One More Chance (Part 2)(52)

By:T. Renee Fike.

“I knew it,” he says laughing.

“If you knew it, why did you let me open the damn door?”

“They didn’t say anything so I figured maybe they weren’t in there,” he says still laughing, “It’s okay babe, I’ll make you forget everything you just saw,” he says as he pulls me down towards our bedroom, which is at the end of the hall.

“Please, please make me forget,” I say as I start unbuttoning his shirt.

“Sorry you two, not yet,” Brody says smugly from the doorway.

“Why not?” I whine.

“We need a few more pictures.”

“Well, we aren’t really going to have everyone in them,” I say quickly.

“Yeah you will, Quinn already busted in on Kenzie and Spence and told them to hurry up, she’s giving them ten minutes to get downstairs,” he says laughing, causing Liam to laugh too.

“It’s not funny,” I retort.

“Sure it is babe, who would have thought those two would ever hook up?” Liam asks laughing.

“Ugh, I don’t care, let’s go,” I say as I drag Liam back down the stairs.

Kenzie and Spence come down a few minutes later, looking like they were on their best behavior. Not a hair is out of place on Kenzie’s head.

“We need to talk then,” I whisper to Kenz as I’m heading towards Lily and Liam.

“Sure,” she says as she follows me.

We get picture after picture and before long, my mom and dad are taking Lily for the night.

“Are you going to be all right with her not being here?” Liam asks worriedly as he shuts our bedroom door.

“I’ll be fine, plus it’s not like she’s far.”

“True, but no running down to get her, you are mine tonight, all mine,” he says as he saunters towards me looking all kinds of sexy.

Tonight we make love for the first time as husband and wife and I couldn’t feel more loved.

(Chapter Eleven 8 Months Later)

At graduation, I get to walk across the stage, knowing I would not be here if it weren’t for my family and friends and Liam. This last year, having a baby and still being able to remain caught up in all of my classes was extremely hard, but with everyone’s help, I’m here.

“Congratulations baby,” Liam says as he kisses me passionately, not caring who’s watching.

“Get a room,” Brody jokes before coming over to us.

“We did it,” I say as I give him a hug.

“We sure did.”

“Sweetie, did you and Liam think any more about moving back to Delaware?’ Mom asks.

“We can’t Mom. I took the job in Michigan where I get to interview different athletes.

“Baby, you can interview me anytime,” Liam says smugly.

“I was hoping I would get to see this precious little girl more,” Mom says sadly as she kisses Lily’s head.

“We will visit as often as we can, plus you can come here too,” I say, hoping that smooth’s things over.

“Sounds good, I can work with that. I need to get some pictures,” she says excitedly, handing me Lily.

“Hey sweet girl. Mommy loves you,” I say staring into my blonde haired, blue-eyed daughter who looks more and more like her daddy every day.

“Daddy loves you too,” Liam says as he kisses her on the head, “And I love you too,” he says before kissing me. “So, I’m thinking we should tell them.”

“Today?” I ask surprised.

“Yeah, why not?” he asks with a look.

“I don’t know, I hadn’t really thought about it.” We are interrupted for pictures and once they are all over with, I couldn’t be more thankful. After we’re done, we all head back to our house for cake and conversations.

“Hey everyone,” Kenzie says interrupting everyone, “I have some news to share with everyone,” she says looking nervous.

Suddenly, Spence stands up and walks towards her.

“What’s going on?” I ask being nosey.

“Spence and I got married,” she shouts in excitement.

“Married? When?” I ask as I stand up and rush towards her to see that she does in fact have a wedding band and ring on. “Holy shit, congratulations,” I say happily.

“Damn, I didn’t know you two were that serious,” Liam says, as he slaps Spence on the shoulder.

“Yeah, we kind of kept it quiet.”

“I mean, we figured something was going on after our wedding when we, well you know, but why didn’t you say anything after that?” I ask surprised.

“We didn’t know if it would work, because he’s here and I was in West Virginia.”

“So, what now?” I ask confused.
