Outlaw's Vow: Grizzlies MC Romance(193)

The thing was almost heavy, studded in sharp cut diamonds like stars in a halo of golden sunlight. My knees almost dropped out, but I held on, forced myself to squeeze my old man's fingers tight.

“Thank you,” I whispered. “It's amazing.”

Smiling, Blackjack turned to the stranger behind him. “Angus, get up here. Finish it off for these kids.”

The thin man cupped his hands over his mouth, covering his long mustache. “By the power vested in me by the state of California, you're man and wife. Start locking lips so we can kick off this party!”

Brothers cheered. Roman didn't wait for another word.

In a flash, his hands locked around me tight, pulled me in, buried me in his eager, powerful heat. The storm on my lips drowned out all the manic celebrations surrounding us.

I didn't think he had it in him to kiss me harder than all the times before, but he did. Oh, yes.

His lips plowed mine, possessed me, took total control of what was eternally his.

And I kissed him, shoving my tongue against his, feeling him as he led me on a dizzying taste of everything to come. Everything below my waist tensed as his tongue pistoned in and out of my mouth, conquering me, promising me hell between the sheets for the honeymoon.

I couldn't come up for air. His hands kept me hooked to his body, the same as his lips, and he kissed me so long and hard my nails raked his jacket.

“Fuck, babe,” he snarled, coming up for air at last. “You kiss me like that again, and we won't even stick around for the reception.”

I was about to do it, just to tease him, when Brass and Missy got up between us. Missy rubbed against me like an overgrown kitten. She couldn't hug me with Caleb smiling in her arms.

“Congratulations, girl! I can't believe this. Thanks for taking charge too. You know there's probably going to be a few more weddings around here now that somebody's finally tied the knot?” She flashed Brass a wicked look.

I laughed, and reached out to stroke my son's little chin. Caleb giggled, grabbing at my fingers. It was strange to think my new husband and I had already created the greatest gift two people could.

Jesus, my husband. I looked at him, and I still couldn't believe it.

But the crazy scene in front of us didn't lie, and neither did the bank busting ring on my finger. I knew he did well for himself when he got the house, but I didn't know the club's profit share went so far.

“Fucking congrats, brother.” I walked up next to Roman just in time to hear Brass talking. “You sure you wanna take that limo ride after all? You're gonna be driving that truck a helluva lot more once you pump out a few more kids.”

I laughed and rolled my eyes. “That'll take some time. Besides, he's got to keep up on riding for the MC, and I won't get in the way. We're pretty happy getting used to all this with just Caleb. It's not like we'll be a huge family overnight.”

Roman shot me a wild look like I'd just said the sky was pink. “Babe, it's happening a lot quicker than you think. We'll adjust. We're gonna have the biggest family in this town.”

I laughed, even though I knew he was deadly serious. Hell, so was I. He'd find out soon about the surprise I had waiting for him. I reached for his hand and squeezed, wiggling my fingers against his.

Love can be a powerful thing. Here, it was so potent I'd really try to give him as many kids as he wanted. He'd already saved our lives several times over, and it only seemed right that he got to take charge of a few more.

“Unbe-fucking-lievable!” Rabid bounced forward with Christa at his side, shoving aside the VP, grasping Roman's huge free hand in both of his and shaking it like mad. “You're a married man! You got any idea what that means?”

Roman chuckled. “I think I do after being up here at the altar. You'd better be next in line, brother.”

He looked at Christa. She wrinkled her scarred face, but something about the glint in her eyes told me she wanted it.

“It'll happen soon,” he growled, pulling on her hand. “Shit, it's all roses from here, isn't it? The cartel's off our ass, and business is ready to boom! We're finally living the dream, bro. Fucking finally.”

They shared a long, intense look, and it was like I could see a hundred terrifying old battles unfolding in their eyes. A hundred battles, won and buried, but never forgotten.

All the sweat, all the blood, all the pain had brought us all together.

Then somebody started tugging on my long white skirt, and I swirled around. A small ball of excitement jumped up and threw her arms around my neck.

“My daughter! Welcome to the family!” Julie Forker nearly put her giant son to shame with the choke hold she had on me.

I nearly tripped on my heels after all and went crashing to the ground. Roman noticed at the last second and pulled me up by the waist, swatting his mother's greedy hands away.
