The question caught Angel off guard. It was a romantic fairy tale, a dream come true. “Where is this coming from, mi amor? Is it because of Jimmy and Audra’s wedding today?”
“Yeah. It reminded me of the day I married Jessi. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I want to share that same happiness with you. It’s not fair that we got to stand up in front of everyone and vow to love one another forever and you don’t. I want everything to be fair between us. I want everything to be equal.”
Marriage? A wedding? Angel wanted to explode with happiness, but he didn’t know how Jessi felt about the ceremony, and he didn’t want to detract from her wedding day with Tommy. She had been silent, which could be an indication that she wasn’t as happy as he and Tommy were about the idea.
Angel tried to tone down his smile and put his exuberance on simmer. “Jessi, how do you feel about this? Are you bothered by the idea? I need you to be honest. You won’t hurt my feelings. I promise I won’t be mad.”
She sighed and cocked her head to the side. A tiny smile appeared on her lips. “After all this time together, are you still questioning whether or not I truly want you in our lives? I love you, Angel. I want to marry you just as much as Tommy. This wedding will be for the three of us.”
“You knew about this proposal?”
“Yes,” she nodded. “Tommy spoke to me about it before we decided to abduct you.”
Nothing sounded more perfect to solidify their commitment to one another than a ceremony. It would be an amalgamation of hearts, a fusion of their love. It didn’t matter that their union wouldn’t be sanctioned by law. It was a personal vow to be shared with friends and family and each other.
Angel had often fantasized about marriage before he met Tommy, but once they fell in love he knew that it wasn’t a possibility because Tommy was already a married man. He never resented Jessi, never wished she wasn’t part of the equation. She was always a part of their love and brought support and happiness to their relationship. She was an integral part of the trio. They each had their role to fill and if one fell short, they all tumbled. Now the proposition of a polyamorous wedding brought Angel’s long-gone dream to life. He was getting married!
“You never answered my question, Angel.”
“Of course I’ll marry you, my prince! And you too, Jessi – mi princesa!” He threw his arms around Tommy and stretched them to include Jessi. “I love you both so much. This calls for a celebration!” He ran downstairs, found two bottles of Cristal in the wine fridge, and returned to the bedroom without bothering to grab glasses.
He jumped onto the bed, shook one of the bottles of champagne and positioned it at his crotch. He aimed it at the ceiling, thrust his hips forward and popped the cork. White foam shot through the air, sprayed across the bed and showered Tommy and Jessi.
Jessi shrieked with laughter and held her hands in front of her to protect her freshly-dyed hair.
Tommy crawled toward Angel on his hands and knees with his adorable butt swaying in the air. He stood on his knees, took hold of Angel’s thighs for support, and opened his mouth to catch the champagne spray. White foam dripped down his chin and splashed onto his magnificent chest. Angel eyed a lone streak of champagne that traveled down Tommy’s torso and disappeared into his dark blond pubic hair. He fell to his knees and sucked the champagne foam from Tommy’s mouth and chin. He pushed Tommy down on the bed and licked the wetness from his chest. It was mixed with the delicious salty flavor of his body. Angel splashed more champagne onto Tommy’s chest and it collected in the gully between his pecs. Angel lapped it up and sucked on Tommy’s nipples. Then he splashed some champagne onto Jessi’s belly. It pooled in her navel, and he sucked it out.
She rolled with laughter and covered her waist with her arms. “That tickles!”
Angel took a long draw from the bottle. “I’m so excited! I want to shout it from the balcony!” He handed Jessi the bottle so she could drink, jumped off the bed and rushed to the terrace. He threw open the French doors, stepped into the chilled night air and leaned over the railing. “We’re getting married! Everyone, wake up! We’re getting married!”
Somewhere in the distance a dog barked back at him.
Laughter from Tommy and Jessi came from the bedroom. “What the hell are you doing?” Tommy called to him. “You’re naked!”
Angel ran inside, grabbed them both by the hand and pulled them onto the balcony. They protested, but he dragged them out anyway. He wanted everyone to know how much they loved one another.
