “…or son chose, as long as they are happy.”
He looked to his brother again, who always had his back, but today he had his arm around the blonde. Hayden was looking at the blonde the same way she was looking at him.
“No, no, not you too. Fuck this!” Logan turned and walked out the door.
