They moved to the arc of Tommy’s chest and each traced his nipples with one finger, which caused Tommy to sigh. They outlined each one of his ab muscles and placed a kiss on either side of his torso at the same time. They were in sync, and she realized they were beginning to share the same mental connection that she and Tommy had always shared.
Tommy took each of their hands from his body and brought them to his lips. “I’m so happy. I could stay right here on this float in the middle of the ocean forever, as long as the two of you are with me. I’m so happy the three of us had a wedding ceremony. My wife. My husband.” He held their hands against his heart, and they automatically shifted into position so their palms were stacked on his chest and their wedding rings were aligned. The sun glinted off the highly-polished metal like the light that shone in their hearts.
The rings took on a new meaning since the ceremony. They were bonded together by their vows. “I have two husbands,” Jessi said aloud. She had always referred to Angel as her other husband, but now the statement took on credibility.
“You polygamist,” Angel teased. “What’s even more surprising is that I have a wife, and one as beautiful as you.” He leaned across Tommy and placed a small kiss on her lips.
She smiled back at him, then at Tommy. She was probably the envy of millions of women, with two of the most gorgeous men on earth as her husbands.
Her thoughts drifted to their wedding and the elegant ceremony. The only thing more uncharacteristic than seeing Alyssa in a flowing, strapless gown was Damien in a tuxedo for the second time in a month. She smiled at the memory. All of them were handsome in their tuxedos, even little Mason, who was growing up so fast.
The three of them cuddled together under the warm glaring sun. Jessi was filled with content. Their lives were full. Calm. Settled. Harmonious. She had been waiting for this day for a long time . . . since she had that conversation with Angel when the band returned from their tour in Asia.
She looked over at Tommy and was never filled with more love for him. “I want to have a baby,” she said softly.
Tommy popped his head up from the platform. The lazy haze left his eyes, and they widened with surprise. “What did you just say?”
“I want to have a baby. We’ve talked about it. Briefly.” She put her hand to his cheek. “The time is right, Tommy. Please say yes.”
“Yes?” He bolted to a sitting position, and his smile turned into a short laugh. “Of course I’m saying yes!” He pulled her into his arms and held her in a tight embrace, then kissed her.
She still didn’t know how to balance touring, designing, and running a business, but they would figure it out. She let out a giddy laugh, cupped his face in her hands and pressed her forehead against his. “I didn’t expect you to get on board so quickly.”
“Are you kidding? Hon, I’ve been thinking about the same thing over the last few months, ever since Mason showed up. It made me see how much love and happiness a kid would bring into our lives.”
Jessi suddenly became aware that Angel wasn’t part of the conversation. She looked past Tommy at Angel, who was sitting quietly with his arms around his knees. He had a heartwarming smile on his face, though he looked left out, sidelined from participation. She grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him in for a hug.
Tommy wrapped his arm around Angel’s neck, and the three of them shared an embrace.
“A baby!” Angel exclaimed. “I’m so happy!”
Jessi hugged them both a little tighter. “We’re going to be a family.”
Chapter Four
Tommy ran his hand across his freshly-shaven jaw and stared out at the beach from the deck of the villa. The sun beat down from above and blinded him. It was their last day on the beautiful island of Viti Levu, and he didn’t want to leave. The honeymoon was their first real vacation since the band skyrocketed to fame, and he cherished the solitude away from the constant recognition and lack of privacy. “I don’t want to go home yet.”
Jessi wrapped her arms around his waist. “Neither do I.” She brushed her cheek against his and made a purring sound. “I loved how sexy that little scruffy beard looked on you, but this baby-soft skin is irresistible.”
The word “baby” in her description made him smile. Since their decision to start a family, it was a constant thought in Tommy’s head.
“What do you think, Angel?” Jessi asked. “Do you like Tommy better with the beard or without?”
Angel tilted his head and studied Tommy’s face with a smile behind his deep onyx eyes. “I honestly can’t decide. That small bit of golden-blond facial hair accentuated his rugged exterior, and it made his eyes glow like hot, blue flames.”
