On His Terms(16)

By:Jenika Snow

“If anything he’d be your bitch,” Cora said and grinned. “But seriously, think about it for a second. You want him, despite his douche-bag attitude. He clearly wants you pretty damn badly, enough to dish over that kind of money.” Cora leaned forward. “And you need that money. Honey, you know if I could help out I would.”

Sorcha nodded. “I know, and you’ve already helped me out by getting me that job.” Sorcha smiled, and knew that if not for Cora she didn’t know what she would have done. She had known the other woman since high school, and after Sorcha’s mom died Cora had been the only one that stuck by her side and gave her the strength. With Sorcha’s dad leaving her and her mom when she was a child, and no other family, her mom had been her best friend. Then life came crashing down around her, she found herself in this hell that was meant just for her, and she didn’t know what to do. “I’m afraid that by agreeing to do this with him, that I’m degrading myself.” She glanced at Cora, and felt tears form in her eyes.

“You want him?” Cora asked.

“You know I do, but signing my life away to him makes me no different from everything else he thinks he can buy.”

“I won’t tell you that you should do it, although I think this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, one that will help you get out of all of this.” Cora grabbed her hand and squeezed it. “I see how much you struggle with yourself, trying to get through all of this, and it’s never enough. If you decide you don’t want to do this, you know you can come and stay with me and Tyler.”

Sorcha shook her head. “Your apartment is the same size as mine, and I couldn’t impose on you guys like that.” This was the third time Cora had offered for Sorcha to stay with her, but she couldn’t do that to Cora and her fiancé. They needed their own life, and having Sorcha move in would definitely put a cramp on all of that. She glanced down at her bills, knew that what she was going to do would be like selling her soul to the devil, but she also knew that if she wasn’t contemplating it then she wasn’t going to turn it down. Yeah, she wanted Rian, had fantasized about him, too, and it looked like a solution to her money problems had just been granted. But at what cost?

Chapter Six

Rian stared at Sorcha, feeling amusement and annoyance fill him. He felt this life inside of him at the fact she agreed to be his, to sign the contract and do whatever he said, when he said for the next seven days. But on the heels of that excitement and anticipation was the fact she thought she’d have control. “I may want you because of your resistance and the fact you don’t like my shit and don’t pretend to, but we will get one thing straight right now so there are no preconceived notions going into this.” He sat behind his desk and stared at her. It was Monday morning, and although he had felt this jittery kind of sensation as he headed into work this morning, and felt it grow when he stepped off the elevator, he knew that what he was afraid of was Sorcha not sitting at her desk. But she had been standing there, as if eagerly awaiting his arrival. And then the image of her doing that by his bed … just waiting for him had hardened his cock to the point he could have ravished her right then and there.

She nodded slowly.

“During your time with me things run on my clock, Sorcha, and on my rules. If you want to proceed with this then I want you to know that what I say goes.” He tapped his fingers on his desk, his pinky ring clanking on the wood.

“Well, I have my own rules before I sign anything.”

She was counter offering. He grinned.

“I will not be hurt during my time with you, even if that is what gets you off.”

“In the contract it is stated that I wouldn’t harm you.” He stared at her, letting her understand what he was saying. “But there will be pain, and I guarantee it will please you.”

She shook her head. “I’m not into BDSM.”

“And neither am I. I’m not looking for a submissive woman that will let me tie her up, crane her ass, and put nipple clamps on her. But I won’t lie and say that looking at your ass hasn’t had me thinking of the different ways I could make it red with my hand.”

Her cheeks turned red, and she shifted on the chair. She was getting aroused, whether she admitted that to him or not.

She tightened her jaw, and narrowed her eyes at him. Ah, there was the little spitfire he grew hard over.

“I’ve read the tabloids, heard what those other women claimed you did to them.”

“Many of the things a certain ex-lover said was fabricated, if that is the instance you’re referring to. I don’t hurt women for the sake of getting my rocks off. I didn’t do anything that they were not consenting to, Sorcha.” His anger grew. “Don’t for one moment think that I would ever force myself upon a female, or make her do something she wasn’t comfortable with.” He watched her throat work as she swallowed, and he sensed a bit of her resistance leaving. “These women are angry for what I wouldn’t give them, and because of that they wanted to somehow tarnish my reputation.” He was still angry, and growing more so by the second as he thought of her thinking he would ever hurt a woman. His hands were now tight fists on top of the table.
