My Guardian Angel(42)

“Hmm.” I held up my finger to my cheek. “I have been a bad girl and you should punish me, over and over again.” I smiled. He threw me over his shoulder and carried me upstairs, for what he called a bad girl reprimand.

My body ached as I stretched out and felt Jason lying down next to me. Man, he could be rough with me when he wanted to. He was fast asleep, his tattooed arm over his head, giving me a perfect view of his upper body. I reached out my fingers and slowly feathered his stomach. The small mounds, which made up his abs, were clear for me to touch. He stirred for a moment. I pulled back my hand, afraid I might have woken him up. Jason was still asleep. My ogling hadn’t awoken him. Like a moth to a flame, my hand slowly went out to continue its exploration. His nipple piercings were two little barbells. I gently touched the two tiny silver balls, which peeked out on either side of his nipples.

“Hmm,” he said sleepily. Okay, maybe I did wake him up. I pulled back my hand but he grabbed it.

“Don’t stop,” he said as he held my finger tightly.

“I woke you up,” I said begrudgingly.

I wanted more time with him as he slept. He looked so innocent with his boyish features almost showing.

“Yeah, you did, but in the best way.” He turned over and pulled me into his chest, his arms wrapping themselves around me like a vise. He breathed in deep as he inhaled my scent. He growled as he held me.

“You smell so good,” he burrowed his head deeper into my shoulder. I smiled. I felt so safe with him, with his powerful arms around me, caging me in. It was exactly what I had always wanted.

“So, what do you want to do today?” I asked. He pulled back a little to see my face.

“I can think of something.” He wiggled his eyebrows. I giggled.

“Enough! I hardly slept last night because of you.” I acted miffed. As if! Like I would be angry about having hot, wild sex with my boyfriend, who was a SWAT officer and younger than me.

Jason insisted that we go to the gym. I was about to argue with him until I saw him wearing the bottom half of his tracksuit and nothing else. Yum, I thought as I watched him.

“Are you done drooling? Can we go now?” He smirked.

I rolled my eyes and got up to get ready.

I walked into the gym; bimbo Jessica was at the reception; her fake smile leaving the moment she saw me.

“Hi Kass.” Her voice sounded like a high-pitched squeal.

“It’s Kassia,” I said, none too pleased as I scanned my card. Jason watched our exchanged with skeptical eyes. He reached out for his card and scanned it.

“Welcome back, Jason,” she said happily, batting her eyelashes a mile a minute. I sighed heavily and shook my head as I headed into the women’s locker room.

“What was that before?” He thumbed to Jessica.

“She has a thing for my brother,” I grunted, “and apparently a thing for you, too.”

He laughed hard as he took my hand and led us to the weight area. I begrudgingly let him pull me, no longer in the mood to work out. I wanted to be in my bed asleep with his warm body tangled around me.

“Come on, Kass. Just one hour, that’s all I'm asking,” he purred, trying to coax me out of my grumpy mood.

“Fine! As long as I get what I want in the end.” I narrowed my eyes and pouted. A slow grin started to etch across his face.

“And what’s that?” he asked, his devilish smile firmly in place. My belly dropped the moment I saw it.

“You’ll see.” I smiled and walked away from him.

Kass, you are not allowed to have dirty thoughts about him in your brother’s gym! I scolded myself.

I picked up some weights and started to train. Jason went straight to work. No messing around with him about his workouts. I watched as he lifted his weights and listened to his music.

“Are you going to stop drooling or am I going to have to ask Jessica to come here and wipe the floor with the mop?” Darios whispered in my ear, scaring the shit out of me.

“Really!” I nearly shouted, as I held my heart.

“No! You really!” he hissed at me.

He peered down at me, willing me to get up and talk to him. I stood up from the bench and slowly followed him to his office. I saw Jason look at us as we walked away. He stopped then continued with his workout.

“So you’re seeing him now?” he accused as he closed the door to his office. I sat down in his chair and began swiveling around.

“Yes,” I answered as I kept turning.

“Kass! I don’t fuckin’ like it!” he barked.

“Well then, you don’t have to date him,” I said nonchalantly.

“Kass!” he bit out.
